Gold dredging june 1st opener lower Yakima river, Washington.

First of Washington States dredging openers in the Yakima river. So we set out packed up and tryed are luck. The river was still high and fast with alot of silt filling the water. Not the best time to be out in the river dredging. But it did not stop me, I could not wait for some other time.

When I was growing up, my best friend was Ti, we would camp all summer, fishing, looking for mushrooms and the filler veg for florist. His mom would show up while we were out and cook trout or perch/crappies that same way YUM is right!. Finally got my first sluice (keene) Hope to get out and do some prospecting.

TI= Thai before my first cup of coffee :-) We would catch baskets of fish, then when we were back at home we would dry them on ten door screens in the back yard. Part of them would get ground up to make a sauce and spice. My mouth is watering just writing about it. The rest went to the Buddhist Temple for the students.
