僕の夏休み - This summer, my friend Bingen and I took a break from our Japanese language school to embark on an unforgettable journey to Mt. Fuji before the hiking season ends.
We rented a car and first drove to Odawara, where we explored the historic Odawara Castle, known for its impressive architecture and beautiful gardens. Next, we headed to Hakone, where we visited the stunning Hakone Shrine and took a scenic cable car ride up Hakone Mountain. From the summit, we were treated to breathtaking views of Lake Hakone and the shrine atop the mountain, with Mt. Fuji looming majestically in the background.
Our adventure continued at the Mishima Skywalk, Japan's longest pedestrian suspension bridge, offering panoramic views of the landscape. After soaking in the sights, we made our way to Motosu Lake, where we camped for 2 nights, waking up to Japans most beautiful scenery.
We also explored the other lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji, each providing a unique perspective of this iconic mountain. Finally, we geared up and prepared to hike Mt. Fuji itself, eager to experience its beauty up close!
