During covid I think misinformation started when political agendas were being inserted using a crisis as an access point. This caused the other side of the political spectrum to say hold on ... why are these political agendas coming in ... then they question the validity ... and spirals out of control from there going back and forth. I already seen some of this starting in California political circles and hitting the news. I would like to ask, what measures, if any, should schools and educational institutions take especially with young children, whose sense of personal space and hygiene is questionable at best?
Dr Tyson thanks so much for this video. I was a nurse for 25 yrs in hospital. In training we were taught vaccine usually protects us but sometimes someone may get the disease in spite of vaccination. In the 50s pre childhood illness vaccines there were seasons for kids to get chickenpox mumps and above all measles. Moms arranged play dates so everyone got the illness before they were of child bearing age. Sometimes people get the disease from the vaccine My sister got polio from the oral vaccine. It was a minor case and she had to have surgery on her foot. We did not have to pay for it. Epidemiologists are highly respected in hospital they used to all each have one. At the county hospital in Martinez ours even kept track of intern surgeons infection rates Thanks.
I'm glad that you addressed the question concerning the small pox vaccine and its protection against MPV infection. I understand a little better that we don't have a full understanding of MPV. I'm willing to a pause on my alarm response to this infectious disease, because podcast cleared up a lot of misinformation.
I heard a blog about how the anti covid protests (by a small amount of people) had the effect on the non protesters to start believing sience even more, coming to a almost nonquestioning faith in science, without even any reasoning. This was regarded as not good as well.
ok i have a question. if i could instantly teleport what would happen to time? so if i decide to teleport for a long duration how would that effect time if at all because if i teleport instantly then that means there is no time in between, meaning i shouldn't even be able to teleport for any amount of time because its instant and there is no time. and what would happen to the physical world would time continue even tho im teleporting continuously instantly? could that make a blackhole? time and space a relative so if time did continue what would happen to me?
One thing I noticed is Americans want others to keep them safe but they don't want to do anything to keep themselves safe cuz that would take work, Not being overworked , eating healthier, proper dieting and exercising are all thins that help you build immune syst and repair, your body can't make immunities if you're always working exhausted have no nutrition and your body can barely handle pumping your own blood. Along with terrible late response to medical problems with. A medical system that only takes care of very few.
Essentially it's everything else that's really more deadly. She might know about a virus but she knows nothing about anything beyond her lab. And how can anyone really know how things work if they don't understand how things work in the real world? I questions things cuz I understand how medical intervention can help like when I had nose surgery but the profit they would've made if I agreed to stay on medications the rest of my life, what a difference. 4k w/ no suffering vs 60k.w/ suffering. When there is a $$$ incentive I definitely step back and take a look under the hood before someone sells me something in medical field I literally worked for several medical institutes where we were pain in America to keep people sick.
Fantastic interview. I worry that this lesson about how the modern world is a giant interconnected community will be difficult for us to learn. We've been getting warnings about that for decades, but so far it just doesn't seem to be a concept that we can grasp very easily, and the warnings seem to be getting more frequent and urgent.

Keep up the good job you two are doing.
My respect’s from Puerto Rico.
Hi Neil, Hello Chuck! I’ve been away for a while. Im glad you both are still here doing your thing. Enjoy the content. Thank you for sharing!
Nicely Done, Y'all!
MP is endemic to Nigeria too. Most of us know not to eff around with rope squirrels, and not to eff around with people who eff around with rope squirrels. Simple.
Awesome episode! Brilliant questions by Chuck! What a great guest!
Anne should be broadcasted in every platform know to man kind..
What an informative program.
If we weren't "lucky" enough to have had a global covid pandemic keeping us apart, we'd all have monkey pox by now.
Great information as usual! What's even more awesome, seeing guitars in Dr. Anne Rimoin's room/office space ❤
Anne Rimoin is fantastic with explaining things! great episode!!! AS is the master of layman's terms Neil!
Oh, Neil! You’re so awesome!!!! Thanks for making this video 🙏
Thank you so much Neil and Chuck. Dr. Anne explained it so well. Please keep on top of this for us because we have no well considered internet sites like yours in Australia.
So that's why so many Australians come to these channels? You can't "build" your own?
You Tube and star talk is on the world stage so it is in Australia
TH-cam is the new Channel 10 news. Thank you for what you do!!!
I would like to ask, what measures, if any, should schools and educational institutions take especially with young children, whose sense of personal space and hygiene is questionable at best?
What an awesome episode. The best of scientific knowledge and humility , delivered with lots of good humor.
Sometimes people get the disease from the vaccine
My sister got polio from the oral vaccine.
Don't do anything seggual with random males. It will greatly mitigate the chances of getting it
What a delightful lady Anne is. And of course Neil and Chuck are always fun and informative.
Very informative! Thank you!
I heard a blog about how the anti covid protests (by a small amount of people) had the effect on the non protesters to start believing sience even more, coming to a almost nonquestioning faith in science, without even any reasoning. This was regarded as not good as well.
True. Science is a tool for learning what is and isn't factual. It's far from the only one, and it's far from perfect or universal in application.
Informative and enlightening, thanks for this
Thank you for your work guys! 🙏🏽❤️
ok i have a question. if i could instantly teleport what would happen to time? so if i decide to teleport for a long duration how would that effect time if at all because if i teleport instantly then that means there is no time in between, meaning i shouldn't even be able to teleport for any amount of time because its instant and there is no time. and what would happen to the physical world would time continue even tho im teleporting continuously instantly? could that make a blackhole? time and space a relative so if time did continue what would happen to me?
I remembered how well you engage the person you interview. This interview and William Shatner's, show your chops!!!
One thing I noticed is Americans want others to keep them safe but they don't want to do anything to keep themselves safe cuz that would take work,
Not being overworked , eating healthier, proper dieting and exercising are all thins that help you build immune syst and repair, your body can't make immunities if you're always working exhausted have no nutrition and your body can barely handle pumping your own blood.
That just sounds like the decadent west.
Thank you for having this podcast
I seriously thought people were just making stuff up when they first told me about monkeypox. Sounds like something from a Dr Seuss novel LOL
Seems it is a drc colbert trap
More like Dr. Moreau
I was curious as to how long after infection does it take for symptoms to show up?
How can I apply to help fight viruses? I legitimately want a job in this fascinating field.
I like this, they’re not sensationalizing it. A little bit of sugar helps the medicine go down.
People Are idiots.
I just heard her say that those studies in the 1980's were good enough because it wasn't us, but now that it's us we don't know. Is that right?
