Not usually one to comment on TH-cam but as a guy who got into dirt biking 3 years ago and just bought my first brand new 24 300xcw I’ve been appreciating your content and commentary. Cheers
Tusk battery was fine for me for many years, I forget how long maybe 4. Then I had it puff up and short out, luckily it didn't catch fire or anything. It may have happened when my start button got stuck, then I tried to charge it thankfully it still didn't explode.
Hmmm how long have both those batteries been in use ? Reason asking I've not been super impressed with both my antigravitys....great at first..bike definitely starts quicker ..until it doesn't! I ride year around so its not like they sit for long periods. Pretty expensive battery to only last a yr or so
I picked up a 2020 DRz400 earlier this month, I'm setting it up for light ADV and trail riding.... I'm using your RM link for the parts, so no laughing at the bike or else 💥
Ordered My Head and ERM from Steve at South Bay today, said ERM's are on the way from Australia, thought he would be shipping them out next week for the 23 XC's.
I just ordered some tires through your RM link today, I tried to order the moose balls also with the innteck link but it wouldn’t let me click on anything for front and rear so I had to call them directly. Not sure if it’s my phone or not so you might want to check it out. You can send me a piece of plastic to arizona if you have something left, I’ll put it on my wall. Hope I get to ride with you when you come out, I’m only a C or low B at best though.
that was a killer 1000 at night video (at night??) that place sure has changed, were those rental pits? i got a question about a 650r 2000 that i picked up over 2 yrs ago. it's the fastest cadillac i've been on. when the bike is on a stand or in the air there's quite abit of freeplay which shouldn't there, should it, and there's no adjustment for that is there. i changed the bushings on the shock top and bottom. preloading the spring won't do any thing for that will it. is it in the worn bushings isn't it? thanks, if you have the time to get back on that cool, but i can see your loaded up with alot to do.
thanks on the checks, oh the pits looked like they were busy and at night, i can't imagine. in 79 me and a friend arranged 9 pits at the 500 from family and friends who had never been in baja, nor at a pit before, on the way in leading, i think it was the last pit, they weren't there, i go through and figure if i rode on the needle jet i might make it, 10 more miles i see a husqvarna pit, i ride up, shut it off and go, "you guys got any extra gas." they looked unthrilled around it, and 1 guy grabs a can and puts some gas in, i say thanks man, the year there was a a brush fire was rode through comin to ensenada, we ended up 2nd or 3rdOA behind jack johnson (iron manned it solo) and first in class 21, jeff kaplan and rick finger got second. i was young and didn't give enough or any credit at the trophy pres, i should've given it to them, they would have won. it was our last race, after first in parker, mexicali, and the 500, class 21, on a factory support ride IT250F, that compared to the rest of the class as it should have been tied down the front bumper of a Winnebago heading to a good sams campground. parker paid 1800.00,mexicali-1300.00 the 500maybe1500.00. yamaha's rueben portillo didn't even say thanks, nor did they run any ads, they dropped the program and the next year gave it to bruce Olgilvie and chuck miller, 40 yrs later i bought a used xr650 r that bruce had a hand in designing that carried 9 consecutive wins at the 1000. i try to ride it every day. bruce was a pretty cool guy. he and larry roeseler were 10 years ahead of me, but one year i got #2x number plate in between larry and bruce, i overalled 1 race and was disqualified for taking a massive shortcut, i was a Checkers MC memeber, that was an honorable move. 45yrs ago. @@highlandcycles
Base map. I will still be using the TSP ignition, fuel and PV maps. The base map is what allows the reader to read and clear codes. It’s like the operating system. The 23XC was all locked up.
"not a studio", that's why I like it!!
Another stellar video, can’t wait to see the Beta
Awesome! Looking forward to the series
Thanks! ☕
Thank you so much!!
I haven’t had a bike in a long time, but I’m wanting to get back into it and probably leaning towards a KTM 2 stroke

Great intro Morgan.👍
If you could do a in depth video of greasing the swingarm and linkage bearings that would be awesome!
That’s coming
Looking forward to seeing the new graphics!
While you're doin all that maintenance, don't for get to service that kick starter. Oh...wait....😜 Good info.
🤣😂😢😢
One of the best channels bout bikes in my opinion..love the yz content but im gradually starting to want a 300 smoker...maybe in a couple years
Thanks for the reminder to grease chassis bearings.
I run the same tusk battery on my KTM and it’s been great so far!
I forget which video you mentioned it in but what do you torques your triple clamps to on your 23 300xc?
17nm on top (I actually go to 20) and 12nm bottom.
Good stuff Morgan! Looking forward to this.
Good call on the throttle cables. I had one break on my on 15’ during a HS race
Looking forward to that Sachs motored Penton/KTM to be wrenched on!👍🏼
I got a tusk and antigravity tusk seems way more powerful and last longer before needing a charge
Stoked

Will you be changing the sprockets closer to stock again since it’ll be your “go fast” bike?
Yes. I’ll be going to a 14/50 most likely
👍👍

Will you be re-packing the spark arrestor?
Yes
Hey thanks for the vids. How is the rear tugger attached on Loretta, dealer says need some chunks other than the strap? TY
It was bolted through the little 6mm headed bolts. Probably not super strong.
Thanks for the reply. Beeta? How bout a brc 500 kit for baja...
@@olddirtbiker would be cool but I would worry about reliability and fuel consumption
Exiting things going on in the shop. Q - Will a lithium battery with a higher cranking capacity do any damage to the electrical system (Beta) Cheers
No damage.
I'd rather watch you as Kyle Bothersome any day 👍
331k people disagree with you, but I do like this channel. I like them both.
@@Stabone73 331k because he's been on way longer. He doesn't know anything compared to Morgan.

Jeff who? 😂 Keep being #1! Happy Holidays!
Any dry not snowy riding or your way?
Yep. Good right now
How about adding a signature to those old plastics. I will donate for a side panel or fender😊
I agree with him put your signature on something I would love it I don’t really care. Thanks Morgan

Yes you are!
Got a code 37 (ignition coil) error on my 23 TX . Bike runs fine . Got this issue with yours ? Thanks
