I appreciate this compilation videos. Even though I admit not seeing them all I would say it's very good recap both for people who didn't watch the streams, not everyone is interested in uncompressed content, and people who wants to remember what happpens on the previous one.
I'm glad that you enjoyed them! I do think that the format is fun, though it does add to the general weekly video workload. So thanks for saying, I appreciate it a lot :>
Lol it was entirely because I realised after the whole thing came out that for people who had been watching the entire recap series as it came out that this would be more convenient, as well as for anyone who for some reason wanted to watch all of the individual recaps (including all the sign offs...). Glad that you liked it though!
Maria is completely correct! It did occur to me at the time that I wish I had moved in Gilliam a turn before so that he coulda doubled properly, but... alas. Ironmanning moments stop you from planning all these things perfectly
Beeg Armor memes aside I really enjoyed this run. The limitation turned fe8 in an almost different game with a different meta, it almost reminded me of isometric srpgs where you don't usually oneshot your enemy due to not doubling so having good bulk is as important as having a good offense
Yo Mav, thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yeah, it was definitely a very different experience, I can totally see what you mean about the isometric SRPG moment, though I guess in my case, I was getting doubled at least lel
That moment when even with 0 speed and 0% spd growth, Lyon can't double Gilliam (who got some SPD bonuses from promoting and using speedwings, alongside using a speed boosting axe) and Myrrh (who got lucky with obtaining speed thanks to the Methys tome giving her 5% growth in her stats).
Yeah Lyon is soooo slow lol, parts of this are getting turned into a Short that will come out shortly enough because like... 0% Spd growth Gilliam being able to double him is absolutely absurd lmaoooooooo
Kinda goes without saying that if Lyon and Fomortiis had the ability to double all your units here, this could have gone MUCH worse. Good enemies, but they would be fat roll masters in Dark Souls, heh.
Yeah if Lyon were actually able to double everyone here, then it would be scary. Funnily enough, Fomortiis was actually able to double everyone, it just turned out that both Myrrh and Gilliam had enough Def to just facetank a round of combat with him lol Also I've never played a Souls game so I have no idea what you meant by this
@@akirasou Guess I got so caught up on Lyon that I forgot Fomortiis' hefty damage is all purely physical for a bit. "Fat roll" in Dark Souls refers to certain gear weighing you down so much (either by them being too heavy or you lacking the stats for them) to the point that your movement and dodge-rolls _especially_ cover much less distance when executed.

I like the fact that you upload the whole thing first rather than this one.

maria (note: maria refers to itself in third person) loves how gilliam didnt even actually double lyon because lyon died to the first hit
