Once AGAIN!!! Another badass video. Thank you for your time and effort in sharing this amazing knowledge about the REAL music scene in San Diego. Also, MANIC HISPANIC RULZ!!!!!
Looking forward to the future videos, I promoted some of the earliest shows at the original Soma in the basement, I think Len paid me $5.00 per band I booked lol
Thanks for the video. What punk bands got their start in the 90s, early 2000s in SD area? Face to face ? Blink? Were more bands from the OC vs SD? Saw blink first in 94. And unwritten law in the late 90s. You guys are blessed with talent 🤙
Blink for sure. Unwritten Law. Face To Face were from Victorville. Rocket From The Crypt was another one. The Dragons. Quite a few actually. OC had more bands that became really popular - besides Blink 182 of course. OC had alot of straight out punk bands. San Diego had punk bands but also alot of other types of music, so I'd have to go with OC as far as punk bands go. Thanks for checking the video out!
Well done. Thanks for shining a spot light on the San Diego music scene. San Diego has it's own touch.
Thank you for watching, I enjoy doing these videos. I'm learning about some of the shows I missed back in the day.
this is awesome, subbed.

Thanks for checking out the video, and yes, more to come. Lot of punk rock history in this town. Funny about Len paying 5 bucks per band.
This is so sick !!
Thanks for checking the video out. Sorry for the late reply.
Dude this is friggin' epic man! I live in San Diego and didn't know about any of this stuff! Thank you 🤘
Thank you for watching! More coming soon on some other punk venues from the past!

Damn a lot of these old places these bands use to play at are all gone
Unfortunately
California Theater, Iguanas (TJ)...you missed a couple
Oh I'm not done, just doing a few at a time. Thanks for checking it out!
Iguanas is an important👍
How did he miss California Theater and Iguana's if he was only covering San Diego venues?
@@murderxburgerz That's where they steal your gear or don't pay you. That place robbed bands all the time.
Imagine choosing to do your opening monolog next to an active construction site 😅😅😅
Yeah, no kidding. It was actually a leaf blower. Got everything all set up and then he fires the thing up.
