I got a computer from someone that put my hard drive into the already hard drive in the CPU. PROBLEM: the zipped files range literally from #1 through #95., I have LOTS of pictures and saved them for years. Here is what makes no sense to me. I actually have been opening the zipped files one by one and they all are set up pretty much the same. What I do not for the life of me understand is how he got so many duplicate Zip files with the same stuff on it. I mean the same pictures. Being my pictures go back in time at least 10 years, I decided to open each file and open the pictures and docs which are important to me. I have spent literally days doing this only to find the same repetitive pictures and doc in different numbered zip files. So I am taking everything in the D drive (where the zipped files are located and opening them and after opening them moving them to J or flash drive. What blows my mind is the repetition. I have deleted many duplicates thinking I am saving room on my hard drive by relocating it to my flash drive But I am Leary of deleting some pictures that may not be duplicates so I sit here and when doing move to I check both boxes for files to show me each rather than just ????. It will move but when it duplicates I still have to go back in to folder that I moved it to and then delete a million pictures and needless to say the recycle bin has to be emptied a million times. Is there a short cut to do this without having to open each file that has been zipped and how long is this going to go on. I have also come across programs that I have no idea as to what their function like WTH (Microsoft, Libra, Foreign languages . Why did this happen? 95 individual zipped files containing God know how many files in each folder. Any advice besides shot myself now and not later? Thanks for your advice from someone who has no clue prior to starting this insane project.
Sorry, but I'm not sure there's any sugestions I can make that will make this easier. You could delete the zip files without opening them but I guess you probably need to look into each one to make sure you're not deleting anything unique so that probably wouldn't be a good idea. I think the only solution is to keep slowly going through each zip file one at a time until it's all done.
I have a zip folder on my MS OneDrive/documents folder. You explained it very well so I was able to extract the folder. However, the zip folder is still sitting there. I want to delete that zip folder but it is not getting deleted. What's the best way to delete it ? Please guide.

I don't think that's a zip file, I think it's probably some sort of text document, but there is a chance it's some other strange file. The best way to find out what file it is would be to enable showing file extensions in the files app by following the steps in this video: th-cam.com/video/6rOCUZ8opLM/w-d-xo.html Once you've done that, instead of the file showing as "filename" it will show as "filename.txt" or "filename.docx" or "filename.mp4". Then you'll know what file it is based on what it says at the end.

Hi Occam, do you mean you want to download the TH-cam video and upload it to your channel? If so, you can go to this site: y2mate.guru/en5/ And paste the link into there, you will then be able to download the video as an MP4 and then upload the MP4 to your channel. In OpenShot, the upload button is just a special feature to upload your videos directly to TH-cam from within the app. To get your video files into OpenShot, you'll first need to open the Files app, find your video files, and drag them into the Folder named "Linux files". Then go into OpenShot, Click on "File" followed by "Import Files..." and you should then see all the files that are in the Linux folder on your Chromebook. Choose any video file you want to import into the editor, then click "Add". Hope this helps.

If you downloaded it from somewhere, it will likely be in your downloads folder, but other than that I think the only thing you can do is look through every folder on your computer until you find it.

Hi Occam, There is no need to download Ubuntu because that is a different operating system. If you want to install handbrake on your Chromebook, just open the Linux terminal and type [sudo apt install handbrake] without the brackets and then press the enter key on your keyboard. I've just tried installing it on my Chromebook and it worked perfectly.

If double clicking on the zip file is doing something other than showing all the files that are inside it the way I demonstrate in this video, I think you must have some other app on your computer that is interfering with the process. If you know what app that is and don't mind deleting it, you could delete the app and then this process should work exactly as I show in the video. Or, you could try a different method of unzipping the file, I don't have a video on any other ways to unzip file in Windows but here's a good one from "MDTechVideos" that might work for you: th-cam.com/video/5Wm4PwF8DqY/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps.

Uhm what u have to look inside a zip file how do u look into a zippped file
Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean. You just have to double click on the zip file and then you are looking inside it.
