NWSL Defender of the Year: Abby Dahlkemper, North Carolina Courage

After playing every minute in 2017, North Carolina Courage defender Abby Dahlkemper has been named the NWSL Defender of the Year. The award was voted on by club officials, players, media that cover the league on consistent basis and fans. Dahlkemper played 2,160 minutes as North Carolina shut out their opponents an NWSL record 12 times.
