I make the same ribbon, but tuck it between the two parts ofthe strap between the ratchet and the hook. Tighten your strap just a couple of cranks, then tuck it in and finish ratcheting. I have done this for thousands of loads and never had one come loose.

That is the tractor that I learned to operate 63 years ago. We also used it to pull logs for pulpwood and that is about the time I learned to keep your thumbs out of the steering wheel. We used the Covington planters for the garden and corn. All that brings a lot of flashback! Have fun and stay safe!

I have that same seeder. It has a few different seed disc's with it. I use mine with the row marker down, even though all it does is mark the next row but I try to use it to stay in a straight line. It doesn't always work out like that though. 😂😂😂😂

A good video today with the farming and saw milling. You may want to think about planting some fruit trees. Also I watch Mike Morgan with Outdoor with the Morgans. He went an bought a wood chipper and is using it to mulch some slabs. Everybody cans us a little mulch.

I owned one of those seeders for several years. When doing green beans I seeded on each side of string. If available try Top Crop a great producer. I planted early April and was able to get a second crop in once 1st crop was done. Usually late Sept. early Oct. for 2nd crop. I'm from Indiana and like my Dad said if you get a crop in early and successful good for you. If not successful you still have plenty of time to get a crop in. Up here frost is the big thing. As always enjoyed the video.

Enjoy the videos but just a suggestion...all you need to do is add a drop over row marker from the planter. It would save all the stringing and hammering in spikes. I farm large and believe me we dont use strings and stakes...

My father was a huge gardener. Planted enough for the whole community. He had 2 planters like that. I was probably 40 years old and was helping him plant. I cussed the planter and said it was a piece of junk. He told me to leave and I wasn’t welcome in his garden. An example of pride in ownership.

Wished we had good soil here in north central Washington state for gardening as it rock and gravely. And on the east side of the cascades. There is no way I could live in the south. Everything has to be irrigated here. 10000s of acres of apples but irrigated. Oregon is implementing a law for no gardening or small family farms. As water pollution and to save water. California, Oregon and Washington are another country now along with Colorado which rain water can not be saved. Glad I am relocating to the Philippines. Girlfriend's family has a small farm 2 hours out of the city and will go out there to help. She works in the city and we spend weekends there. The US has moved the military into the Philippines as Obiden is war monger.
