These are always amazing dude good job! I like how you not only have the accuracy of the chords but you replicate the technique as well. Have you thought of doing full covers in collaboration with other peoples?
I don't know whether to head bang or dance to this band so I try to do a combination of both, lol. You know it has been quite some time since I dropped by, so how have you been MetallAndy? I hope life is treating you well. :)
Great cover! Did you learn this song by ear? If so is there any tips for that? It feels like I can't get a grip of this song's chord progression. Great job nonetheless ;)
Thanks! This song in particular I learned 50/50 by ear and tab. I did learn Ijime Dame Zettai, Akatsuki, Karate, Road of Resistance, 4 No Uta and Akumu No Rondo by ear though. It just takes practice I guess. Over time you'll improve your ear. It also helps that I can record my guitar to the original song, that way it's easier to hear if it's correct or not. Also watching live videos can help, but sometimes they play it differently live than in the studio.
No problem and thanks for the reply. Nice to know. You must have some serious skills to cover those songs by ear :P Hopefully I'll get this song nailed down some day. It sounds fun to play and for me is one of my favourites :)
awesome job as usually! i´m just waiting for akumu no rondo,i think it's kinda funny to play this song isn't it? disgracefully my amplifier is broken :(
***** i was walking and my foot got caught on the cable so i slipped and pawn! my poor amp fell down with me and when i tried to trun it on and turned up the volume that "no longer works" static sound appeared, i have a morgan amp but i´m about to change it to a line 6
gabrielfrquenz Yeah. When I think about it I actually had 4. I had my Line 6 Spider IV 75 replaced 3 times! Then I broke my Line 6 Spider Valve 212. All of the amps got what's called the black box syndrome. When I play with my band I have a Peavey 6505+ head with a Mesa 4x12 Rectifier straight cabinet, and a footswitching system and wireless system etc. For my videos on TH-cam and home I don't use an amp anymore. I use an app on my iPhone called JamUp. It's like an amp simulator or guitar effects processor.
In this video I'm using 12-68 Elixir strings. Could probably gone thicker, but it does the trick for me. I usually don't play lower than A# with my band. I had to sand down the nut a little to fit the 68 in there :p
***** Awesome. The only reason I ask is to get a little clarification. A friend and I play together and are planning to tune low (Drop C-Drop A). I'm going to get a baritone guitar and use it and I'll fit the one I have now with Ernie Ball baritone 13-72 strings. We have separate guitars for dropped C and dropped B. The baritones will be the one I'm getting and the one I'm letting him use. :P Thanks!
Zach Brookhart Nice! 13-72 will probably work great! Watch the neck on the guitar though. It will probably mess a little with the intonation. You might have to adjust the truss rod or saddle. I play in Drop-C and Drop-A# with my band, and the occasional D standard and C standard. I use one guitar for Drop-C and D standard, 12-60 D'Addario strings. And 12-68 Elixir on the Drop-A# and C standard guitar. Thinking about getting a 7 string. What music are you playing with your friend? From the tuning I'm guessing it's metal or djent? :p
***** You're probably right about the neck. I'll definitely have to get something done to it. Not a problem though. I'll probably just end up using 12-68s on my Samick as opposed to baritone strings. That and I was considering a 7-strng over the baritone given that it's about $400 cheaper. XD On a side note. We love to play a lot of Breaking Benjamin, Seether, and Three Days Grace type songs! We're (at least I am :P) totally influenced by the hard rock/alt. metal genres. I also like to throw some FFDP, Of Mice & Men, and Babymetal into the equation occasionally as well.
Zach Brookhart Awesome! I like all those bands. Huge fan of Five Finger Death Punch, and Babymetal obviously. Haven't listened much to Three Days Grace since Adam left.
Tone is awesome. great playing.

As longs as it's fun, that's all that counts :)
awesome job as usually! i´m just waiting for akumu no rondo,i think it's kinda funny to play this song isn't it? disgracefully my amplifier is broken :(
Thanks! Yeah, Doki Doki Morning is a fun song to play. What's wrong with your amp? And what amp do you have? :)
***** i was walking and my foot got caught on the cable so i slipped and pawn! my poor amp fell down with me and when i tried to trun it on and turned up the volume that "no longer works" static sound appeared, i have a morgan amp but i´m about to change it to a line 6
gabrielfrquenz That sucks! :( I've had 3 Line 6 amps actually. They sound decent for home use, but all of them broke.
wow! 3?! that kind of amps are expensive (well for me xD) what amp are you using actually?
gabrielfrquenz Yeah. When I think about it I actually had 4. I had my Line 6 Spider IV 75 replaced 3 times! Then I broke my Line 6 Spider Valve 212. All of the amps got what's called the black box syndrome.

Nice cover!
how did you equalize your amp to get that guitar sound?
Thanks! It's been so long I don't remember exact.
What kind of strings do you use for low tunings? (Drop A sharp/Drop A) Gauge and brand.
In this video I'm using 12-68 Elixir strings. Could probably gone thicker, but it does the trick for me. I usually don't play lower than A# with my band. I had to sand down the nut a little to fit the 68 in there :p
