my dad always said it's only a dodgy repair if it doesn't work. If it does work, he called it genius. I think that applies here Matt. No one could accuse your family of not giving it a go anyway.
Very interesting stuff watching how you do all the dozer change over. Good tip on the soldering as well and a great repair on the bushes. Top video Matt.
To succeed in farming you need people on farm with many skills for things to progress on a daily basis without having to wait for outside help all the time. You are all doing a great job. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
There’s a word I learnt back in the 80s extemporise means to improvise we had to make our own distributor for a mark 3 international as a part of an exercise, it really opened our eyes up to what can be done with what you have at hand , you people do that day in day out , love watching your vlog it is fantastic thank you
Hi Matt I like your work, had to smile to myself the other day when your old man said” he used to be king pin, now he’s on the bottom of the ladder and the dogs piddle on his leg”. Nice country out there we used to be up around Kingaroy area. Peanuts, pigs, cattle and a bit of lucern.
Some days I loved being a diesel mechanic other days i hated it...but no matter what I always loved working on the big gear...great instalment as always matt
Well done Matt and family! The thing I really respect about you guys is your fearless ability to do work on machines you have little experience of, as if you are pros with 20 years experience. Well done 💕
Big hydraulic press. Have you any spare cylinders of the big cats. Ripper, blade, tilt cylinders. Build a frame to support them. Fittings to hook to your power pack and you are ready to press. Or call cutting edge engineering to see if they have any big rod and a partial barrel with good finish still. Weld a square end plate on. And make up a Gland and piston. Again using your power pack.
Sure hope you guys get a chance to run all three dozers side by side that would be totally awesome especially the way you fly that drone have a good day thank you for the video 🚜😎
Really enjoy these segemnts. I was in the Bellata area in the 70s when the big tractors were two Fiats joined nose to tail. I recognise the ranges in the east so assume you are somewhere west of the highway. Love that country.
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼……………..kinda sad. I started watching y’all’s channel because of the D11’s, sad to see one go. I stayed because you make interesting and informative videos. Can’t wait to see what’s going to be happening next!!
watching some of your older videos and am wondering what is "pickle chaining"? I found "Kelly chains" on the internet but cannot find pickle chain. Don't think we have them on Kansas farms!
Hi Mat there is never a dull moment on the farm must be a jack of all trades the amount of hours you blokes put in is Amaizing nice to Family working in harmony love the D 11 love to own me to annoy my neighbours be fun any way I have real good people next to me stay safe keep Farming. Cheers👍👍👍💪💪💪😀❤️😎🐝🐝🦘🦘🦘🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
The sooner they make all that GPS stuff wireless, the better I reckon ! and who would have thought you could get a bloke under the floor, I never operated anything bigger than a D8 so that was a supprise . to me .
Hi guys, brilliant content again. Must be a pain in a bum holding the camera and also trying to work on tiny two and tiny three and a lot of hard graft and that GPS system. What a nightmare pulling wires out and swapping them over?
its a bit strange that cat can design a hydraulic component to operate the blade and rippers but they cant design a hydraulic track tensioner , love your work Matt
I can't believe you can haul a D11 on a truck with out disassembly. I know the ROPS is off for height but still that my quick search said it weighs 205,000 lbs.
mechanic most of my life but never heavy equipment... so for a cool million +, you get 2 engines, 250,000lbs of monster machine... sounds like a locomotive when it starts pulling
Will Tiny 3 be renamed into Tiny 2 or stay Tiny 3, together with Tiny 1? With all this big machinery you're living my dream. I know it's a lot of work and not just playing in the dirt all day, but I bet a D11 doesn't get boring. Also, for some reason you didn't seem too concerned about someone just walking in and walking off with the ripper shanks you had stuck in the ground like that 😂
Super channel. D11’s working on the farm. Not many people get to see this action close up.
Every time I get a sense of scale for how big those things are, it makes that video about carving a road into that hill that much more startling.
my dad always said it's only a dodgy repair if it doesn't work. If it does work, he called it genius. I think that applies here Matt. No one could accuse your family of not giving it a go anyway.
Your dad knows what's up! I also subscribe to "it's not fixed until you have parts left over"...

Greetings from Tennessee, USA. Your skill at improvising is commendable. Enjoy your videos.
Living in East Peoria,il real nice watching the uses and hard work.
Pretty cool to see and old D11 on a farm. They are expensive machines to run.

Top video seeing machines that are not normally seen on farms keep it up 👍🇦🇺👍
Just so big, nice work.
It’s a “farm fix fabricobble “. Sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. As long as it works 🤓

great video love it
Great video Matt it was a shame all 3 machines weren't all running at the same time, it would have been a great drone shot.
Cheers Tiny2!!
Great vídeo
4:22 Your tacho is reading 600rpm on a dead engine. I think you need a new tacho. 😂
I can see how frustrating it must be to have to use tweezers and a magnifying glass to do the fiddly bits on a D11.
Tweezers eight feet long and a magnifier borrowed from a lighthouse maybe 😄
watching some of your older videos and am wondering what is "pickle chaining"? I found "Kelly chains" on the internet but cannot find pickle chain. Don't think we have them on Kansas farms!
Hi mike, prickle chains are similar to Kelly chains but have spikes instead of disks👍

would it be helpful to raise the height of the idler 4-6 inches or so to be able to keep the mud from packing in?
The sooner they make all that GPS stuff wireless, the better I reckon ! and who would have thought you could get a bloke under the floor, I never operated anything bigger than a D8 so that was a supprise . to me .
Could replace the top idler with a block of hardwood .
Cutting Edge Eng use Liquid Nitrogen on there Cat Bearings..how many hours has Tiny 2 done?..Cj UK
Hi mate, tiny 2 has done about 50000hrs
Cripes!! Is there anything you won't fix?? 👍😎
just like a brought one 🙂
I'm a bit confused...what was the end goal with all the swapping around?
They unfortunately sold tiny 2.
Hi guys, brilliant content again. Must be a pain in a bum holding the camera and also trying to work on tiny two and tiny three and a lot of hard graft and that GPS system. What a nightmare pulling wires out and swapping them over?
Hi Steve, yep it can get difficult with the camera but I just take the shots when I can👍
Thanks for the video Matt. GPS question it only runs the blade dose it or does it also help with the steering. Great fix with the brushes.👍
Thanks, the gps is only to let you know the height of the blade compared to a set point or to follow a gradient👍
@@thejacksonbrothers Thanks Matt I thought thats all the GPS would do just the blade. Thanks for the answer.
So are you getting rid of one of the bulldozers
ROPS is an acronym for rollover protection system...
You guys ever work with Cutting Edge Engineering?
Hi Thomas, no we haven’t yet
its a bit strange that cat can design a hydraulic component to operate the blade and rippers but they cant design a hydraulic track tensioner , love your work Matt
It could be hard to build one that could stand up to the punishment a d11 would put it through while maintaining reliability.
It is hydraulic just uses grease instead of oil. Tried and tested for years, bit messy when removing the tension but hoe often does that happen?
What was the transporter for in the middle of the video? The split 4 axle.
Editing error .
Hi Stewart, that was to pick up the roller that we used to pack down the shed base👍
Bitter sweet!! Goodbye Tiny 2!! Great video!!
@@thejacksonbrothers The big roller that pretended to not be there haha
I can't believe you can haul a D11 on a truck with out disassembly. I know the ROPS is off for height but still that my quick search said it weighs 205,000 lbs.
Are you anywhere near Cutting Edge Engineering?
The “balls” are trunnions
Hi Matt. Hope you are well, quick question. How many hours each on all 3 machines?
Keep up the good work 👍
Hi Brett, tiny 1 has about 35000hrs, tiny 2 has a bit over 50000hrs and I can’t remember what tiny 3 has but I think is wasn’t too high👍
☹☹- bye T2
How old are they ?
Süper 💯💯💯💯💯..
mechanic most of my life but never heavy equipment... so for a cool million +, you get 2 engines, 250,000lbs of monster machine... sounds like a locomotive when it starts pulling
Matt's dodgy repairs? It's only dodgy if it doesn't work... When it works, it's 'adapting' to meet the needs...

Hi mate, tiny 3 will stay tiny 3 as there could be a possibility of it coming back one day👍😁
