On top of it they still hasn't improved their software optimisation (see some reviews you'd realise). The only things they are good at are their small factors and well optimised battery.
How have the software updates been for you? That is my only concern before buying the Xiaomi 14. I really like the phone but xiaomi doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to updates. Do you have HyperOS and Android 14 on your phone? How often do you get security updates?

As a Xiaomi 13 Pro user i can tell you the hardware on Xiaomi is the best. By best i meant even better than vanilla apple devices and high end Samsung. And for that you can invest this much on Xiaomi. Don't invest if updates is your biggest requirements. It is as slow as a fight between a rabbit and turtle. If the updates are good it can beat any company for that matter. IDK why they are not taking it seriously. Go for it if you have that sort of budget.
True but seems like they are picking up on update. I purchased 13 Pro in oct and have received 2 updates so far. Security update for Feb 2024. Good to see they are improving. Very happy with the purchase and Value for money in all aspects I must say.
Now they have hyper os, and i think they have changed the miui to hyper os to for better stability and performance as well as they can provides update through it, may be miui are not capable for updates

Aggressive pricing is 70-75k? Seriously that too for a xiaomi? Remember it is a 47k mobile in China, and the 13pro was launched in india last year for 80k. Then how can this non pro variant be priced above 70k? Makes no sense for me. At that price point we have options like s24 and 15.

My Xiaomi 13 Pro is already running Hyper OS from past 2 months.. Just received Feb 2024 android security patch too!!.. So very very happy with my 1 year old Xiaomi 13 Pro - both hardware & software wise.. Yes there are minor bugs in the OS & I hope Xiaomi further resolves the bugs in the Hyper OS..
I think Xiaomi needs to up their game in terms of software experience like Samsung in the flagship segment and they need to promote and they should build the users trust.

Its not something that Samsung cant do, they probably avoid it intentionally (who doesn't want a 120w superfast charging in their specsheet anyway). One UI is way better than miui i thik. They got better ecosystem, better updates policy and list goes on...

Do you have any issues with battery drain with the gallery app? I use google photos (and set it as default gallery) but for some reason the Xiaomi gallery app keeps draining a lot of battery.
I cannot justify paying anything more than 50k for a xiaomi phone. the fact that this phone will be upwards of 70k and still have bloat installed is insane to me. Also, hyper OS is still in its early stages so you are basically a beta tester who paid 70k for this. Xiaomi phones are not worth it in the premium segment even after all these years.
Even Xiaomi know this very well that they don't deserve 50k+ price tag. Hence they're trying to fool consumers on the name of camera and leica Branding when in reality leica has nothing to do with lenses.

I have it as well and IMX989 takes phenomenal photos and portraits.

samsung ultrasonic fingerprint sensor doesnt work well with tempered glass. I was also going to buy s23, but this fingerprint issue holds me back.
