I'm excited to try it! It looks very nice. I'm using a VAS rebuilt and modified Denon DL103 right now that sounds pretty great, so it has some decent competition.
I have the nude elliptical variant, the AT-OC9XEN. Except for the color and nude tip, it's the same thing. Watch out for the stylus guard, it can come off very easily - almost too easily. I recorded a needle drop of it, you can view it over here: th-cam.com/video/s7HYoVTaFtI/w-d-xo.html Nicely warm sound, nothing like the typical sound of Audio Technica MM cartridges!
@@QoraxAudio Where did you find that deal? I am looking at this compared to the VM540ML as they are similar in price and my TT preamp will support either.
@@concertexperiences1602 Got lucky and found it at a German seller on eBay. But it was about a year ago... prices of audio equipment has skyrocketed last year, but even more so for cartridges... and I think that trend will continue for the upcoming year. It definitely doesn't bode well for us cartridge collectors... Recently found out that Audio Technica did a price hike on all of their cartridges again.
@@QoraxAudio Seen the XEB for 229 on Amazon over the weekend. It's back up to 259. I just picked up an AT-LP3 TT and it's got support for MC. I'm curious to see how it compares to the MM line. More interested as what other options are there for a MC at that price range, but more importantly does it actually sound better?
Can't wait to hear what you think of it brother 🎸✌️

I thought about buying that one, but thought the lower price point was more interesting for a review. I can't wait to mount it up! Maybe I'll keep it.
@@6AM_YT Yes, the price difference is quite considerable when buying at full price.
I got lucky and found the XEN at a discount for 250 bucks.
