  • Hello everyone,
This short video is about generating stable frequencies using a crystal oscillator and a binary counter / divider IC which can be conveniently hooked upto a crystal and generate very stable frequency signals which can have a lot of applications including testing frequency response of several other circuits.
Here I have used a 4.096 Mhz crystal to generate the standard 1 Khz and even a 50Hz square wave signal.
You can find more details for this project here: www.instructables.com/Generat...

Great video. I like how you have shown the schematic and then also the very neat breadboard wiring. I had not hear of the IC4060 before. Thanks

This is a very good concept u have presented. Please I would like to know if I can use these ICs to generate 50Hz ~ with a frequency up to 25 -30MHz vibration frequency. I mean must it be 4.096MHz crystal before it will work? Please suggest steps one can take to use vibration frequency 5-30MHz to generate this stable square wave with these or any suitable ICs that can work. Thank you sir
