Love this card too and what an amazing idea to use the Simon PositEverTool for heat embossing, never thought of that! 👍🔥and folding the foam is fab too, so strange i should have thought about that too, as i fold it in the other way (when you keep the same width), but NEVER thought about folding it this way, how dumb of me....😬🙄🤯😱🥴
First, you quoted my all time favorite musician's most famous line from one of his songs, WHAM! Then you hit us with a beautiful and fun hand crafted card. The heat embossed panel is gorgeous, BAM! What else is there to say but THANK YOU MA'AM! Look forward to your next card sesh 👉
Beautiful card Cathy. I love your videos I learn so much from you. Here's a tip - when I do shakers and I don't want my sequins to get stuck I put a little powder on the sides of the foam tape with a small brush or your embossing buddy. :)
“A Little Support Can Be Beautiful” 💕🥰 Words To Live By in Life…Even Card Making…LoL. I Love Watching Your Videos….You Say Out Loud What We All Say! Thanks For Keeping it Real! Your Card is Fabulous! 💕
Hi Cathy, I’ve just watched your valentines shaker card and it’s absolutely fabulous you clever lady. Your videos are always so inspiring your husband will love his card x
Just another helpful tip: so many times the tape on my bar magnet tore off. Then I figured it out. I need it covered in tape, so if I were to chip a piece of the magnet off, it wouldn't go flying and hurt someone. Those suckers are truly very sharp. So now after it's covered in washi good, then I put a piece of fabric ribbon on it. Use a strong glue like E6000 to hold the ribbon on, then just leave a tail piece to grab it with.
A great card Cathy! Definitely going to make one. I just received an order from SSS and it included acetate sheets! HA! Now I know what to do with them!
Only on your videos would I hear "Wham, Bam, Thank you Ma'am" or "screw the pooch". No one else talks to the side or would create a "Oh crap" die cut (which I own) or a "WTF" stamp. And that's why I love your vides SO MUCH!!
Very cute & fun! The “Let’s go grocery shopping” greeting cracked me up, because that’s about how exciting my my hubby & I are! 🤣 When you have to drive an hour to do any significant shopping, it wears us old people out! 😂😂😂❤️
Your hubs will love his valentines card! I hope he got you flowers or something nice. Or maybe made you a card. I think Simon Says should partner with Ghost White Toner to do sentiment strips on black or colored cardstock with white toner. I have white toner. It is a thing. It requires certain printers to make it work. But the ghost whites work on certain HP and Canon printers. There are other manufacturers of white toner that require much more expensive and specialized printers. But it could be a fairly unique product line to use white toner for sentiments or other toner sheets. And it would give the option to foil with a Minc/laminator. If SSS is interested, Ghost White Toner is a German company. It is a small company with great customer support.
Well you learn something new every day! Never knew about this company! I would guess the price on our strips would greatly increase, and that is one product we can keep super affordable. : ) I'm off to check out that site.
@@czdesign People mostly seem to use Ghost White (and other products) to do t-shirt designs, mug designs etc. because laser toner has interesting properties and can be used to make designs like that. It can also be used for printing on paper. You replace the black toner cartridge in a laser printer with white toner.
Hi Cathy, your hair may be everywhere, but it looks fabulous. The card is stunning as usual. Thanks for the inspiration and laughs along the way. Take care
@@czdesign I saw the card on your blog and that you used the heart stencil to dry emboss. Do you have a video on that technique of embossing using a stencil?
I wasn't expecting that background stamp to look like that. I guess I expected it to stamp the hearts rather than the empty space. But I love those pawsitively saturated inks. Just recieved my order of the pink shades and can't wait to use them!
Hey Cathy!! I LOVE your cards and you of course! ;) Hey try folding the foam tape in half from one end to the opposite end instead of folding it vertically. It’s much easier to fold and I feel like it’s more pliable around the corners. It’s how Kristina does it too. You can just cut it in half afterwards if you don’t want it so wide. Unless you like doing it that way more, then you do you girlfriend!
I want to make a shaker card but I don't have any dyes, or machines that cut. I am trying to figure how I can make one without using them. I need to find acetate too. The card you made was awesome.
I love that you used pinks and reds and this ended up just fantastic ❤❤❤. Really loving that background stamp, too. A quick, hopefully useless, aside - you really caught my attention with your comments about hair everywhere. I remember you mentioning to Kristina a couple weeks ago about someone having covid. I had it in August, as did pretty much everyone I worked with. (No one knew then that it was co-occurring with RSV and about 1/4 of the kids in our center were diagnosed with that, but not tested for the other.) Next thing ya know, we're all losing hair. Even the ones who had a very mild case. The first thing I noticed was a lot of hair everywhere. Then my scalp seemed to be more visible, but I thought it was my imagination. Nope. Anyway, I have no idea if this would apply to you, I hope not But if there's a chance it does, there's info about how to combat it. I hope I haven't overstepped. Just concerned.
Sorry, and I get that I'm the odd man out, but that's just too busy to see the different parts. I really think you should have stopped with the heart panel with the XO cut out.
When you did the ink for the hearts.... It was like magic!!
You're too funny! I enjoy watching your videos!💗💗💗
Such a great Valentines card. Your husband will love it. Another wonderful video. Thanks 🙏
I hope so!
It was magical watching you color the embossed background!
SO COOL!! Luv shakers & it’s an awesome card

cute card- love seeing the big cling stamp used in that way and then the ink blending.. and you're convincing me I need the sentiment dies- :)

Do you have a video for the other card that you made with the XO letters and embossed background with stencils? I love this shaker card. So adorable.

Wait, isn't that what I did? Fold it in half? Then I would have had to cut it in half. I wanted it thinner. lol!

If you have a craft knife or an X-Acto knife and a small glass you can easily trace a cut out on a piece of white card stock!
I still love your curls, still looks amazing on you...yep not easy but...gorgious 🤭😉
Don't swiffer cloths have oil in them? Just wondering.
I don't believe so!
Where did you purchase the small T ruler?
Hey Nancy, it's in the desscription box below the video but I'll put it right here for you:

Good to know! Lucky for me I have not had Covid yet. In fact I just had a Covid test a few days ago and everything was good to go!
@@czdesign YAY!!!
Cathy - i am new - did you make the sentiments yourself? If so how?
If you mean the black strips? Yep! I designed them for Simon Says Stamp! They are pre printed. I have them linked in the description box. : )
The blog hop link won't work. Error message
Yeah, I scheduled this video at the wrong time. Lol. It wasn't supposed to be live until 7 a.m. central!
What about the inside decoration?
I left it blank! After so much on the outside, I would just write a greeting on the inside. I tend to keep it pretty personal for my hubs!

Wow, look how long your hair is now. Nice!
Yes! Thank you!
