I grew up with Hinckley and when he died i didnt transition well to Monson. Now I'm older and I love Monson. He is a masterful story teller and has such a sweet countenance and you feel his love is genuine. Thank Thee o God for our prophets may we ever heed their counsel.
President Hinkley was my favorite! I also had a hard time when he died, but then I learned to love Thomas S. Monson. President Monson was such a great example of selfless service and following the spirit.
I had this exact experience and although I sustained him and loved him I did not feel drawn to him until I went to the Christmas devotional in SLC, Monson's last year as prophet, and was second row. Being so close to a prophet was life changing for me, and I saw him wiggle his ears and fist bump kids. I was a fan, for lack of a better word.
What a marvelous speech. I remember when President Monson was called to be the prophet. The Spirit confirmed to me powerfully he was God's anointed seer and revelator.
44.04 "The wisdom of God, oft times appears as foolishness to Man, but the greatest single lesson we can learn in mortality is that when God speaks, and Man Obey's, that man will always be right."
I know a couple that were engaged in college and when praying about when they should marry, he was told she was the right one, but it was not the right time. They got married anyway and what followed was years of difficulty, strife, and divorce. The consequences of their decision are being felt now by their grandchildren. So yes, timing matters even when you have found the right person.
His story at the end is especially impactful considering all that he would yet accomplish as prophet. To earnestly listen to God and try to do his will for us is a lesson we should all take to heart.
I like this man especially when he wiggles his ears, its funny..I am a convert and when introduced to this church president Monson was president, great guy,and great talks too
What faith to decline the commissioner’s office in the military! I can testify that these seemingly tough decisions to follow spiritual promptings are ALWAYS worth it. Today is a day of miracles!

I love these Prophets
Each one might speak personally to us but they all have things from Jesus to teach us thank you Heavenly Father
I grew up with Monson as a prophet and it’s the same for me

Great insights into the making of a great man and prophet.
I still can’t believe he’s gone.
I miss him so much.

Knowing what one feels and thinks is most important to one's success.
Beautiful.

We Must REPENT AND OBEY GOD AND HIS PROPHET AND APOSTLES
When Joseph went tested the Epistle of James, and went and Prayed, He was acting in Faith.

I love President Monson,
He was my first Prophet when I was baptized. I still love President Nelson but not the same as Tommy Monson.
❤️
The chosen
Presidente Monson
