How do you drop the volume of the guitars in the song while keeping the other instruments higher? Especially from a fully compressed MP3? Or do you just up your guitars track volume higher than the rest of the song in general?
Thank you very much! I just turn the down the volume of the song, and turn up my guitar volume. The guitar sound has alot to say also. I usually set my tone to something that cuts through the other instruments. It's easy with Babymetal because the guitar isn't that loud, at least not in this song.

Might be becuase I'm not used to play solos like this. But it's harder to play than "Megitsune" which is one of their easiest songs. And probably becuase of the chocolate :p

It has Chris Amott from Arch Enemy on guitar! /watch?v=22jm5hiRh7I ) I admit I don't play the guitar myself, so I defer to your judgment on this one, but I do make music, and the overall composition in Megitsune and especially IDZ sound way more detailed and elaborate. Maybe because they are more melodic or something, I don't know.

Gimme Chocolate is just a standard thrash metal song, with a poppy chorus and a Slayer-ish solo. The meldodic part probably has something to do with it, and yes IDZ consists of so many more nuances. A lot more riffs, more variation, piano break in the middle. More technical rhythm playing as well. Akatsuki is also very cool, which I think is one of my favorite guitar songs from them at the moment along with Akumu no Rondo. The rhythm playing in Akumu no Rondo is so sick! I'm more a rhythm player so I really like stuff like that.
Playbahnosh Also I think Gimme Chocolate got more attention than "Doki Doki Morning" and "line!" becuase Gimme Chocolate is more "metal". It's more of a shock. But the hip hop break in "line!" that suddenly goes over to metal is pretty weird as well! I guess we'll never know the answer, but we'll say it's the chocolate! XD
***** Oh yes, Akumo no Rondo is a masterpiece, it's an absolute face-flaying death metal base combined with a mellow ballad that shows off Suzuka's voice spectacurarly with it's unusual vocal range and many sustained notes. That, along with Akatsuki, which is a straight up power-ballad, are the best solo tracks for lead. Su is like a goddess on stage when she performs them
I did what I could with the 6 string. :p Doesn't sound like it's lower to me. I know they use a 7-string which is probably in B so it sounds lower than mine. As long as it sound decent I'm happy. Don't know If I could have tuned my guitar lower either because I probably wouldn't have enough frets for the solo. I could very well be wrong. Hope they give out 100% accurate tabs soon so I can learn the songs properly :p
