Tim’s Coin & Stamp Shop review in New Hampshire!!! First Bar!!

- I went to Tim’s coin and stamp shop in NH this past week. I have my count wrong in the video, but after what I bought while in NH. The total comes out to 60oz’s.
I have also bought my first 5oz bar and I am looking forward to building those further in may stacking. After I continue with filling my tubes.
Comment if you like more reviews. What did you think of this one? And what are you stacking?
#yankeestacking #silverstacking #realmoney
I'm just happy to see people stacking. The dollar's time is increasingly short, and I DO NOT want to see people walk into this disaster without stored purchasing power outside of the banking system.
Very much agree with you!
Amen, the better off people are the better off we all are.
US debt is accelerating. To think in 1980 US national debt was only $914 billion. 2008 US national debt was around 10 trillion and only 16 years later we are almost at $35 trillion. 1 trillion every 100 days over 3.5 trillion per year!! Get money out of the banks except what you need to pay bills, get out of debt, and keep stacking!
Glad you got what you needed,.... I met Tim 'bout a month or so ago,.... Tim is a Great guy, very honest,....
Very much so. I was glad I made the trip
Newhampsire is a great little TOWN 😁
Yeah I realized my mistake lol
Well….I’m a Texan…..so NH is about the same size as a typical small town in the Lone Star Republic. 😂
@@marianmoses9604 glad I’m not the only one lol
LoL. I live in it and it sucks.
Tims wasn't the best place either. I will probably never go there again. Worst experience in a coin shop I've ever had.
I love Tim!
I really like his personality and care.
Thank you for sharing your experience it was good to hear, not rambling. Since i watch yankee i wish i could make my 1st coin shop experience at a shop I see on youtube, reduces the intimidation but I’m too far. Hopefully more people will share their experience nearer to me. Keep stacking!
Thank you for the support it is much appreciated!!!! I’ve been enjoying sharing the journey!!
I think its 25 for a tube of britannias if I remember correctly when I filled up a tube. But that was about 2 years ago.
Thank you
Correct 25 to a tube of britianias, kangaroos and Maple leafs
Great listening to the perspective of a relatively new stacker. Good to see your excitement about stacking in these crazy days. Thanks man!
I appreciate the support!
very nice, Keep on stacking
Thank you! Definitely am. Right now I’m stalling a bit, but more is coming
I’d love to stop in Tim’s place
I was glad I was able to, I’m definitely going to be returning as well.
Good review. Tim is great but I concur he'd definitely benefit from some assistance.
I understand that hiring someone to help him would mean, he gets less money for himself. However I think he would benefit the customer going through the shop and maybe making it more attractive to younger buyers walking into the store.
I like Tim. I like going to his shop. I buy PM's there. He's a fair, ethical dealer and a kind man. But, holy gawd, does he need to pick that place up. He's got no room to stand between plenty of cabinet space with nothing in them. Just old trash that hasn't been moved in decades. Papers on the wall are peeled over and everything is just mahem. I will say he knows where everything is, and can find it, but that's just it. He has to find it for you. You cannot browse or look you have to ask about what interests you and then he'll fetch stuff for you to check out decide what you want to buy. Tim doesn't rush anyone. Once you're first in line - and that might take an hour - you get undivided attention and can ask any stupid question, doesn't matter. He'll spend whatever time you need explaining whatever you want to know about PM's. He will interrupt you for phone calls, he doesn't miss a one. If you know what you wanna buy when you go there, or know a few things you might be interested in, you tell him, and he brings it out. If you wanna see something else, he'll get that too. But you kind of need to know at least to the level of wanting rounds or bars or coins, something to go on. He'll make recommendations if you don't. It's a great place but what a total mess it is and it could easily be sooooo much nicer if it were just picked up and organized and the display cases used for product instead of junk storage. I'd go there so much more often if I thought I could get in and out in a lunch hour. No way. Unless you're lucky, that ain't happening. If you've got lots of time and don't mind having no where to sit or be comfortable and you like kibitzing with the other customers, it's a great place to make a purchase or sale. Tim is wonderful, his shop needs work.
I like this comment. Thanks for watching and sharing
I have some 5-oz bars but my #1 favorite is the 10-oz Britannia. I got several for $270, which included the premium!
That’s a nice idea to have in the stack. Definitely thinking about getting more bars with silver being so unstable. Or just waiting for a dip
Exciting news! The inclusion of Rose number [355] beautifully symbolizes our collaborative efforts in this creative garden at CoinEra. Let's continue nurturing this shared space together! 🌹🌷🌼 Thank you for being an integral part of it! 😊💖
Thanks
Building a solid with coin shops will really help if you need to liquidate one day. - We all have to from time to time and I would recommend selling one or two so you don't get overwhelmed when you are in a bind. Love South Africa
Thank you for watching and enjoying and yes I agree that it helps a lot to have a relationship with a LCS
I'm not sure why you had to go get cash at the atm, but from what I discovered early on with my LCS is that you get charged extra for paying in anything else but cash. My LCS doesn't charge extra for checks, but they do hold your purchase for a few days if you pay by check, which isn't ideal. So cash is the best bet.
I’m not a native to New Hampshire so my bank is nowhere around there plus Tim’s card and machines were not working and I didn’t bring my checkbook to work with me so my only other option was to use ATMs up there because as explained in the video, I was originally under the impression that he could take cards as in my bank card.
You should always pay cash for your metals. Cause then it's invisible
@@danielcaissie1207True. I buy quite a bit online. Convenience. I know, it's bad.
I just got home from Tim's shop. Was first in line today. When the shop opened the line was 5 people and the phone was ringing when we walked in.
Yeah. I definitely know how you were feeling. Lucky you were first in the door so you likely only waiting 30-60 mins with all the phone calls lol.
Hey Buddy.
New SuB here. Great video. You will do great.
Good to meet a fellow stacker.
Sounds like you had a great experience with your purchase of Tim. I also went to Tim shop on April 13 on a Saturday my girlfriend and I bought a little bit of gold over there. I also had a pleasant experience when I was there they were six of us as well! Nicely out of all your stack keep up the stacking! 👊🏻
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it as well. I’m looking forward to going going back to get more myself. It’s just a bit out of the way. Thanks for the support. I appreciate it.
Tim is amazing! Hope to meet him one day. Awesome stack 🎉
It was definitely worth the trip and would recommend it for others. As long as they have the time.
Excellent video I like the way you reviewed Tim Shop and I love your approach to stacking slow and steady wins the race my friend. I’m a fellow TH-camr so I know where you’re at with bringing a camera into a shop. I have a local coin shop that I filmedabout 15 seconds in Wednesday afternoon I still felt uncomfortable. Keep on stacking brother.
Thank you for the support. Just building one ounce at a time. I know I’m stacking more than that, but it is a low game. But it is very enjoyable
I live in Ontario and have used my GPS to see how long it would take to get to his shop. Over 8 hours, lol!! Maybe one day. I've been stacking for 14 years and reached my stacking goals back in 2021. Now I stack for the fun of it, because I love stacking. I'd rather get some silver and gold, rather than something I don't really need.
Definitely agree with you on that. It’s a great way of savings which is how I look at it.
The town of NH!!!!😅 Manchester, NH …. Concord, NH…… Nashua, NH……. Glad you could visit. Hopefully you can make it back Bro ❤
lol thanks for another comment on my mistake lol. Definitely will be making it back to Tim’s.
Great choices in your collection! What is your next purchase, we would love to know ! #staystacking
I’ve been doing more video if you are subbed to the page and so far everything has been opened on camera to my entire stack!!! Thank you for watching.
@@AllAboutTheMetal 💪💪💪
Big like number 229! Excellent video and thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
like number 100 and new subscriber for you. I had not come across your channel before. interesting and worth the watch. Thank you for sharing. I miss home and the coin shops.
Thank you! I appreciate the support. I’ve only been doing this for a few months now. I’m just here to share the journey!!!
@AllAboutTheMetal No problem, I can tell but we are a big community. Are you on discord?
I have discord, but I’m currently not on any stacking or silver pages
Found your channel, I subbed, Tim is a wealth of knowledge
Very much agree and thank you for the support.
Great video! I have one question that many people probably wonder about- does Yankee ever show his face and do customers now know what he looks like? If they do, it would be nice to finally see Yankee. I'm pretty sure Tim has to know. It is actually forbidden to go incognito in most or all coin shops due to security reasons-not that Yankee or Silver Dragons would do-lol.
I’m almost positive that people who go to the coin shop often know what he looks like. But just like on this page I don’t really want people to know what I truely look like either.
Keep up the good work.👍
Thank you for watching!!
I just bought from Tim over the phone a couple times now. Good experience I just told him what I wanted and he put the order in
Great person to do business with!!
25 britts in a grey topped royal mint tube.Great vid.Thanks.
Yeah thank you. It will be closed out shortly lol. Thanks for the support.
If you want to find out how many coins in a tube, SD Bullion is a great online reference. In the Descriptions/Details section for each coin you see, it will tell you just how many coins per tube, along with many other relevant details.
That’s a really good point. Thank you!! I should have thought about that. But I’m not at the point where I’m actually buying full on tubes because I’m buying individual coins so I’m usually not looking at their descriptions. But I do know SD Bullion does a great job truly explaining what you’re going to be receiving
Tim and Yankee are true good guys. Glad you had a positive experience. All coin shops are different, some are not friendly places, go figure.
Yeah i can definitely see how they can be that way.
Keep on stackin'.
Thank you!
The silver on the table doesn't have more value than what you bought it at. It's the same value because its money. It may be worth more dollars than what you bought it at, but even then, with inflation, that might not necessarily be the case.
You are right about that!
Big dreams and big goals 👍🏻🍺. Don’t ever get discouraged, it’s always worth it. By the way, you really don’t have to say you’re not a financial advisor. Nobody cares.
Keep Stacking bro 👍🏻🇺🇸🤣😂
Oh I know. I just know there are some people out there that think everything someone says is the facts. forgetting we all have our own opinion.
I don’t think you were negative at all, Tim seems to be a one man band and I’d say he’s a very busy dude, would love to meet him. From Yankees videos, I’ve often thought Tim should write his autobiography. I’m intrigued , or just plain nosey, about what happened with the customer selling, why was it unpleasant, go on, spill the beans. Good luck with your stacking journey, I will tell you, I’ve only been at it a couple of years and it’s bl@@dy addictive. I’m gonna sub dude👍
Long story short. There was a women selling 90 silver. Who was definitely on drugs. At one point I was in line and got a call from work. So I had to pick up and she was wondering in the shop. (The shop is very small). Anyways she comes about 8 inches from my face while I was on the phone and asks “who are you talking to”. Like I was going crazy. She kept touching everything that was on the counter and just saying things that were out of no where.
Yeah, that’s unfortunate, a coin shop is always going to attract some bad elements. I had a similar issue recently in Toronto (I’m from Ireland), anyway, the lady being served wasn’t on drugs, she was just plum crazy, the shop explained the reason why she couldn’t pick her metals up that day, I stopped counting at the 20th time they explained to her! I was grateful for one thing that day, however, that being I wasn’t married to her! lol
I like 5-oz bars and the Italpreziosi bars are one of my favorites.
Yeah I have definitely taken a strong liking to it myself!!!
What is that on the wood in front of you?
It’s just a back drop so your not looking at my basement wall
I've been to tims shop when I was number 10 in line; an hour and a half later i was number 8 in line with a line out the door.
Yeah I can definitely see that for sure. I recommend those who go make sure they have no other plans for a bit. Still would do it though.
LMAO .. get there at least an hour early ...it will save greatly on the other end .... especially if your driving from any distance and your going on a Saturday .. Tim is great ..but the parking can be horrible.. have a good idea of what you may want and call ahead of time ..even though it says he opens at 11:30 it could be 12:00 its what stackers have accepted as Tim's time lol ... rules of engagement: whoever gets there first before he opens goes first.. second.. third.. and so on .. when waiting in line you will observe Phone calls come first ..then those that are in line.. after that cross your fingers you don't need to use the restroom .. if you do politely ask the person behind you if it would be ok to hold your spot .. theres a dunking donuts across and just down the street .. the bathroom is key padded so you will need to get an attendant to open it .. Its dirty so don't touch anything ... GoodLuck 🙂
@@preciousmetals7114 GREAT point about needing a bathroom! Man, that would suck after waiting all that time. You cannot go there unless you have a good two hours of in-store time and, he doesn't exactly give you something to look at or a place to sit. A few stools, all taken much of the time. I'll still go there but only when I can be the first one waiting when he opens cuz - dayem.
Do not have a LCS near me. I use Monumental Metals a lot, but I have bought from SD Bullion. I just watch and look for deals. Brits have 25 to a tube
Yeah thank you. I just filled my first tube of the Brit’s last week and I did a video on that as well. They are my first full tube of coins.
The Brits do 20 coins on the 2 ounce coins and 25 on the single ounces. I think the fact they ship everything in the same tubes is strange.
Good to know and info me a bit. I appreciate it!!
Have had NO luck with our local coin shops.
Why is that?
Yeah a cpl bucks more in most shops but it’s well worth it ,
Yeah I only wish there were more than one closes to me.
Tims coin shop was the worst experience in a coin shop i ever had.
I get you need to be personal with your clients, but he was just chatting with someone there for 45 minites while there was a line of people waiting for him, i ended up leaving after waiting almost 2 hours.
I agree it can be frustrating, but at the same time when I experienced the same it was relaxing as far as feeling as if you were being treated as the only one there. As this is a lot to deal with, and when traveling far just to go there you don’t want it to become an all day affair. Thank you for your personal feed back and i appreciate you watching!
I'm glad WE are at 47 oz of AU
How do I go about cashing in my portion😂😂😂😂
lol well by keeping up and supporting the channel. There will definitely be give aways 😉
I like 5 ozt and 10 ozt bars ...
They just feel ... chunky ... lol
Definitely agree with you on that. Holding and owning my first one has definitely wanting more or them.
New Hampshire is a state.
You’re right, I know. I heard that mistake while editing, but everyone here knows what I meant lol.
Just so as you know, it's pronounced "Brit-Ann-E-Ah", I'm a coin collector an have one from each year, plus the Privy-Marked examples. Some are bullion grade, but some are better grades.
Well thank you for watching. And I’m sorry I don’t pronounce it correctly
New Hampshire is a state, not a town :)
lol I’m aware of this mistake. It’s been pointed out quite a few times now. Thanks for watching!
You said Tim pulled out of tube of Britannia should have bought the whole tube then you would know how many will fit in a tube LOL
The tube wasn’t fun unfortunately lol, but I did get the answer I was looking for. Just like the maples they hold 25 1 oz coins.
Yeah this mess ain't cheap but I love my silver and the benefits of having it in my possession
My goal is $50-$100 oz silver, too much manipulation going on
Well 100 dollars worth of silver isn’t much.
Get your gold stack started
Yeah it’s likely something I’m going to get into as well, however I want to build up my silver first. Even with the 60oz of silver I now own. It’s not even work 1 oz of gold. I’d like to get into it more, but gold for the time being is a bit of the table.
"bruh·ta·nee·uh"
"Thinking to myself" Huh?
Think it's time for Marschner to retire
Excellent shit
lol sounding it out real quick to make sure you ask for the right thing next time?
I near think a guy who loves what he does should leave it. However I really think he could use help. Even if he hired a running just to get things from the back of the store.
I am not sure about Yankee stacker, he seems scamy to me
I like a lot of his content, however I also I also think he does push a lot of things. All big TH-cam creators do though, I think it’s always best to take everything from everyone else with a grain of salt. At the same time. If you are a stacker it is important to have your own personal reasons and not just tuning into the hype.
Going into a coin shop for the first time is just like going in to your first sex toy shop. Just remember, it's all about getting screwed one way or another. You're doing great learning and regurgitating all the stacker platitudes. Here's one you don't here too often on the bullion pusher channels, buy only on the deep dips in the retail price.
Very much agree with you. I know right now it’s all up in the air as far as pricing, but we know there will be pull backs.
You can only get screwed in a coin shop when you haven’t researched the items you end up buying. LCS staff not helpful or friendly? Then show them your backside as you leave the shop.
You say good things about Tim and then not so good things about Tim and his store. Go if you want to, if not, then don't. Kinda of bashing him :(
I don’t think it is Bashing him to share my personal opinion to the fact that I think he needs help. I think honestly that’s the only negative thing I said about him at all. I have other negatives for sure that I brought up. But none were Tim’s fault. Besides the fact that it would have been nice to know he couldn’t do cards. This is a review of going, I think it’s important to share my own experience. Plus you will see multiple comments here saying I would return.
@@AllAboutTheMetalLike u had said no one had paid with card so that's kinda obvious to me but I bet if u would've asked is plastic accepted u would've got an answer. It was just a bad decision to wait til u got up to Tim to ask. Cool that u got to go to Tim's shop in the city of Manchester State of New Hampshire. Kinda curious about the guy selling PM in line and why he was a weirdo? Overall helpful review and a great way/idea to get views.
No, it's his experience, and he is being very fair, open, honest, and candid, in a very respectful, and not rude or unfair way. Not everything is rainbow and sunshine.
Allaboutthemetal, thanks for your video. Very entertaining and informative and very professionally done.
@@AGAUaddict I don't know, i would assume a store or business - these days- would take credit cards. If a business was worried about the service fee credit cards place on purchases, they could do what gas stations do, charge more for credit purchases. Just as the big coin sellers do. Higher price for credit cards, less for cash... Geez, imagine making a wrong assumption because there are SIGNS for credit card on the wall, LOL.
@@secondrule Do u accept Plastic? Simple as that.
lose the gloves..just sayin
It’s a preference. I don’t like finger prints on everything. And I work with a lot of oils and grease. That I don’t want to get on the coins. Yes you could say washing your hands. Which I do, but still a preference
FJB
I agree with that statement
Good to know 🥸👍🏻Sounds typical of New Hampshire; nice folks.
It was good
