@@ronnythompson9115 yes, I see people buy damaged frames all the time and use brackets, halves or just a rail end. They might not be following repair procedures but there is a market for damaged frames especially on a two year old truck.
@@julioosorio7320 most frame jobs are right around 30 hours, the least I have ever seen is 24 and the most is 43. Mechanical labor rates vary but even at $150/hr that is 46.7 hours. They didn’t want to do your frame, so they priced it accordingly. Most shops don’t like involved jobs like this so they avoid them. I have swapped hundreds of frames, I’m pretty efficient and would be happy to get paid book time on any frame as long as it isn’t rusty, that adds a lot of time.
i honestly didn't expect you to do the full chassis swap in one video ... that's great work ... if it was a pair of certain brothers .... probably would have been 4 or 5 videos to disassemble and another 4 or 5 to reassemble ... anyhew ... really enjoy your work ... glad you decided to restart your rebuilds !!! much love from the caribbean!
Good to know I'm not on my own in stopping watching those guys, their videos were ads for their sauce them screwing around a small bit of work on the car and then ads for what ever stupid give away (which you had to buy a $hit load of merch to enter) they were doing!
A lot of work in swapping the frame, but definitely the best decision. That old frame might be usable for a front end collision where the back is still good and they could be cut at the factory point, making one good frame from two bad frames.
Your going to be even better at chassis swaping since this is the second time. Your getting to be an even better expert f250 swopping. I really like seeing you do good.
As you’re probably aware. The new frame will not come with the VIN number obviously. I would at least stamp the VIN number into your new frame. It’s there just in case the vehicle were to be stolen or in a fire. So the truck can be identified. Just my thoughts, Ron.
Ford sold the frame to them they're aware of it being a totalled truck so there is definitely records between them & insurance company who 'totaled' it out too! I'm pretty sure you need a vin # to go buy a new frame though I may be wrong!
The build is coming along great. The new frame was the way to go excellent choice. I love this build can't wait for the next video. I am enjoying this build. Great channel and content.
I’ve been watching your videos since 2019 and man let me tell you, your videos inspire me everyday, that no matter how big a job is there is always a awesome return in the end. Love the content keep up the amazing work V ✌️
Man I'd love to find a perfect project like this to take on some day! Minor damage, new frame and some paint etc and you got a much cheaper, brand new truck! You guys do magic and its gotta be very rewarding much like my residential construction line of work. Saying "I did that" when its all done & back together perfectly is an amazing feeling! Keep it up! Wish I could afford one of these projects to fix up right now, but I'm sure even though this is a 'totalled' $85k truck, it was still way out of my price range, probably $35k or more I'm assuming? Adding $10k in parts and your labor and you still are just over half the price of some of these brand new $100k super duties! Great deal if you ask me! I'd buy it no problem, although it needs some weight reduction and a little lift\level and some 37's, tremor valance, etc!👌🏻👍🏻🛠️⛓️🗜️🔧🔩 ✊🏻🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲✊🏻

Ben congrats on your new baby! Awesome footage of the frame swap! Well done! I am looking forward to the next video of putting the cab back on the new frame! I hope to see you collaborate with Goonzquad on the GTR! That would be awesome footage!
Two things vTuned, congrats on becoming a dad, hope child and mom are doing well. 2nd), it looks like you already have this beast of a truck sold by the way those guys were eyeing that thing. You definitely need to put in another lift, or expand your shop, that place is getting crowded.
Good job on the truck! Watched you for a long time now. Always impressed at what you do. I took my truck to the stealership just to get the brakes fixed. Took them 5 times to fic it and it still isn't right.
😄Ha you make it look so easy , there really is a lot of work having jake on the team makes things go quicker, I hope y’all can make a good profit off this truck , have fun guys 👍🏼
Nice job done with frame swapping ! We also want to see update on your classic Ford Mustang. It's sad to see that Mustang rooting away in front of your shop
Lol great going been I knew u wouldn't be gone long and the best possible truck you could have picked the best on the road too I may add keep up the good work and may I say also lil bro glad you swooped in for Billy over at the goonsquad headquarters and schooled old bug eyed simon Billy's got all the work talent over there maybe someday that poor young and very immature simon will snap out of it and grow up anyhoo take care keep up the great work your very talented young hands can produce and a very welcome back I hope your break was the refresher you needed hope your baby and wife are doing great too!!!!!
14:01 thinking back to the tacoma frame recall, I bet the guys at the dealership could do the complete swap in 8 hrs they did so many. A mechanic buddy of mine bought one dirt cheap "frame rotted" and he ran the vin, sure enough under warranty, BY A MONTH so he bought it for $9K took it right to the dealer, new frame, sold it a week later for $22K. I said to him "you didn't feel guilty about not telling the seller he could get the frame swapped free"? he smiled and said "nope, not one BIT".
Great Job on another successful frame swap Ben Any idea when you are getting back on your wide body mustang build again love to see more epic content on that build
Enjoy your videos keep up the great work! If those fuel lines are such a problem just out of curiosity shouldn't you maybe replace them with metal lines or some kind of replacement that would not be a problem?
These big jobs are time consuming and lots of chances to make a mistake if you rush, but take your time, do it right and once. I've done a bunch of them and it ties up two bays for two days with a helper. But it's super rewarding once done. Nice work.
you come here preaching to someone who has done this many times and knows his shit yet you've enver done it, have zero credibility, and still think you'rre the expert.... get over yourself
I love frame swaps, they are my favorite money maker. Paid for 30 hours, done in 10 or less!
@Vehore - Would you think the front half of the frame has resale value?
@vehcor - 30 hrs at what rate? I got quoted 7k for just labor to replace one in a 2021 f350

Can't ever beat efficiency time is money in and out no drama on to the next project, love the process and the efficiency 👍👍👍
Dang Son , that forklift paid for itself on that one job , well done Gents !!!
I like your helper, who definitely provided some eye candy. It's too bad he wasn't freeballing.

As long as it's checked for squareness first. I'm sure they'll save it for the next one, or sell it to some other shop that has a front end smash!

One more time . Don't forget to finish paint the new frame. You forgot the last frame replacement you did. They only come inprimer
if he didn't paint it before doing the swap theres no way he's painting it after. doesn't look like it needs paint, it looks like the other one
If this was done at a body shop it would cost the owner a fortune. You and Jake did this incredibly fast.
What happens with the vin numbers
