OH Dave , that sure did bring back some great memories. I got a funny story for ya. it was about 45 years ago, the last time I was there and about a mile I guess from where you're camped . Five of us went down there in January to trout fish in that stream and about 50 yards up from where we were, the state was restocking the trout and everyone filled their stringers except me, and I couldn't catch a fish for nothing so the rest of them felt bad and filled my stringer for me😅. the only thing I caught there was a bad cold😅. But I had fun anyway. Another place you might be interested to see is smoke hole caverns. Dwayne

That had to be the most perfect camping spot ever. I've never been to Seneca Rocks. This made me really want to go. That stop along the way before you got there was amazing too! I'm always drawn to those kind of places and always want to see them close up. I understand why you were wishing you could paddle a canoe or something in there. I wanted to also. I'm betting you are going to have a wonderful adventure in the near future doing that trail to the overlook. 😁🌲🌳🌸💮🏵🌹🥀🌺🌻🌼🌷🌱🌲🌳🍁🍂
Yes, what an amazing place. I know you would love it. It had a feel to it. Also felt like it was untouched by time. If your ever traveling through there you must stop. 👍🙂🙏🌲🦅🌄🪨
I know. And the people at the store were so nice. Stopped that evening for a coffee. They gave it to me free. Said they would just be throwing it out soon😮👍

Have you checked out Summerville Lake resivar that is low enough to see stuff from old submerged town and bridges? I think it's just west of you
