      Aye a tad excited. Probably more surprised than anything cause. Out of 4 of my mates I'm the first to land a salmon on the endrick this season. It has been absolutely awful this season.

    watched your video on sun night. was going to have my last fishing day of season at coolies on mon. changed my mind and headed to drumtian. Had a fish from redbrae on first run through. mine was about 10 lb. yours was a tank compared to it. . Was told you were down earlier that day.

      Brilliant. Well done. fished mon Tuesday all beats never saw a fish hardly. Brutal two days. Neither did Chris. I fished drumtian all morning on Monday. Nothing colin Smith came down. On his first visit in 2 years colin caught a 12lb at ballochruin.

      Yer right john. After all outings with no fish this certainly made up for the poor days.

    Great video and clonker of a fish she just didn't want to come in. Lightly hooked so well done did you weigh it I think that's looking like about 18lb ...Big hen fish ! Liked the drone footage as well 😀 👍 😄

    • @CF_Fishing
      @CF_Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      34inches it was. I did weigh it but the mcleans net wasn't accurate. Cause I've caught fish of almost similar size. Who knows I was just happy to get a big fish like that on the single hander.

    Marvellous, I feel your anxiety. I hooked a Salmo yesterday on my 9/10 DH and I see your fishing a SH rod. It took me an hour to net it, 25lb. Ive had high teens before, but never had a fish that just went to the bottom and sat there. After 40 minutes it was still stripping line off the reel. Big fat Hen like that. How long were you playing the fish ? What a tank on a SH ! well done

    • @CF_Fishing
      @CF_Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers that's a beast well done. Aye the endrick is a small river. Only time you'd use a switch rod is big water and only in runs that allow the roll or Spey cast which to be honest is rare.

    • @CF_Fishing
      @CF_Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      About 16minutes I think. Bicep aching. Was by myself so more difficult. Experience to be patient was the right call as u can see the hook was holding on and no more.

      @@CF_Fishing Im an old hand Trout fisherman, only Salmon fishing a few years, but the Trout fishing on light gear is where the skills are learned. I sometimes fish the Coquet and use a switch rod, but I think I need to corner one of the tanks on a SH rod now. Endrick looks tremendous. Good skills fettling that.
