The studio moved to another country, and some of the staff decided to bravely defend Ukraine, so the fact that the game was released at all is a miracle

This is making me miss the thrill of the few first volumes of Otherside Picnic... The latest ones felt more like a dealing with Occult and Horror stories/legends with all the gimmicks known... Especially the bolt throwing... Nothing beats the thrill of walking and living with the unknown...

Pitty they removed Russian (understandable of course). Language is more than an option or interface feature, it’s an integral part of the experience and feeling especially for those born in USSR as me. A lot of phrases from the first stalker became memes.

I remember more of a stealth approach specially when travelling long distances and checking through every possible stash before leaving current area. Hiding behind covers to listen to surroundings for possible approaching foes

stop comparing stalker and metro, metro is just trash, overrated crap that has nothing to do with stalker and somehow they still find a way to relate both games, i started 2033 with great expectations ppl sayin its like stalker its a masterpiece and all that bullshit, but its just a horrible scripted campaign game where u hv no idea where ur supposed to go, no any awareness of the environment, the game basically blinds u and chains u in every way possible, u cant pass over seemingly jumpable objects, there are hidden transparent objects in the game that stop u from moving to a place that doesnt make sense so u end up not having any idea where ur supposed to go, the problem isnt it being campaign or blocking u from going to a place but the way it does it is stupid, just put a wall or something there not a non existent not modelled wall or object, the game has no soul or any clear identity, the story is crap, when it came to that reds vs nazis part i died from cringe and deleted the game

If you want complete immersion, put Ukrainian voice acting and English subtitles. Ukrainian dubbing is something, each character is charismatic in its own way, and different groups differ in the manner of communication, for example, bandits speak in Surzhik. The English version also partially conveys this, but in my opinion not fully. The English dubbing was done by a non-Ukrainian studio, so there will hardly be a Slavic accent, or there will be little.

They pooped on the original stalker feel. They added many goofy sounds and visuals effects that are simply not needed. It feels like a shift for the worse compared to the original UNMODDED games. Of course no game is perfect and the older ones had their problems too of course. This feels like Dying Light 2 too much.

This game is not a stalker anymore for me. The vibes are dull, the interactions and dialogues are ghoulish. It saddens me that the game that most of players waited for 15 years has finally been released and what i see is....just another mod with dying light vibes. The only thing this game has in common with trilogy is just a title name.
