@andrewmccarty Exactly!! There are libraries everywhere and I'm sure they have his videos! If you have kids, get them a library card and check out and let them watch as much of his video series as they have available. We don't have to settle for what TV provides, you can take charge and give your children the to programming that you know will make them the best little people and later on, the best adults they can be!! Don't just follow the crowd, take a stand and show your kids why it matters to be different and try to be better individuals to all we encounter in our daily lives.

He was such a light in this world. I look up Fred when I’m dragged down by all the fear-mongering and need to remind myself that truly safe people do exist!
This is truly a great conversation about things that are relevant today. Mr. Rogers made a difference in many people's lives without politics, religion, gender, or sexuality being discussed. Arsenio became Iconic. Thanks for sharing.
It’s been known that interviewing Mr Rogers was very difficult. Not because of scheduling, or time. It was because he cared more about the person interviewing him than he did about being interviewed, and he would often use the time to befriend the person. I can honestly say what an honor that would have been to have been his friend and genuinely cared for others all the time. That we wish we could be all the time.
Arsenio was one of my favorite younger late night show hosts that helped fill the void after Carson retired. For me Arsenio is right up there with Conan and Craig Ferguson. Also not sure if Amazon prime still has it but they did have Mr. Rogers's neighborhood to watch via streaming.
After seeing the movie I was curious about the interview. It was wonderful and so true. I can't stop crying, I keep thinking about all the people in my life who help shape me and crying for a world that no longer have these people. THANK YOU MR. ROGERS!!!!
not to sound arrogant, as i'm sure that he wouldn't care for that, but i feel...blessed(?) to be able to say that i was able to have a conversation with this man for ten solid minutes of his day, just an everyday-kind of day in pittsburgh, and then he allowed me to give him a hug... mind you, I'm 6'8" and 450 lbs.... he didn't bat an eye and embraced me...i began to cry like back when i was watching his show, and he whispered into my ear "it's ok...it's ok...." not only shall we never again see a man like Fred Rogers, we don't DESERVE to until we ALL start acting a bit more neighborly...THAT's what he would have wanted!!!
I just watched the movie on mr. Rogers and Tom Hanks did a marvelous job bringing his character back to life. The moment of silence scene in the restaurant was so profoundly touching, I felt like he was talking to me personally. Made me shed a tear I didn’t know I had at the time.
Beloved by so many people from so many walks of life. He made a difference by caring about how he sent his message, and how he interacted with his audience and those by whom he was interviewed. The high water mark Fred Rogers set for quality entertainment is too often almost deliberately over looked. Arsenio made the effort to speak to a human and ponder self education. To learn to help others by helping others as though they were your friend, or loved one.
You could hear a pin drop in that studio. Just goes to show what an amazing man Fred Rogers was. When he spoke, people listened.

I always liked Mr. Rogers and after seeing a beautiful day in the Neighborhood let’s me respect him even more. The world needs more people like him. And Arsenio has always been a class act ahead!
He looked so happy to have his new cool jacket like, "Cool! It's brightly colored like my sweaters!" 💕
crazy thing is hes colorblind lol
It is just so amazing on Arsenio gifted Mister Rogers with that jacket, but also spoke about the current issues that affected everyone then, even today. We have so much going on what with inflation, fighting and bickering between Democrats and Republicans, the riots, a lot of negativity in the press...the list can just go on and on. But Mister Rogers is absolutely right, there is no simple solution. But in times of trouble, like he said, look for the helpers. There's always someone out there willing to help when times are hard.
This interview was something else. A lot of respect for the late Mister Rogers, even from Arsenio. Mister Rogers was definitely part of my childhood, and I was privileged to be his neighbor when watching his show. He is truly missed.
That smile he gives when he puts on the jacket could end wars
Gave him a leather for the culture. What an all class gesture. You could tell how much it meant to Rogers
Amazingly as powerful and relevant then as it is today in 2020 . 30 years later Mr. Rodgers advice is still sage wisdom full of love. Arsenio Hall's statements about what kids are saying are sadly just as likely to be heard today as they were then.
A guy from Pittsburgh and guy from Cleveland on the same stage. As Rocky said in Rocky 4 if I can change and you can change the hole world can change. Won't you be my neighbor.
That movie was awful and that line was super cheesy
Fred Rogers, in his own subtle and unassuming way, was one of the baddest men to have ever walked this Earth!!!
I love Mr. Rogers with all my heart. ♥️
Watched it thanks everyone is presicoius be good to one another 😊2024
Watch the letterman interview with mr. Rogers and then watch this. Much respect to Arsenio Hall for recognizing the work mr. Rogers was trying to do and for treating him with respect
God I miss Mr. Rogers, the man truly cared. ❤
Arsenio Hall and his audience showing respect to a living legend and icon 🙏💜 Mr. Rogers
There would ONLY be 1. There will never be another Fred Rogers.
I use to think this as well until I though. Why lament that there would never be another Mr. Rogers, why not try my best to BE Mr. Rogers..it's tough though, but I keep trying.
@@robocock475 He can kiss my ass
Well here's the thing @@Woad25. Honestly, there's only one of you. Through your actions, you are Mr. Rogers.
I smiled just watching this.
He was such a light in this world. I look up Fred when I’m dragged down by all the fear-mongering and need to remind myself that truly safe people do exist!
Just finished watching A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and had to come watch this clip
Rodgers remains a paragon of decency
Had to see this for myself after watching the movie. What a great man, and wore the jacket proudly. Miss u Mister Rogers
Mr Rogers 🙏🏾💪🏾..... Arsenic Hall, your voice is missed
One of Mr Rogers' sons has to have that jacket and I REALLY HOPE one of them will wear it to the world premier of this movie!
Why do I get the feeling that Mr. Rogers is probably the coolest dude there is
Tom Hanks recreated this scene for the new film.
This is truly a great conversation about things that are relevant today. Mr. Rogers made a difference in many people's lives without politics, religion, gender, or sexuality being discussed. Arsenio became Iconic. Thanks for sharing.
I grew up on Mr. Rogers and am so glad that I did.
Arsenio Hall & Mr Rogers- I LOVE IT. Back when I would actually LOOK FORWARD to turning on my TV
Mr Rogers was such a classy good soul. His parents raised him right
I miss watching Mr. Rogers. I wish my daughter could watch it on TV. They should put the reruns so the children can watch him.
Is it me, or does Mister Rogers seem as at ease in that jacket as he does in one of his sweaters?
That's not the clothing. That's knowing who you are, and, as they say, being comfortable in your own skin.
Confidence doesn't require ego.
We need men like Mr. Rogers today
Cool to see that this appearance is being featured in the upcoming Mr. Rogers movie with Tom Hanks.
God bless you, Fred Rogers, and Arsenio Hall, too.
Man do we need a mister Rogers in this generation so badly
The guy from Special Books by Special Kids is pretty close.
I grew up watching Mr. Rogers....I still get this weird, teary eyed thing going on when I hear that theme song.
These 2 men were a massive part of my 2y in Boston ‘88-‘90. I Love them both, but Mr R I will love forever... we need him now more than ever.
I wish Mr. Rogers were around today in 2020. He reminded us every person was important.
After seeing the movie I was curious about the interview. It was wonderful and so true. I can't stop crying, I keep thinking about all the people in my life who help shape me and crying for a world that no longer have these people. THANK YOU MR. ROGERS!!!!
not to sound arrogant, as i'm sure that he wouldn't care for that, but i feel...blessed(?) to be able to say that i was able to have a conversation with this man for ten solid minutes of his day, just an everyday-kind of day in pittsburgh, and then he allowed me to give him a hug...
mind you, I'm 6'8" and 450 lbs....
he didn't bat an eye and embraced me...i began to cry like back when i was watching his show, and he whispered into my ear "it's ok...it's ok...."
not only shall we never again see a man like Fred Rogers, we don't DESERVE to until we ALL start acting a bit more neighborly...THAT's what he would have wanted!!!
Just watched beautiful day in the neighborhood, wish kids had someone like Mr rogers today they need it.
who came here from the movie trailer
Me!!
Me. Didn't even realize this existed until beautiful day in the neighborhood
@@Bepeze same here!
Right after the movie.
I’ve always respected Arsenio as a person, but even more so seeing the respect and admiration he had for Fred Rogers.
Class acts, both of them.
True power is to speak softly and everyone listening to you.
A Good Man May He R.I.P.
