I have the white water boiler (different brand though I think), I absolutely love it, and I use it the same way you do, to boil water, I never put leaves or brewed tea in it, but I'm totally in love with it. I never go on holiday without it any more, as I always take loose leaf tea with me.
Great video! I was deciding between brands for a larger thermos and I'm going to go ahead with Zojirushi now! I just recently got the Gongfu2go from CrimsonLotusTea and I surprisingly love it. I've tried other portable gongfu set ups before, but this one is incredible. Can be done in zero gravity. Need some water to go with it now!

I've definitely seen those fun compact kettles before, and even being in the EU it'd be amazing if they came in europlug to pack neatly.
In terms of water-boiling tech, we are WAY behind in the west. Hopefully we'll catch-up someday...
