    Took me a day and a half trying to figure out why not all the settings are shown in my controller when I login. It happened that my version of Chrome was the problem. Switched to Edge and it solved my problem.

    Excellent illustration. Thank you - I'm thinking of purchasing an OC-200 to manage my wireless as home.

    Very useful and informative! I just added an EAP610-Outdoor to my existing system (Google WiFi with ethernet backhaul and a couple of D-Link switches) and have been trying to get a handle on whether I'd want to go with a full Omada setup with the time comes to replace what I have. I was a bit concerned that I'd be forced to custom configure from the ground up and get in over my head. This is very reasuring, and easier than some of the old Netgear stuff I did previously. Thanks for the insight!

    Hi, do you have tutorial every SSID has different IP address? like 3 SSID and have different IP addresses? thank you

      Set your multiple ssid to different vlan. Or you can use PPSK, one ssid with different network/ip address.

    Application Scenario most likely has to do with common situations like Hotels/Dormitory are sometimes tied to room# and last name+splash page-- ideally it would move through those splash pages automagically.

    I have a Omada network with a controller and a omada router. A few days ago my UPS went out so I bought a new one. I shut everything off and plugged it into the new UPS and the whole thing has soiled the sheets. I can't get it to see all the Access Points of the 9 or so that I have it will only see up to six at a time. Some times it uses 172 IP's and sometimes it's 192. Anything obvious I am missing? Is there a config file I might be able to find from the previous config?? Pulling out my hair!!

    So I tried it out the OC 200 for about two days and to be honest in my opinion it just added a layer of confusion between the user and the ER 605 cause the thing is once you have the OC 200 set up you can’t even directly go to the ER 605 to do some changes and the two interfaces are kind of similar yet very different and to be honest I remove the OC 200 and now I’m just working off the 605 but I’m wondering if I use the cloud based on out of controller do I also lose direct access to the 605 or not

    • @HFIT
      @HFIT 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The OC200 is a network controller only; for managing TP Link OMADA products, it does not have any control over non- TP Link OMADA products.

    Hi, Is it possible to also manage remote devices in other locations? I imagine you have to activate the Cloud function, but is it free?

    Hi, do you need a Tp-link switch to connect the controller or you can do it directly to the ISP port? What I actually want to do is create a mesh network using 2 Omada EAP-650, one of them wired but the other one wireless

    • @ToastyAnswers
      @ToastyAnswers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This depends on what you mean by "ISP Port". It can't be connected directly to a modem, but if your ISP device has an included switch, then it can be connected there.

    • @antoniopedroza6026
      @antoniopedroza6026 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ToastyAnswers thanks for your response. Yes my ISP device has 3 ports, so what I thought was to connect one of those ports to the controller and use the other port of the controller to plug the cable that was originally connected to the ISP port. I don’t know if that work or if I explained my self?

    Do i need to pay for a license for the controller.???

    • @ToastyAnswers
      @ToastyAnswers  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, there is no licensing involved with the Omada products unless you are paying for cloud hosting of the controller software.

    Wow great! Can I use this Omada for Ubiquiti UAP AC LR? plz reply me.

    • @ToastyAnswers
      @ToastyAnswers  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you cannot manage Unifi devices with this controller. The Unifi Cloud Key is the equivalent hardware for Unifi devices.

    • @MatjazRazdevsek
      @MatjazRazdevsek ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ToastyAnswers but you can still use AC LR from Ubiquiti as an access point for wifi. You just need to manage it via unifi controller right?

      Yes, you can designate SSIDs as guest or configure a customized guest "LAN".

    If you lose your oc 200 (failure) do you lose the ability to manage your network since devices connected omada can’t be managed locally anymore?

    • @ToastyAnswers
      @ToastyAnswers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not entirely, but it requires some recovery to get management back. Hopefully, you are backing up the controller configuration periodically so you always have a failsafe if something goes wrong.
      Strictly speaking, you do lose management if the controller dies... however you have multiple ways of regaining management again after a failure. You can restore from backup to either another hardware or software controller or (if you have the new local management password) you can login to the devices locally and point them to a new controller instance.
      If you don't have any backups or passwords then you could very well be looking at a rebuild from scratch. Always backup your data.

    I’m using software controller, had my router setup via Omada, but I changed the IP of the server running the software and I can’t get anything to register anymore. Assuming I need to factory reset. Thoughts?

    • @ToastyAnswers
      @ToastyAnswers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are a couple ways to go about this. The quickest way would be to revert the IP address and allow the devices to reconnect. From there, you can change the adoption address to the new IP.
      If you have the previous login information, you can login to the devices individually and update the "Inform URL" to the new IP address. The devices should just pop up in the controller after this inform URL is updated.

    Would the Pharos CPE510 show up on this controller? I tried to hook 1 on it, as well as 2 Deco M4Rs and the M4Rs showed up fine, but I couldn't see the CPE510. Am I doing something wrong on my end, or is it a software issue? I'd very much appreciate a quick response as it would make my boss happy to know hahaha xD aaaahhh... help....

    What if you don't have a router or anything like that

    • @ToastyAnswers
      @ToastyAnswers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Then you'd be working with an isolated network. It can be done, but there is a lot of manual/static configuration if you're going to run a network without a router. If you have a need for this, a hardware controller may not be a top priority.
