      I have to disagree about the quality of some of the other cordless tools.. the grinders are awesome but no word of a lie. My jigsaw seized my impactor broke after a year and the gearbox on my top of the range drill went. I had two 4ah batteries fail after minor drops. Also I had a corded jigsaw years ago and the quick change blade system didn’t last long. I’m not heavy on tools like some people either. I’ve been Festool cordless for 7 yrs now and honestly don’t have any issues. Except the cordless 420 jigsaw is shit. Now use the Mafell P1cc which IS the best jigsaw in the world. Trust me I have used them all.

    Metabo make an attachment that you fix to both sides of the gearhead that lets you put the handle on and then you move it from one side to the other, it gives you like 5 handle placement options fellas

    Great video what's your thoughts on the weight of the corded.
    I've used the china or Taiwan cord and the German and while both have a bit of weight the German machine has more weight.

    Thinner grinders in America are likely due to the use of 110 volts but I could be wrong.

    • @OZToolTalk
      @OZToolTalk  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      usually higher voltage (and therefore lower amperes) results in thinner wiring/copper...

      Metabo has the MQuick feature. Every 240v gtinder with red lock button has this. Run the tool then turn the tool off but while the disc is still spining hit the button and the inertia will loosten the disc. Ask your rep or read the manual and you'll see, sounds and feels wrong but it works!

    Are the new Hikoki batteries compatible with Metabo?

    • @ITubeTooInc
      @ITubeTooInc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No, but the new MulitVolt Hikoki batteries are compatible with the older Hitachi 18V tools.
      Metabo on the other hand is a member of the Cordless Alliance System www.cordless-alliance-system.com/
      Their batteries are cross compatible between the following tool brands:
      Metabo, Mafell, Rothenberger, Collomix, Eibenstock, Eisenblätter, Haaga, Starmix and Steinel.

    • @jameslittle3505
      @jameslittle3505 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Metabo and hikoki are seprate companys. Also Metabo HPT is Hikoki in the USA also a seprate company to Metabo.

      Same parent company, James Little. I hoped they would share the same battery platform so I could mix and match Hikoko and Mafell.
