Abraham means father of many nations
If you read carefully you will see the issue is child baring. [GENESIS]
Him and his wife couldn't have a child so The Ancient Of Days promised him to not only give him children but he would also be the father all people to come on earth.

      Dear Maria,
Do also keep in mind that once Hagar had her baby , that she also wasn't pleasant, even "somewhat arrogant", toward Sarah who couldn't conceived !! Even though Sarah's suggestion to her husband Abraham was not according to God's Law..., it was adultery !! They should have trusted The Word of The Lord God Almighty, Most High.
Of course, it was grieving for Hagar to have been send into the desert. But The Lord heard her cry as a former-servant and now with a child having been born out of wedlock.
Nevertheless, her behaviour towards Sarah hadn't been innocent either... To be able to conceive and then mock an older woman for not having been able to 😖 !! That must have hurted Sarah very much also.
      Anyway 😏,
God bless you and your extended ones, Maria 💐
Sincere regards in Christ Jesus Our Lord

Blessings of God be upon all brothers and sisters, children of Adam.
Please remember, we all are servants of God including Jesus.
Jesus is just a servant of God. Jesus cannot kill God but God can kill Jesus. Jesus is accountable to God but God is not accountable to anyone. Jesus do not know what is in the heart of God but God knows what is in the heart of Jesus. Jesus needs God all the time and God is not in need of anyone or anything. The life of Jesus is in the hands of God but the life of God is not in hands of anyone.

SORRY, BUT : NO💯‼️THAT IS A 100% LIE OR, IN INNOCENCE THOUGH, FOLLOWING A WRONG TEACHING‼️
      ⬇️
JESUS WAS CONCEIVED THROUGH THE BREATH OF GOD : (JUST AS IN GENESIS ADAM CAME ALIVE THROUGH THE BREATH OF GOD ALMIGHTY) ONLY JESUS CAME ALIVE IN A VIRGIN CALLED MARY‼️
THAT'S WHY JESUS WAS CALLED AND IS STILL REFERED TO AS "THE SECOND ADAM"‼️SO, THERE WAS NO SEX INVOLVED !! THAT'S ALSO WHY JESUS IS : THE ONLY (!!) BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. NO ONE ELSE IS THAT BUT JESUS OF NAZARETH !! JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD THAT (THROUGH MARY) BECAME FLESH AND DWELLED AMONG US 💯 (JOHN, FIRST CHAPTER). JESUS AND GOD'S WORD ARE ONE AND THE SAME !! NO ONE ELSE IS THAT 💯‼️
JESUS CAME TO SERVE MANKIND (!!), NOT ONLY HIS FELLOW HUMAN BEING, MALE OR FEMALE. NO ONE ELSE SERVED LIKE THAT !! THROUGH THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY HIS BREATH : JESUS CAME FROM THE HEAVENLY FATHER TO AN EARTHLY MOTHER !!
MARY LOST HER VIRGINITY WHEN GIVING BIRTH TO BABY JESUS‼️NO ONE ELSE HAS BEEN BORN LIKE THAT‼️ THAT'S (!!) WHY JESUS IS THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD !! JESUS CAME TO SERVE MANKIND IN OVERCOMING THE EVIL OF DISOBIDIENCE TOWARD GOD BY BECOMING GOD'S SACRIFICE FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS 💯‼️ THAT'S WHY JESUS IS CALLED THE LAMB OF GOD‼️
NO OTHER IS LIKE JESUS‼️JESUS, HAVING GIVEN HIS LIFE FOR ALL MANKIND AS A SACRIFICE, IS NOW SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, MOST HIGH‼️NO ONE ELSE SERVED LIKE THAT‼️JESUS IS NOW OUR MEDIATOR IN ETERNITY‼️ THROUGH JESUS CHRIST WE NOW CAN HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, MOST HIGH‼️WE CAN ONLY SERVE RIGHTFULLY WHEN HAVING ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR -> WHEN SERVING OUT OF THE NAME OF ANYONE ELSE, IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE TO GOD 💯‼️ JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY, THE ONLY TRUTH AND THE ONLY LIFE 💯‼️
AND THOSE ARE THE WORDS OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD WICH IS JESUS (!!), NOT MINE.
BE VERY CAREFULL NOT TO GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT 💯‼️ THAT IS A SIN THAT CANNOT BE FORGIVEN‼️
I WISH FOR ALL, HAVING READ THIS TO TAKE THIS TO HEART 💞💯‼️ YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS OUT ON GOING TO HEAVEN WHEN THE DAY OF THE END OF YOUR LIFE SHOULD COME 💯‼️
BUT THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY HAS GIVEN YOU A FREE CHOICE TO CHOOSE FOR OR AGAINST HIM !! THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT YOU CANNOT FORCE SOMEONE TO LOVE !! GOD LOVES YOU, ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE. HE HAS SHOWN YOU HOW MUCH BY BRINGING HIS WORD TO LIFE IN A VIRGIN CALLED MARY. AND WAS TOLD BY AN ANGEL TO GIVE THE LIFE (THROUGH THE BREATH OF GOD) IN HER THE NAME JESUS 💖💯‼️ NO ONE HAS EVER SERVED LIKE JESUS, NOR WILL ANYONE EVER SERVE LIKE JESUS. HE IS THE ONLY (!!) ONE 💖💯‼️
AND THAT'S THE TRUTH 🎯, BECAUSE JESUS IS THE TRUTH‼️
AMEN (HEBREW FOR : SO BE IT !! IT IS DONE !!) IT'S THE EQUIVALENT OF WHAT JESUS ON THE CROSS SAID AFTER HAVING TAKEN THE SINS OF THE WORLD ON HIM AS A SACRIFICE, HE SAID ; "IT IS FINISHED" 💯‼️
      THAT'S THE TRUE GOSPEL 💌

The Angel told her to go back, because as a runaway slave, she'd be executed without any defense.
By going back, she has her life spared from the Desert, and from Sarai, while still getting what she wanted: getting sent into the desert as she wanted.
Had she of ignored the Angel, she'd of not received God's blessings from her faith, and would have received death by desert, if not by Sarai's hands.

@23joker I remember a bible movie I watched in my elementary in 4th grade. The story was really different compared to this video. Hagar and Ishmael were jealous at Isaac and felt like they want to kill him. Hagar neglected Isaac when he almost died by drowning in the river but Sarah saved him. Ishmael beat Isaac as much as he can. I never seen Sarah had any scenes being the bad person towards Hagar and Ishmael. Sarah was really smart. she kept her distance from them and made plans with Abraham to kick them out. None of these were mentioned in this video, I wondered what was that movie I watched?

The devil is in the details, or names in this case: Abraham means "father of many (descendants), Sarah(i) means "female of status (princess, queen, etc), Hagar means flight (escape), Ishmael means "God hears (please, prayers)." Abraham is the father of the Abrahamic religions, Sarah is representative of tension within and among them, Hagar is the reaction that tension and Ishmael is the way God helps the people of God by hearing their prayers. By being cast out into the desert, there was reason to pray.

Hagar was of Egyptian heritage as well as her Son Ishmael who name means “God hears”. Ishmael was called a wild donkey of a man which means he was fiercely aggressive and had an independent nature he would exhibit, along with his Arabic descendants. Hagar recognized the Angel as God and ascribing this new name to him arose from Hagar’s astonishment at having been the object of God’s being gracious to her. Hagar’s seeing the theophany and revelation led her to call him also “the Living One” who see’s me (Genesis 16:11-14). Ishmael would become a patriarch of Islam based upon legends that have developed around him and information found in the Qu’ran. Ishmael who Abraham genuinely loved (Genesis 17:18) would go on to be blessed and become the father of twelve rulers and became a great nation, but God’s covenant would be established with whom Sarah would later bear Genesis 17: 19-21; 21:11-13). Ishmael was last mentioned in Genesis 25 and as a matter of fact, Esau marries a descendant of Ishmael since his mother Hagar didn’t want him to marry Canaanite women ( Genesis 28:6-8; 36:3). The Ishmaelites are mentioned as a people group in Genesis 37, Joseph’s brother’s sold him to Ishmaelite traders who took him as a slave to Egypt. Islamic lore reports that Abraham took Hagar and Ishmael to Mecca, and although he Ishmael is considered a patriarch of Islam, although this isn’t accurate to say that all Arabs are descended from Ishmael, many probably are and there is conflict still to this day that strife between the descendants of Isaac and those who see Ishmael as their father.

The Bible speaks both of Ishmaelites, the descendants of Ishmael, and of Arabs, but does not join them together. I. Ephʿal has pointed out that the references to Ishmaelites are earlier in the Bible, and the references to Arabs later. Both refer to non-sedentary, nomadic peoples, but they are separated by centuries. Ephʿal concludes that references to ‘Ishmaelites’ cease by the mid 10th century BCE, and the references to ‘Arabs’ only commence in the mid-8th century BCE, so “there is no historical basis to the tradition of associating Ishmaelites with the Arabs”.†
The Bible does link the Ishmaelites with the Midianites, using these names as synonyms in two places. Genesis describes Joseph as being sold to a caravan of camel-riding Ishmaelites who are also called Midianites (Genesis 37:25-28, 36; 39:1; see also Judges 8:22-24).

Abraham essentially had to "sacrifice" both sons in a way. He had been with Ishmael longer and had grown to love him as a father would. It hurt him to leave the kid and his Mom in the middle of nowhere. I guess that separation prepared him emotionally to be willing to sacrifice Isaac. Maybe he was thinking "Well God, if you can take one son, You can take this one too. What say do I really have in the matter. None. " He had to be a man of faith, else he would have been emotionally broken. Sarah was selfish. Hagar. Poor Hagar and Ishmael. They didn't ask for ANY of this. Sarah helps me understand why the mistreatment of African slaves in America lasted as long as it did. Her behavior also helps me understand that the feminist movement in America was not for "all" women, but for those with white skin who were bitter and arrogant and wanted to have more power and esteem than people of color. I believe in Jesus, I do. Luckily the will of God happens when people give in to the flesh. I have to read more about Ishmael and his descendants.

In Quran it is quite different. In the beginning, Abraham left Mesopotamia “Iraq” with his wife Sarah and his nephew Lot to Jerusalem, then Abraham and Sarah went to Egypt. When they reached Egypt, there was a pharaoh who was known to rape women. The pharaoh sent his soldiers to bring Sarah to him. When the soldiers asked Abraham about his relationship with Sarah, Abraham said that she’s my sister “he said that cuz if he said she’s his wife, the soldiers will take her to the pharaoh”. The soldiers returned back to the pharaoh and told him that she’s his sister. The pharaoh gave an order to the soldiers to bring her to him. They went back to Abraham, and he tried to stop them, the soldiers took Sarah and locked Abraham in his house. Abraham started praying to god to help his wife. The soldiers took Sarah to the pharaoh’s palace, when she was in the pharaoh’s room she started praying too. The pharaoh got closer to her then he fell on the ground “he was paralyzed”. The pharaoh begged Sarah to pray to her god and promised her if he got up he will let her go. Then, the pharaoh’s body started to get back to normal until he was managed to stand up again. Then, he broke his promise and he got closer to Sarah. And fell one more time paralyzed. And asked her again to prey to her god. When he got up again he called out his guards and ordered them to take her away saying that she’s a devil. He was afraid from her so he gave here Hajar as a slave. The soldiers took Sarah & Hajar back to Abraham. Abraham took his wife and Hajar back to Jerusalem. In that time Sarah couldn’t get pregnant due to her age, so she asked Abraham to marry Hajar and he did. Hajar got pregnant and gave birth to Ismael. Abraham was so happy to have a child which led Sarah to get jealous. God ordered Abraham to take Hajar and his son to a valley where there is no life. So Abraham took his second wife and his son to south west Arabia “Hijaz”. In the journey, Hajar tried to ask Abraham where is he taking her and her son but he didn’t said anything until they reached the valley. He left with Hajar some water and food and left. Before he left, Hajar begged him to not leaving them in this place, and he wasn’t responding to her, until she asked him is this is an order from god? He said ”yes”. Hajar said “then he will not leave us”. Abraham left and went to a close mountain, he started to pray to god and said “oh mighty god, I left my wife and my son in a place with is no water, food, people and life, please let this place flourish with life and peace” and then he left. Meanwhile, the food and water that was with Hajar ran out, and her baby started to get hungry which let Hajar to panic, she started running around to hills and screams asking for help. Until she saw a shadow of a man standing next to her son. She ran to her son and the shadow disappeared. Then, she heard a voice “Gabriel” said don’t worry god is with you, this place will be flourishing and the house of god will be built here by your son and his father. Then he hit his wing in the ground and a spring exploded from the ground “zamzam water” . She lived with her son in this place until one day settlers came and asked for her permission to settle close to the spring. And the holy city of Mecca was made.
In Islam this story is one of the most important events that happen, not because it’s the origin of Mecca but also till this day when people go to Haj we go around the two hill that Hajar goes around “Al Safa and Al Marwa”. Also zamzma water is Islam is a very special water “there are scientific studies that zamzam water is the best water for drinking, because it is a natural alkaline water”
Sorry if the story was to long, I tried all my best to shorten it up. And I hope you enjoyed reading.

    اتَّخَذُواْ أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَاباً مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُواْ إِلاَّ لِيَعْبُدُواْ إِلَـهاً وَاحِداً لاَّ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ }التوبة31{

But the dilation of time in history makes the “truth” on the matter very obscure. This could go as far back as 13000 years ago, referring to the people existing before the great catastrophe/cataclysm, and the passing down of the story has turned into “woo woo”. Though a living representative of Christ’s power known as Jesus was in the 100 bc zone.

THANK YOU! People for not realize that Abraham is also the father of the Islamic faith because of Ishmael. It is said that when God told Hagar that her son is going to be the father of Nations he also said that they would be a people that would be fierce plunders and will take over anyone's land and that no other Nation can come up against his nation and win. That's the Islamic faith.
Because of Adam's dedication to his wife Sarah, she being not only impatient but also unfaithful. She did not believe that she would be able to be a mother when the angel of the Lord told her that she was going to Bear forth the promised child. She laughed. And that's what Isaac's name mean laughter because of her actions and her response to when she was promised to be a mother. By Abraham wanting to please her and he couldn't tell her no, he obliges Sarah's commands and impregnates a foreign handmaiden. What this video does not say is that Hagar prodded and poked at Sarah because she was able to have a baby and Sarah wasn't . Then when God opened up Sarah's room and then she gave birth to Isaac, Ishmael always poked and prodded Isaac and that was the reason of Sarah telling Abraham to Sean Hagar In Ishmael.

In Islam we see Ibrahim (Abraham) , Sarah and Hajar (Hagar) in a different light. Whereby Abraham was without sin or bad intention. Everything Abraham was instructed was by the want of forfilling God obligations. Hajar was left in the desert and a spring did appear. That desert area became Mecca and that spring is Zam Zam (Stop stop! Literally). Abraham and Ishmael then built the first house of worship, the Kabaa. The prophets were never drunks were never cruel and certainly didn't intend to hurt a single soul let alone Thier wife's and children.

I’m assuming Ishmael would have been 16 or 17 when placed under the bush ? Surely he would have been far more resilient to the surrounding conditions than his mother Hagar ? The story suggests he was a little boy but this is not possible when the time of his birth was Abraham’s 86th birthday and his 99th birthday when Issac was born. Also, the period of weaning that occurred before Hagar was sent off with Ismael would have been a couple of years at least ? There is something very odd about this story. We read that Abraham gave her water which she put on her back and the child was placed on her back. This would be absurd if Ishmael was 16-17. Would love to here your thoughts about this.

I think the angel wanted Hagar to have others around her to help her give birth...even if it was in an abusive situation. Sarah probably had love for Abraham's son prior to the birth...and asked Sarah calm it down as this was her idea. But as the boy grew...Sarah became resentful. And eventually banished them both.

I remember a bible movie I watched in my elementary in 4th grade.
