No word of a lie this was my first touch of greatness. We first rented the little mermaid for a weekend and my older brother started to try to make me feel like i made the wrong choice. A girls game he argured, I said its Capcom makes Ducktails. Since he was being such a pain, I fully committed. Beat it the first day as maybe an 8 year old. Now since its such a short game I picked the wrong one again. So next morning I beat it agaim. Now my brother isn't barking anymore, he's noticing I'm unstoppable. He noticed I had only used a continue on the last level. Next attempt I almost beat it without dying. Now we are both begging Mom and dad to hold off on returning it just yet. One more run. Didn't get hit once, my first and best touch of greatness. A perfect run. I bought it years later and have since to make it past the second level. I have never given it more than 10 minutes of my time since.
Dude this was the same for me only with Super Mario Land for the Gameboy. I could never get past the damn submarine level and the fucking music was burned into my memory. Downloaded a ROM and completely trashed the entire game in like 45 minutes. At 6 years old I must've just been ass at videogames 😂
It be like that sometimes...ive noticed that difficulty in older games was due to gardware as much as the game lol..controls sucked lmao. Thanks for watching🦩🦩🦩
@@TheSaltyFlamingo yeah Mario has like this lag to his movements that's hard to understand unless you experience it yourself. Anyway great video, you earned a sub
😂 Mine is Goonies II. I really didn't know what to do, but everyone else seemed to have beaten it like it was another Tueaday for them. Baffles me to this day how they could have been so good at it.
HA! I recognized what game you were gonna be talking about just from the preview pic! I played this game a lot as a kid. Probably the game I played the most on my NES after Super Mario Bros, SMB3, Mega Man 2, and Mega Man 3 (I didn't own SMB2 or any of the other Mega Mans as a kid).
Now thinking about it... I think I've never beat any of the 3 adventure island games on the nes... I should go back and finally test my pro gamer moves and finish all 3 lol
2:12 you know what I messed up Nintendo game is Marble Madness. You can't even beat the game there's like a dead screen so I had a Modded Xbox and I had the game on there and I had cheat codes so unlimited lives no timer I was me and my boy that played this as children we were like we are going to beat this game today later levels it gets to a point where it's impossible to do certain things can you get to the final stage Darkness you're just a marble that can't even move I even made the marble speed of it like go so fast it could barely move it was just a dead screen. No congratulations no thank you just nothing. I'm truly glad I got to do that with my friend because he passed away from bacterial meningitis. The same year he showed me an old school PlayStation game Castlevania Symphony of the Night. And man I wish she was still alive to see what two Heavenly swords do together but I'm sure he knows
1:49 I think it's hilarious that you're like oh I got a copy AKA ROM AKA free AKA emulator LOL nah dude you spent $500 on a brand new Nintendo bent 700 on a cartridge that possibly might work of The Little Mermaid yeah I'm with you me too
@@TheSaltyFlamingo yeah I thought this was a good video I'm not sure if you're going to do more retro Gaming's but Marble Madness would be a good one to do but you would have to cheat. And it would have to be a ROM or you would have to have the game genie fortunately I still have the book of The Game Genie codes but I don't have the game genie itself. But I really like the ranting I that's what I do on my channel I basically just I play MK mobile and Mortal Kombat 1 and there's a lot of problems with both games. @@Treevors30 oh i do alot of retro gaming. Well..if you consider n64 and ps1 retro lol. Loads on the channel! Ill check you out! And i think i have marble madness on something. Ill have to check the shelves. I mostly always play the original games or remakes. Never roms or emulators lmao
@@TheSaltyFlamingo yeah for me I feel like it's too expensive to play Nintendo 64 games or Nintendo games Super NES Sega and a lot of people argue about this you know is using ROMs okay and the way I think about it if the game is over 15 years old the game company that released it they're not making money on it anymore shit even the console that it was released on they're probably not making any money on it anymore unless you know the game pass type thing that they're doing now. So in my mind the only person that's making money off it is some Joe Schmo that has a copy of the game and they decide the game's worth a thousand dollars when really it isn't and that's my entire problem. The console itself I understand that they're not making new ones so I get why those would cost more and I mean I guess the cartridge isn't either but I just think people are charging way too much for him that's why I go the rom route again I'm not down to download the new Mortal Kombat game or some new game I think that is wrong and robbing the gaming community but when it comes to old school stuff like let's say a PSP game something like that then I think differently. There's a huge argument right now about this a lot of people get angry about people using ROMs and others like myself depending on what Rom it is I think it's okay
@@Treevors30 i hear ya completely. It doesnt hugely matter to me. Purists againsed non purists..whatever. Just play on. Thats what i say. Roms definitely look and play better most of the time But for me, i already own them all so i may as well play them yenno?. The main reason is that playing the originals gives more to talk about..frame drops...glitches..shitty controls. Yenno all that.
