This turned out just stunningly, and you are such a splendid colorist that you could make any set of pencils look wonderful i am sure! I do use arrtx and really love them and the price is great for my budget. If a picture doesn't come out well I don't feel like I have wasted my good pencils! Please show more videos like this one and i am going to try to follow along. Thank you for your demonstration in coloring in Johanna Basfords book as she is a great artist also. Bye for now from a faithful fan, Esther
I freaking adore these pencils! I have prismacolor, like 5 diffferent derwent sets, caran dache sets, and polychromos but these I use freely without that feeling of them being too expensive/precious to use. The color range is excellent and the texture of them is wonderful. The packaging is cute but definitely need one of those zip pencil cases for them. Theyre excellent for the price and for the use. I can color with these and save my expensive brands for my own art.
Thank you for this video, Olivier! It was fun and informative. Thank you for reminding me of your pretty and soft bokeh technique!!! Would love more of these type videos from you when you can!!! 🥰
Since the barrel or laquer on most pencils.does.not match the lead, I tend to do a swatch on a white paper sticker (the freezer label stickers work well for that) and put it on the pencil. This way, it works well for me to id3ntify the proper lead for my.colouring.
I followed your video and the instructions were great. My picture turned out beautifully, thank you for sharing your time and talent. I will be following your videos closely.
Thank you! I think it got worse after the voice recording for this video haha. Anyway, I'm glad you like this video and please share what you think of these pencils ✏️❤
It's always a pleasure to see you coloring ! I have the same opinion on the Arrtx pencils, and mine makes noises coming from the barrels. Hope you feel better soon, Olivier. Thank you !
Aw that's a bummer! Fortunately I don't think mines make any noise but the colour quality is not consistent throughout the whole 126 colours, which bother me a little as now I kinda have to avoid using certain colours 😞. But they still have the best pigments that I've used when it comes to "budget friendly" pencils ☺️
Gorgeous picture! I was disappointed in this set also. I had exactly the same problems with this Asparagus green. It didn't blend with dark green and yellow like it should. I tried many times. The black was also very scratchy. Some of those pencils are defective, even though this is the replacement set they sent me. I really like the colors, though. I just try not to use them in backgrounds and things like that.
Warm hugs for you dear Oliwia and I hope you recover quickly.🤗 I put these colored pencils aside, but after watching this video I think I can give them another chance 😁 so thank you 🩷 As always, you don't disappoint and you created another beautiful work of art 😍 🥰
Thanks Ewa! I hope you and your kids are feeling better. I haven't had much time to sit down and write back to you just yet but I'll be soon I promise ❤. I'm glad you like the video! And yes do try them again, I think they are lovely to use for small/quick colouring. So if you want to save your nice pencils for other pages, these are good alternatives hehe
Thank you so much Olivier for your insight on the Arrtx pencils. I was considering getting them on Amazon AU but they were out of stock, which I think it may have been an omen, so I will stick with the pencils I enjoy working with Prismacolor and Polychromos.
Ohh no really? Well you can add them in your Christmas wish list hehe. They are perfect to play around with when you don't want to break out your nice expensive pencils ❤😊 Have you seen the prices of prismacolor in Australia recently? They are outrageous 😬
@@OlivierOdorant Oh I just checked again and it now appears to be available again. But NO!! I have plenty of options if needed without spending more $. 😄
Hello Olivier this is wonderful. Still watching. Sorry to bother which white pen do you use the pen that does not scratch off when you apply your pencil on top of it. 💐
Hi! I have so look many questions! I hope it's ok!! First, I'm loving this! I plan on watching the whole thing! Ok about things you use...I need a good swatch book...what are you using? How do you get the boxes to look so nice? How do you keep everything lined up so perfectly? Do you think you can do a tutorial on how you drew the leaves and flowers and coloring them? I'm going to explore your channel after this....but wow!, also how did you get that square w8th the flowers in the beginning so perfect? What size is it? Same with the circle one?..anyway thank you so much!
Hiiii! Thank you for watching and all the questions ☺️. Of course it's ok to ask! Ok let's see... the swatch book I used is Derwent Academy - Artist Visual Art Diary. It's an A5 and pretty cheap in Australia (you can get them in different colours at Office Work). I'm not sure where you can get them outside of Australia though so maybe have a look around. Hmm I did use a ruler to sketch out all the little boxes. I can do a quick tutorial in my next video! It's a bit hard for me to explain in words. The flower box I just simply sketch it out lightly with pencils first, but I don't use ruler or anything like that, just roughly guessing. The dimensions is 4.5cm×4.5cm. Circle is the same, I just used a compass. Yes I can do a tutorial for the flowers and leaves (I used lots of references of real plants + I've been colouring a really long time so I'm really familiar with lots of simple flower and leaf shapes). My older videos are quite different from the new ones as I was taking a long hiatus but if you like colour along or interested in colouring in general, the old videos are still helpful for beginners. 😊🩷
Please more format like this as a form of review rather than other videos from other chanel that just do some swatches and blending samples on some color. I feel this is more informative.
I’m enjoying my set, but I did put them in a pencil case. For the price, I feel like I got what I paid for and there are some missing tones for certain colors, as you said, they neglected some colors a bit. Overall, they give me decent coverage and they lay down nicely and keep a point well, without breaking. I’m using them with both Prismas and Polychromos to fill in any missing shades. I’d say, one of my best budget friendly pencils, along with Brutfuners. Enjoy🌻🌸🌺 P.s. I love your Patreon channel, you’ve got some great tutorials 😘
I agree these pencils are great as budget friendly pencils. I wish they sell them open stocks as well. But arrtx team is really good at listening to their customers so I think they will improve their products even better in the future. I need to find a case for these pencils as well. Such a shame I can't use the box as it's so pretty 😞. Arrtx need to make a pencil çase with that beautiful art from the box!
Thank you! It's called Global Art Materials Drawing Book, Square in Ultramarine colour ☺️. I got on Amazon Australia ages ago. I'm sure you can find something similar to this one!
Quando tiver com vontade de se desfazer de material de pintura, ou mesmo livros usados , me chame eu iria adora ganhar, gosto muito de pintura mais não tenho condições de comprar tudo.

The leaves and flowers you draw in your swatch books are beautiful! The page you colored from Johanna's book is stunning!

I really like them. Smooth laydown. Nice pigment

loved your video as always, have to agree with you about the pencils they are nice enough for budget but not anything like a prismacolour
Thank you so much for sharing another great video. I’ll watch again later and color along with us. Was great to see a video from you. Take care.😊

Hello Olivier this is wonderful. Still watching. Sorry to bother which white pen do you use the pen that does not scratch off when you apply your pencil on top of it. 💐
You can use arrtx acrylic brush marker for bigger areas or artline decorite brush pen for smaller details 😊
Bel video, molto interessante! Complimenti.
