    Tampa native here and have lived in Miami. You're spot on. Unfortunately Tampa area has had huge increases in housing costs the last year. Still cheaper than Miami but the gap has narrowed.

    Basicallly I’m 14. I want to be a firefighter but not up here in Ohio. So my plan is after high school to move to Florida and I’ve been having a hard time deciding between Tampa and Miami. I figured it would be easier to make up my mind now so thank you for this video.

    Guys, I am aware that as a disabled person people might be nicer to me, than they are to non-disabled people, but New Yorkers blow Miami residence out of the water in terms of friendliness. Miami is the only city I have ever been to where I have felt unwelcome at. Tampa has all the beaches, all the diversity, a lot of great food, including Cuban food, great weather, but most of all people are actually friendly there. I never understood how Miami became such a big party destination when it’s almost impossible to party by yourself, and it is such an unfriendly city. If you go to Tampa, you can have a hell of a good time with the nightlife there. If you want to feel welcome, don’t move to Miami.

  • @jsb06g
    @jsb06g 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Tampa is chill compared to Miami. When I first moved here in the early 2000s it was really laid back, but now they are overbuilding and it's getting crazy expensive.

    For the dating thing for men, it seems like there are many college aged singles in Tampa.. something harder to find in Miami.. Also Miami women will have much more expectations..

    Tampa is also a fast paced major city, here in Florida that has tons of good paying jobs popping up every where. It's not just family oriented here it happens to also be career oriented as well. It's just more laid back and fun here is all.

    I have a 3.7mil net worth and in Miami I feel poor.. but there really aren't many options of places to live in the US.. so many social problems in much of the country. I tried to find a place that was comfortable abroad, but that was hard to find.

    I am originally from BK but relocated to Tampa from SF....and you are spot on about the Wildlife😂😂! Until living here, I nvr seen these many species of birds like Pelicans and such...it's as if we're invading their space. I even had to remove a possum from my attic, lol. Despite the wildlife, I like it here. I wouldn't like Tampa if I moved straight from BK. However, Tampa is palatable coming from SF. I have a love/hate relationship with Miami. It's fun and there's something for everyone but too much high strung energy to "keep up w/stuff", thx but no thx

      As someone who lives there it's a pretty nice place, but just make sure you live nowhere north of downtown. Try to find a place to live in St Johns County (between St Augustine and downtown JAX), as the crime and schools can get really rough in the downtown and northern part of the city. If you live in the right county you will find some of the best schools in the state, good cost of living and a decent culinary scene, although probably not on par with Miami. The beaches are quite nice in my opinion, probably a tier below like the best beaches near Tampa and Miami. I do believe the job market is pretty good here, but I'm not exactly sure. Summer weather is purgatory here (unrelenting rain), but everything from October to mid-June is paradise. We don't really have a winter, just summer, a long fall and spring. Another benefit of living here is that you are within reasonable driving distance of most of the Southeast, in case you wanted to visit like Atlanta or Raleigh or somewhere like that, so you can avoid flying. Of course our sports scene sucks though, but not everybody cares about that. Wish you the best, God Bless

  • @OGXIV
    @OGXIV ปีที่แล้ว

    She said tampa has more sports like Miami don’t have a football team and basketball team
    She said wildlife
    Like iguanas don’t run free through Miami
    Miami is a very beach place you clearly havent lived in either place for enough time to give comparisons

    I need to visit Tampa. Central Fl lacks diversity but the people are more friendly than Miami. I am a south fl Native. The vibe in SF is aggressive and there’s too much poverty. If you don’t make a high income, it’s a struggle to live on your own. Most young adults live with their families. I love the diversity in south Florida. Miami is tooo hot and humid. Also it’s a place that lacks professionalism. Broward is better than Miami Dade but really Tampa is prob best

NYC, Chicago, Portland, SF, LA, all liberal hellholes.. at least Miami is still decent.. and it's good for single people, although a very competitive dating market.

    Please don’t move here; we are really getting overcrowded in every part of Tampa bay; we are surrounded by water; especially St Pete so you can only build up. Terrible public transportation, bad grade schools; teachers will quit even during middle of the day, wrong way drivers, high rent (FL isn’t cheap like you think these days; 1Brs going for $2800-3500 and if you find cheaper you are probably in a rough area), excessive humidity. People get tricked vacationing in the winter and don’t realize how hot it is year round.
