The changing a smoker to a new settlement is a game changer. Thanks for that one. A good tip for priorities of workers if you have an archer and want them to keep their bow on hand just set any job that uses a hoe or two handed axe to 0 I also figured out the farm. I set each crop item to 0 but the farm to high priority. This way I plant what I want but they maintain it. They weed and water and harvest but do not plant anything. They even hoe and fertilize it to prepare for me to plant. That way I don’t end up with full stockpiles of crap I don’t want and none of what I need.
Moving personal storage to a new outpost designation is a great idea. I had 2 set to "0" but can attest to that setting NOT meaning "never". I found my cook across the map taking 1 spolied food to a "0" storage chest i dropped next to a travel sign because the one place i allowed spolied food next to my compost had filled up. Also fantastic idea to user beggars as delivery only. Like another user posted, i use "2" as the highest everyday priority, so that i can bump up to 1 quickly when needed instead of having to adjust several things
I'm not a content creator... But this is a huge tip: Give ALL of your workers Seed Pouches and Watering Pots OVER Bags. They don't discriminate what can go in them and 25 slots vs 9 slots.
thank you! At first this game was very overwhelming and frustrating for me , but now that im on my 4th start over im loving it soo much and have been looking for a video like this to understand it better. Once you understand how to play lol its an amazing game
I made two foraging camps, one for winter and one for not-winter. I set the goods in each for the season and just switch them on and off instead of redefining the harvest priorities.
Wish i knew this when i started, would have saved me a lot of wasted days. Only just realised this a few days ago, and its so much better now, im actually getting overloaded with materials now. This will def help new players to the game. Nice job.
I noticed that I was seeing the flax harvested message a lot but thought little of it since you need tons of it early game. Then I checked my gathering and farm and saw I did not have flax assigned at either location. I checked my storage and had 1400 flax.
That is extremely odd! It's not unusual for flax or hemp production to get way too high once farming starts cause ppl don't realize how much they'll get. But if you don't have it set up anywhere and they keep gathering it, I would report that as a bug.
im sorry to pester. but is there a wiki telling everyone what sort of jobs specific camps are? like the thresher, logging camp, mixing table and saw pit exc? because im getting so confused with the sub camp parts like those not being done and just left. i have searched google to see if the thresher is a farming job or a crafting job but yeah i couldnt find anything. just wanted to know if there was a wiki telling people what things are what sort of job
7:36 On screen it looks like you're scheduling Fish Stew to be delivered from your private stash to your settlement since you were in Your Settlement Deliveries menu and not in Kristi's Private Stuff Deliveries when scheduling.
-You want your workers to stop producing smoked mushroom and thats my most important meal as its the one i use in the first slot :D -Also, if you set outpost for some buildings they get their own raid bar. You dont get raids for those outposts? -In the other hand, what if you going to get raided, but before that you set your buildings as outpost. Would that prevent from getting your storages raided?
- lol - The raid on outpost will match the level of the outpost, not your main settlement - I think they'd still hit it cause it's there but I honestly don't know. But that's a GREAT question and I will find out! Thx for watching
be carefull about storage filters, if lets say wood is not in storage but only in the woodcutter hut, its seen as 0 stock and will not be used and may cause problems
Yep! You can rename everything. Love it! Open build menu, on top right click Rename and when you walk to something you'll see an F pop up to rename. Just make sure that you hit Esc twice when you're done to get totally out of that option or you could accidentally disassemble!
@@GamingwithKristi A helpful tip I've found for renaming buildings, is I always start it with the first default word--i.e. instead of "Farm#1' I might use "Farm herb garden" and so on. That way when you have so many buildings, you may forget what the heck the building actually was in the build tab (for me I was getting mining hut and camp mixed up) and doing this keeps it easier to remember and track :P
Ahh I was trying to find this thing even in bellwright dc then I find the link u shared there , it actually helped a lot 😅 Can I ask a dbt too , if we want our worker to gather items frm the wild like mushroom and all is the harvesting we need to prioritise?
My workers will only help build 1%, then put the carpenter tool away in a storage box. I can't figure out how to keep them building. I put the building on 1. I put their construction on 1 and everything else on 0. Super annoying using the carpenters tool 200 times for each building alone...
I set my priorities starting from 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc, so if I need someone to jump in on something immediately I have the option to change one of them to 1 without having to swap a bunch of stuff around. Then can just set it back to what it was before
@@GamingwithKristi Of course! I started a new game and did all my priorities like that from the get go so it was easier :) Thanks for all the great content, keep up the good work!
I'm unable to make my cooks work at the couldron. I have 9 pots for each meal on priotity 1. My cooks have stats of 6, 6 and 7. I can cook it on my own so the pots aren't bugged. My food cellar is right next to the cooking stations and a barn too filled with all ingredients. I don't know what's wrong.
@@GamingwithKristi I think it is a bug. I have the same problem. 1ste all was good, had 200+ smoked mushrooms, stews and stuff and now they don't want to cook anymore. Please help if it is not a bug.
Your brain apparently prioritizes the words over visuals? Mine works the opposite way, very much so. As a result, when the examples on the screen and the commentary in the background don't match I keep getting distracted and confused. If I want to actually understand what you're _saying_ I have to minimize the video and listen to it like an audio podcast. You prolly don't have that issue so you can't see why should you bother making them match? As far as I know it's about 50/50 between people like you and people like me. Althou, I'm prolly an extreme case, other people may be able to ignore the images on the screen more easily. Anyway, I for one can't really understand what's the point of the video if it doesn't match what you're currently speaking about? If it's meant simply as a background image why not make it views of the landscape or something? Not views of someone fiercely clicking around on the interface randomly? If you want more viewers/subscribers, that might be a useful hint how. I don't know if you do, just an idea. Other than that, the content itself is perfect, a very informative video! Cheers!
The fish stew thing is such a "woman" thing to do. Never in my life would I have thought of doing that. I felt honour eating berries while my people ate well
Not quite sure how to take that... If I was better at combat maybe I wouldn't need the better food as much. Doesn't mean they don't get good food as well though. Just depends on your play style.
NOTE: Deliveries need to be done to a stockpile or barn, not a chest.

There is a Bellwright Wiki. Idk how active it is. At the Thresher the straw takes Farming 3 and Grains take Crafting 1.

You may be right. I grabbed clips and put them together so it's possible I grabbed one where I did it backwards first!
This helped me a lot thank you.
Glad to hear it!
Okay now I need the household version 😂
right what I needed, thanks!
Frankly I was impressed with their diligence

I think it will keep your stockpiles from getting raided... From bandits AND your workers.
How can your villagers change bait in a traps or change a trap then it will broke?
You need to build the Trapper's Camp.
wait how did you edit the name of that chest? I'm quite new. Am I able to change names of other things?
Yep! Hit B for build and on the top right there is a button that says "Rename", aim at what you want to rename, press F
Great info ty
be carefull about storage filters, if lets say wood is not in storage but only in the woodcutter hut, its seen as 0 stock and will not be used and may cause problems
That's a really good reason to make sure that your delivery priorities are high enough!
Great video! Thank you.
This may be a stupid question but how did you change the name of your chest.
Press B and in the top right corner there is a button that says "Rename"
Wait you can rename stuff?! Is it just storage or all buildings? 50hrs in and I’ve been looking for that feature
Open up the build menu and at the top right click Rename. Then walk over to what you want to rename and hit F.

Yes, gathering things is Harvesting. Also check your settings on the forager camp.
I mean who doesn't want 200 smoked mushrooms
when is the training priority used
You have to get to the point that you can build Training Grounds
Yea done that, village training grounds all research done. Still couldn't figure it out

Check that they have the supplies needed for the build. Maybe they now need planks or thatch.
how do i get workers to just harvest farms ?
You could prioritize someone with priority 1 to farming and nothing else. Maybe 2 for deliveries so that is all they are assigned to do.
sounds like the system in the game stranded alien dawn!!!!!
@1:22 Vinny who?
This random villager I heard of. Lololol!

Do you have the cook's priority set to cooking? I think mine was acting weird yesterday too. I need to check and see if cooking has gotten bugged.
@@GamingwithKristi I think it is a bug. I have the same problem. 1ste all was good, had 200+ smoked mushrooms, stews and stuff and now they don't want to cook anymore. Please help if it is not a bug.
ive always thought 9 was highest priority lmao no wonder
Lol so i was doing it wrong 😂😂 i but it 9 cuz i thought it high number and they will do it first 😂
You're not the only one who did that. =)
Bro I literally blocked workers from doing any other job then research cuz no one was doing it bc I set it at 9
