I just liberated the village fighting them the regular way and it was way more fun
I agree. This seems to be a rather cheap exploit to win s8nce AI can't climb fences
"A good defense is the best offense." Exploit to you tactics to me. Good thing about single player games we can play the way we enjoy I guess, I am sure this will be fixed when they bring out walls and other castle structures. Thanks for watching

I think i read someone liberated Farnsworth by climbing onto a house roof and shooting from there.
I’m trying to do that too…. He’s making it seem like archers are weak and it’s like the strongest thing in the game as far as I’ve seen
Build a ......\ /...... at the side you are pulling them to, so they don't move while at the wall makes landing easy shoots. also building on a hill was smart :D. Loving this game. Isn't getting enough attention as it should. Truly a rare fun game. cant wait for more content. Feels like its missing more stuff in the middle. Goes from tons to do, to needing end cities to progress. They should move a laborer to closer cities.

The initial fight isn't a problem, it's the first crew that spawns when you finish the belltower. I just lost 26 people to 10 of them. I might have to try this and set it up as an ambush pen before they get into town.
If you tried this again, I would like you to try to build your fences using the stone fence along the side of the road as 1 side? The major issue with your set up that I see is the number of arrows your people fired into the fence. The brigands cannot jump over the stone fence (although I think a 2 handed weapon like a pitchfork might hit someone standing immediately next to the fence) and is lower so maybe fewer wasted arrows/quicker kills.

I use a wooden shield and absorb all the archer attack while they walking towards town, once they run out of ammo, it's much easier to face them head-on. shield never broke down from enemy archer

I feel like many games nowadays are mixing survival and RPGs, with quests and skills and stuff.
We used to have way more simple pure survival/building games like Minecraft a decade ago.
But now, look at Enshrouded, Valheim, and Bellwright...
Not gonna lie though, I would enjoy these games even more if they were pure RPGs.😅 (like Kingdom Come Deliverance)
Yes Kingdom Come Deliverance has a very rich story line thats for sure
Kingdom Come Deliverance is my top two with cyberpunk 2077! The only thing I wish both games had is building and a little bit of managing, kinda like what Bellwright offers. Imagine if the DLC in KCD, where you build your own village, had more to it? Like resource gathering, some population management, with trading between towns and etc. And have it pretty much endless. I would LIIIVE in that game.
you did first stage, after liberation you have patrol , i didn't see that ! But.. fence is not the best one for sure. Do you know how you can liberate prion, ore town + patrol solo ?
- you make storage next to town, you put 100 arrows in storage. you start your conquer , jump on storage, stay in middle and shoot from arrows soldiers. i did that solo to all map :D

Hello. As far as I know the woodsman are only in Padstow and how can I join them if the village is not free yet. i need research bow tier 2 and he needs woodsman. Is there any other way?

technology tree must be a little bit clear. if u read blacksmith description its mind u can craft arrows, but not tier 3...
houses are best to build in villages because they add more villagers you can recruit and there should be more people defending it. I don't know if other buildings have real uses except adding more trust.
yes but I dont build them until I has liberated that's all, easier to build them then IMO

@@axxey Yeah, 2 for each house and pretty good stats from what I can see. Even if you don't recruit them yourself they will help defend the place against brigand reclamation parties. I've got 4 at Herendean and will prob end up with 6 or so.
Yea this is all well and good until they code-in npcs able to vault! Haha or just destructible fortifications. Good work
I am hoping they fix the fence and allow them to break it down, still would be a good tactic as it gives the archers more time
I mean yea this is one way to do it, if it looks stupid but it works, it's not stupid! You're allowed to do it, no rules against it.
But it doesn't feel as satisfying when cheesing I think.
In my head it defeats the purpose of having a controllable army. 2 or 3 units with different setups to attack from different sides, charging and pulling back when needed etc.
Or I might just have a stick up my arse xD
Agree, I actually did the mission again and this time the hard way just to see the difference, It was more fun for sure. Next town Farnworth I will liberate with only troops

I liberated Haerndean. Fought the fight! Built the tower next and fought again. I’m now deep in tier 2 and my bell tower has disappeared?!? Confused at that.
Nice work on this strategy! That is a tough fight!
They semi regular send reclaimation forces that try to destroy your belltower(might have overlooked one when dealing with another raid or something?). You can also just let reclaimation forces take back towns after you recruit apprentices if don't feel like defending them or they're too far.
@@axxey Thanks, I think I will. I rebuilt and reliberated Haerdean, but the second wave reclamation raid just hit with a level 7 party right before nightfall and caught my troops without readiness. Half were unarmed. Weapons missing. Several fled. It was a s**tshow. They chased on poor lass into the hills; somehow she lived, but we lost that raid. I don’t think we can hold a liberated town and make any forward progress. Or so it seems this morning after the losing battle. Raid prep mechanics take far too long as it stands imo.
