Dave, looks better than new 😉😏 Should be ready for another 20 years of working 👍👍 You missed a few spots on the windows 😁 Nothing that a little Windex won't clean right up. Good job 👍👍
The trick I thought was a length of string in the rubber to help pull the rubber into the frame and some soap. Glad you got them back in any way you could . Now your ready for winter with a second bulldozer yeah that's GREAT.
Came out sharp. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you make the D6 pretty again. If you need more window practice, you’re welcome to come to GA and replace some tractor windows for me. I hate doing windows.
David, they can do what they want and they will and some...but from the bottom of my heart, thanks for giving this "Kitty" a jewish overhaul and letting her stand at the front line again. Most of those old jewels just needed a bigger rubber band to get started. I have had them with the duel 8D battery's on both sides and still have to walk home a few times cussing why they took the pony motor off. I have stood between the blade and radiator or kneeled down on the track on drivers side to start a pony motor and lived to tell about a hard starting pony engine that I got a bit exuberant with some breathalyzer and sent the rod flying out of it past me with some bits. God yes everything came to life right there as I shoved the snot to her and that old nine started and then the pony motor not even warmed up... a series of ah shits but big motor running.... little motor no more take it to shop in the winter..... just parked it on hill and drop the clutch and sometimes it ran and other times was tow it. Real good for those oil pumps that never moved the gauge for a while and as it came up you would give it the start mode.... oh those were the days. And just to feed your ego, yeah I love your sense of humor... I was curious if I had watched and then this comes out making me think my dreams were not dreams. So a "heater and air conditioning too????" This should make the old man happy
That handle is bent up isnt it. There usually Straight out from where they bolt up. It looks great....Love these old CAT Dozers. My Dad had an old D6 C. The old ones are pushing fools..
11:12 - yeah that's zeigler, is that the Duluth location, they seem to be a bit better but the Brainerd location has had there moments, we couldn't find an exhaust manifold for our cat forwarder anywhere, it was like it didn't exist as far a zeigler was concerned
Looks like one sitting on the Carolina Tractor lot years ago, except for the blade. Pop has to be happy! I'd be happy to get to burn some fuel in it. On a ROLAD where I wouldn't scratch it. You did GOOD, David. Probably better than good. And if you want to do that back sticker right just take the 'R' off it and put an 'H' back on. Happy hunting/tree falling! GBWYall!
Wow dude that came out better than I expected it to be, except for the spots that you missed of course! lol. Like the FRONT of the blade??????? hahaha. Yeah I know...1 day of dozing and that paint would be gone. But its the principle of the matter...Kinda like that broke bug shield???
That's a nice old Cat. You did her proud. Just, can you explain how you cut those window corners...with a radial saw! (We saw what you did in those last videos!)
With that fancy paint job, she ought to slice through the air like a hot knife through soft butter-efficiency is about to double! Just kidding a bit 😂😂! Your daddy should be delighted with the outcome as you did a brilliant job👏🏻🤟🏻
Your dad will be happy with the repainting and glass repair now you will be able too plow snow and keep the elements out great job on it did you get any cat decals
I am so happy you put a set of classic decals on this! Looks absolutely great!!!
All of that work and didn't even push any dirt. What a jhip... looks good.. nice job
