James is a musician and music producer from Newcastle, Australia.
He currently releases various music under the artist name J-163 and is a member of the metal band King Trio. When not working on his own music, James offers freelance music production services in songwriting, recording, mixing, mastering, podcasting and voice-over acting.
Over the past few years, James found a passion for assisting struggling youth and people living with disabilities to achieve their creative and performing arts goals by working as a mentor for disability support providers.

Special thanks to my wife, two children and parents for always being my biggest supporters and source of inspiration.
That playful syncopation from the guitars coming out of the breakdown section into the lovely little chill passage with the light vocal is #ChefsKiss imho. Love it. Between this & the other single (which I also very much enjoy- I don't need, or want, every song to be fast & furious), I'm looking forward to buying the album. :)
p.s. I'm over 40, so I don't give a sh!t about videos. This was absolutely fine for me. Don't get me wrong, when I see something truly outstanding like Ren's Money Game Pt.3 single continuous shot live capture extravaganza, I'll stand up & clap as loudly as anyone.... but I'm always about how the song makes me *feel* ...then I'll take a look at lyrics... but I rarely care about music videos. I reckon that's an "old-head" approach to new music tho, so you may well be right that vids are important in grabbing young'uns' attention these days! I'll check back in later to see what any of said young'uns comment re. the vids.
An absolute classic song writing technique that when executed correctly can really elevate a song, really makes that final chorus hit super hard!
To be honest, I don’t think it needs a music video because the song itself does bring a certain feel/mood/vibe that carries the song and seems to be resonating with a lot of people (me included). But because it does have a music video it deserves a little criticism.

Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out, I’m super keen for this one! I’ve been a fan of SOAD since I was 12 and have been watching all the podcasts Serj has been doing lately, I love his approach to creating and exploring his creativity.

I bet if you tell them to stop putting things in there videos I’m sure they’ll obey it just to make you happy. That’s the most petty shit I’ve ever heard.
Jeez, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Obviously not expecting the band to “obey just to make me happy”, however I do know that Chris Attwell (the bass player) will be watching this and I hope that what I said comes of as sincere and a compliment to all the hard work put into the song and music video and that the info cards (in my opinion) weren’t honouring all of that hard work.
