- This week was one many may not agree with. A guy calls the shop looking to offload a ton of silver. After talking to him about the rising price of silver and letting him know we can not pay no where near spot we try to come to an agreement. He has some nice things you don't see everyday. Never sell your gold and silver to a pawn shop. Sell it to a coin dealer.
They are way more than fair the coin dealers I have sold to pay way less than them under 90% of spot

You don't understand? So who else is ready to immediately buy your metals and with very little questions and who has cash in hand, ready to deal with you?? A PAWN SHOP. What other STRANGERS can you just walk up to and tell them that you have $9k -$10k in silver you want to unload and without you getting robbed by them?? A PAWN SHOP. Everyone has their own reasons for selling their metals and far be it from me to judge anyone who does. The devil likes to judge too, by the way.
@@RealityTrailers A coin shop and a quick 20 second phone call to ask if they're buying and what they're paying.... most would pay spot or a little above depending on what the item is like silver eagles. If you're unloading $10k worth even if its a 1hour drive to get spot that's worth it! Yeah time is money but if youre selling to a pawn shop my guess is you've got nothing but time.
Like MJ Pawn, there are some pawnshops that are fair. And they don’t try to scam people, as you seen in this video they try to get as close as possible to the customers asking price. Save your negativity for a video that deserves it.

That's hell of a lot of silver! Nice haul. It kinda sucks you have to hold for so long before you can offload. Thanks for the video and showing how the business part works. I definitely have more of an understanding for local pawn and LCS. We all need to keep the lights on and our families fed.
I am in North Texas and have two LCS places near me. One pays spot for generic and +$2.50 for Eagles. The other smaller one buys at -$1 under spot and spot for Eagles. Both are paying 21x face for junk.
Folks just have to call around when they are selling (and buying) - Fair prices can be found on both sides.
When selling, just remember that not everyone can pay the same prices. (Some have less disposable cash, some states make them hold it for 30 days, some may already have 5k or more ounces in stock and may not want to buy more unless it is at a huge discount, some do not pay extra for the "collectable" rounds (to most dealers, silver is silver and you will never get your high premiums back on the "collectables"), and of course, some do not have direct access to a smelter so they have to buy at a large enough spread under spot to survive price swings.
(Most smelters will not buy less than 1k ounces at a time and prefer 5k or more ounces at a time. Depending on their inventory, I have seen them pay between -.50 cents under spot to +$.25 cents over spot. - Also, most smelters are not open to the public in general, but if you have 1k ounces or more, most will buy it from you even though you are not a dealer, depending on their inventory at the time.)

You literally robbed this dude. Every time I’ve sold generic silver like this they pay $1 under spot or spot. Absolute thieves and then you structure the transaction.
Dude walked into a pawn shop rather than a gold/silver shop. You're ignorant if you think pawn shops pay the same price for precious metals as actual shops.

@PawnBrokerPickers everyone seems fine now that they're over besides huge power outage, our power services estimate over 30k people have been without power from the storms, socks bad but could always be worse ofcourse!

Good call on the silver! Price has been in an upward channel since March 26. It looks like price is going lower but the lowest in the channel currently is your buying price & the top from there is +-$32. So wait & sell only at around $32+

I just sold Silver for over 32.20 3 days ago in Reno Nevada at Sierra Silver & Gold Buyers 775 329 Gold I sold 16,000 dollars worth. You don't need to ever sell through a pawn shop! Fucking Rip off!

Even though you have to hold it 30 days, if it drops during that time you still haven’t lost money. As I am sure you know, until you sell it you don’t realize a loss or a profit. Keep the great videos coming!
