Maybe it's not for everyone, and newer players may like to see all the weapons and their collabs first, but my playstyle in holocure tends towards using a free "upgrade" option in the shop that lets you limit your use of the 5 extra weapon slots. I limit myself solely to my character's main weapon, grab and upgrade their unique skills, and select my items based on what suits their individual abilities/skills (i.e. Korone's multi-hit attack speed, or Fauna being all about healing, so you'd grab a few items that work well with that, or even the one that drains your HP but increases ATK). Makes things feel more character-centric and unique, I'd say. Having no free extra weapon slots, you also don't get offered the (rather screen-cluttering) secondary weapons (axe, glowstick, etc.) as options when leveling up and such, so all the focus is on skills and items initially. Once you've picked your items and item slots are filled and maxed, you're quickly left with just the base stat upgrades like ATK+/SPD+/HP+/Haste+ as options, which can quickly stack up and leave you pretty capable of kicking ass. Just food for thought. Limiting yourself to just 3 or 4 slots also works for some. Have fun trying things out, whatever you do!
@@TheFranMan0 Prioritizing the overall stat upgrades in the shop makes everything that much more tolerable though. No harm in being just a little more OP than the stage recommends - Holocure can be a hard game, as you've already found out!
