I am a convert of 54 years. I loved hearing his talks that he gave as an apostle His stories always provoked a desire to live more Christ like and still his delightful sense of humor kept anyone from being offended He was delightful. I love him also. And cherish his stories and teachings. I am now 81 and feel privileged to have watched and listened to him all these years.❤
Oh how I love and admire president Monson and his amazing leadership, love, support, wisdom and gentleness to all of God’s children ❤❤. We love you president Monson, until we meet again ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Such a nice prophet. I was pretty young when he was the prophet, and didnt listen to his talks much, but after he died and Russel M Nelson became the prophet, I started listening more, and wished i listened when Pres Monson was here. But i like to listen to his talks now. I am also glad Russel M Nelson is the prophet. He is realy nice too!
Yes you are so right what a great man president Monson and now president Nelson. You truly will know a prophet when he speaks and what he does with the Sheep he's leading for the Lord.
I always wanted to meet President Monson. My parents joined the Church just before I was born, and at the time, Pres. Monson was president of the Quorum of the Twelve. My parents liked him so much, they named me after him. Though I never got to meet him, it did feel pretty special when I got a mission call with his signature on it. Now, there is one President of the Church that I did meet --- Pres. Russell M. Nelson. He was giving a fireside, and I was part of our Institute of Religion choir, who were asked to provide the music. It so happened, my seat was directly behind Pres. Nelson's. The entire meeting, as I sat there and sometimes observed him --- at least the parts where he wasn't speaking, and I wasn't writing notes --- I continued to feel struck by two impressions: "This is an ordinary man. A good man, but fundamentally, a man is what he is," but also, "There is something special about this man." When that meeting was over, I got to shake Pres. Nelson's hand and thank him for his message. In turn, he looked at me and said, "Thank you." He didn't specify; at the time, I thought he might have been thanking me for my part in the music that evening. But I think he may have also meant to communicate, "Thank you for listening, and seeking to apply these teachings." And I say that because I assume that's what Jesus Christ would have said, if he were the one in that position. When I listen to Pres. Monson speaking about these modern-day prophets, it gives me that same feeling I had on that day. I'm reminded that these were ordinary men --- good men, but fundamentally just men, with their own quirks, flaws, life experiences, and endearing qualities. Yet at the same time, the Holy Ghost has often testified to me when I am listening to a real, authorized servant of God, and representative of Jesus Christ. And it's that authority, and the power that rests on those prophets, that makes them feel so special. Well. It's a little late to say this now, but posthumously (may you someday get this message somehow), thank you for sharing all this, Pres. Monson.
I don't know how many times i have listened to this talk. TSM is a genius; inspiration and humor together with testimony of the Savior. I just love it.
I saw President Hinckley and President Monson speak at BYU Hawaii in the summer of 1997 shortly after being baptized and married. Such an amazing experience.
I miss President Monson and I listened to his talks several times and loving it He truly and amazing man of God and loyalty and dedication to our Savior Jesus Christ is his utmost mark of his ministry ❣️🙏Thank thee Oh God for a dear prophet 🙏🙏
Dear President Monson, once again inspired by you to be kinder and more of a disciple. Your words lifted my heart. Thank you for your loving life of service.
I love all the Prophets of the Church, too. They have individual books of their teachings & when I get one from the Temple, I did put plastic covers on some of them. The father of my 4 beautiful children & my first husband passed away January 11, 2008 the month & year President Hinckley passed away. My husband was President of the Young Men Presidency of the Dasmarinas 2nd Ward in the Philippines. We were sealed as a Family the next year, which is a great blessing for this life and beyond.
We all miss you president Monson. Thank you for your service to us and the Lord. Father in heaven please bless these leaders of the church in these last days! And please bless the members of this church so we all can stand in holy places, we all need strength to overcome this great fight against adversary and the world. May we always be ready to help others, Father we realize we are your hands, to help those in need. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ amen! I am grateful to be a part of this Great marvelous Church of Jesus Christ, it is a privilege.
I have never heard a talk given by president Monson that wasn’t totally spiritual but so easy to listen to and had its humorous side. My children grew up listening to him and always enjoyed his stories.
I Love President Monson! He was so Authentic & HE Liked to share of HIS Faults (&!others), to let us know that even Prophets, are only HUMAN! “I LOVE HIM for THAT REASON the MOST!” Not a Sprinkle of Pretense in his Heart! 🙏🏻💛🕊🍃
I missed President Thomas S. Monsoon. I know GOD lives. I know his Promises are Real. That All what was written in all the scriptures are true & someday will be granted. I know that The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints is the only true & living church upon the whole Earth.
I love President Monson & his teachings. His stories are lovable and entertaining & I took notes. I watched this video on a Sabbath evening this 5th of March 2023 at home in AL, USA.
