    Your video is informative but I want to know the exact distance/clearance between those screw holes of the pressure plate cover and flywheel before inserting and tightening those nuts at the later part of this video

    My Honda has 10.5 mm spline/12pt matbe socket? Why and where can I get one. Been searching all day

      Tom harbor freight brah. Don’t need those expensive fancy tools unless you a high end mechanic. They both do the same and trust me when I say 98% of the tools out on the market are all from China.

    How was it putting the transmission on the engine back together? I'm having a hard time

    i put a new pilot bearing and it feels a little clickey when i spin it?

      Clicking or grinding? Is it flat?

      @@DirtydogMech thanks for replying. its more like internal clicking. like you can feel the clicking vibrate when you spin it in your hands. and yes its flush on the flywheel

      How does the old one feel? Worst comes to worse if you feel un comfortable with it get another one. I have felt some new bearing click (not in specific pilot bearing ) but that was the bearings just moving around. Not like a hard/skipping click but like a gliding click like a quieter bicycle bearing click. But use your best judgement

    Why do the fingers on the pressure plate look flat?

      @@DirtydogMech Thanks, I bolted everything back together and some locations are tight and take ages to unbolt. I made sure the clutch plate faced the side as directed in the instructions inside the clutch assembly kit. And also everything else like torque settings etc. After resting for a bit I. I spent the evening googling and found various opinions. I was faced with a dilemma and then I found you. Why am I running around like this? I mean seriously is that how crap I rate my work 🤣😂🤣

    do you have to remove the engine to install the flywheel and whats the diference in a standar vehicle same brand but standard?

      I did my research before tackling this job. There were 2 options. Either drop the whole sub frame with the transmission while supporting the engine and keeping that in the car or pull the engine and trans together, which is what i did
      I did not choose option 1 because I don't have a lift to raise the car high enough to clear the sub frame and transmission or the tool to support the engine still in the car
      the engine and transmission were not to difficult to remove. Just remove all hoses and disconnect ECM and connectors, use the engine hoist or cherry picker to wiggle it out

      Maria Ayala Removing the engine just for clutch replacement/transmission repair is asking for more work than you have to. The only reason you need to remove the engine from the bay is if you need the bottom block internals done. Otherwise, it’s best to keep it in the bay and have it supported by some jacks or hoist. If the engine is already out or you swapping the engine then by all means get all the things you need done out of the way. Makes it much easier. And there’s not much of a difference in standard cars. Just the process of removal the transmission.
