One thing to keep in mind: when you lock and hide an app on your iPhone, it moves to the hidden folder. Apple claims it’s hidden so well that even a search won’t reveal it. However, if you go to your battery settings and check the Battery Usage section, the hidden app will still appear there, making it easy to spot.
Yep, all this is so true, so anyone, especially another Apple ecosystem user could easily still find the apps, so hiding them is somewhat futile lol. This would only work with very young children, though for only so long, and people who aren’t tech savvy lol.

On my old phone the mirroring icon was easily found when I pulled down on the right ( control center) when I do that on my iPhone 16promax it isn’t there. Where can I find this??
Aaron - wanted to let you know that I ordered one of the cases that you showed but I had to return it. It doesn’t work with wireless charge pads. No issue with MagSafe, but not with wireless charging pads. Took off the case, charged fine. Put the case back on and it didn’t charge. Just an FYI

Yes, if it’s on your control center when you scroll down from the top right. You want to tap the bell symbol. That puts your phone in silent mode. You can add this on your control center if not there by swiping down top right, hit the plus button on top left, then add a control on the bottom, and scroll through until you see Sounds and the silent mode button that looks like an alarm bell.
I’m upgrading to a 16 Pro Max this year. And people criticizing it for looking similar to the last 2 models you have to remember that Apple has an ecosystem to where they want you to see the longevity in their products so it’ll be best to upgrade if you’re coming from a phone 3+ generations prior… And no I’m not a paid sponsor for Apple 👀

You can just long press any icon, hit edit Home Screen, and now you can drag the icon anywhere you want and it will stay. Try it on one of your home screen pages that only has a few icons 👍🏻
Not a fan of the camera user interface still, it should be slipping between vertical or horizontal depending on which way you are holding the phone, hopefully that will change
Working for a major carrier - I am seeing an increase in customers returning their iPhone 16 Pro / iPhone 16 Pro Max because of device size and the Camera Control. I have never seen anything like this. They are literally downgrading back to the iPhone 15 Pro / iPhone 15 Pro Max. Today alone I processed two of these transactions. The only problem is, every year, when the Pro / Pro Max models come out, last year's "disappear" are no longer available unless you purchase them refurbished / used. I am concerned with this trend we are seeing...
Is it safe to run the new iPhone 16 pro max on low power mode? I’ve noticed that unlike my 14 pro max the 16 pro max runs battery very fast even when not in use. However, when I turned on the low power mode on the battery remained at 100% for half of the day. I’d recommend performing a restore and set up as new. Especially if this isn’t your iPhone, I’m assuming that you transferred your data from old device to new. Sometimes if that is done the old software/data from the previous devices causes issues on the device for one reason or another. Chances are the new iPhone you have doesn’t have any hardware issues or designed to have worse battery than your previous iPhone, it’s probably old software slowing your new phone which can be fixed via restore and set up as new.
@@FricklinVEVO : Regarding "set up as new" would remove all of the apps and history (game levels, etc.), correct? Does this restore this mean all of your icloud storage (photos, memos, messages, etc.) can still be transferred over to the new iphone?

Watching on my 16 pro max white titanium I am currently seeing glitches on the screen at random times I searched and it said has to do with a bug fix it this reminds me of the 15 pro max when it first came out last year
Just remember with 16:9 format the image is cropped at the top and bottom compared to 4:3 so you are loosing a bit due to the crop. So it's better in most cases to just use 4:3 and edit it to 16:9 after if you want to. Apple has it at 4:3 by default as this format looks better on print they said. But sure 16:9 is also great if you want to use it as a background wallpaper on your computer and things like that.
My front camera with flash on the base 16 takes a really long time to capture the photo, does anyone know how to fix this? It is the same in other apps as well. Without flash is fine tho.
Current impression of the 16 pro is great all around. 8800 geekbench score, cameras are amazing, everything is wonderful. My only gripe is the battery life. Even after indexing had finished up after I updated to ios 18.1, the battery seems to get sapped away. I can see the percentage ticking down bit by bit. Maybe some background stuff is still going on but the fact this phone can't get me through a full day? Yeah I dunno.
This pushing the camera button to open the camera only one time mine takes two double presses to open the camera from the lock screen. Is that normal you mentioned press it one time does nothing for me. Is this normal and same thing on my wife's phone as well thanks.

On another video it was said optimized battery charging and clean energy charging can drain the battery. I turned both off and have my battery slider to 90%. I have the 16 pro not sure if this is the correct thing to do, but I’m going to test this out and see what happens 😅
Following the recent update to iOS 18 on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there have been intermittent issues with the automatic screen lock feature. Occasionally, the screen remains active and requires manual locking. Additionally, certain applications have been observed to shut down unexpectedly despite being fully updated.
Id recommend maybe doing some basic software troubleshooting like resetting all settings via the settings app. If the issue persists after performing that troubleshooting step, I’d recommend performing a restore and set up as new by either plugging in to a Mac or a Windows computer. If you do choose to use a Windows computer, you would just have to download iTunes and perform the restore that way. I was having the same issue when I moved from my 13 pro to my 16 Pro Max and what I ended up doing to fix these issues was to just perform a restore and set up as new, from my understanding Old software doesn’t play nicely on a newer hardware.
To the pro max? I would say maybe try and find a 15 pro or pro max. You’ll get the AI features later on anyways and the two phones aren’t that different. If you absolutely have to have the camera button of course just get the 16

Titanium build, higher maximum brightness and lower minimum brightness, always on display, Dynamic Island, bigger screen, Apple intelligence, action and camera buttons on the side and more ram. Several things have been added over the years and it’s up to you if those things are enough of a reason for you. I have a 13 pro and I’m strongly considering a 16 pro as my battery capacity approaches 80%.

For those with battery issues, either one of your apps are running amok and in the back ground or your location services is running Best way is to stop all back ground process for all social media apps followed by non essentials and monitor Only when it’s be done you can monitor the drain, and for me it’s mostly background music apps and nothing major So likely a typical user problem of having ALL apps installed and leaving it

Same question here too. For now I set it to 100% and optimized on, in the notes there if you turn on location tracking and system services and underneath that it learns where you are most often and perhaps can adjust battery charging based on that.

Nice phone. I’m playing around with my iPhone Pro 16 right now. The Pro is the perfect size. Get pro max if you want a larger screen

It caused by the hand being over the camera button as you are pressing the screen. The good news it will be fixed with software.

It just depends what you like. I switch all of my professional cameras to 16 x 9 also.

Instagram does not support HDR ? i thought it did..Or you have to use in-app camera to record HDR video?
it does, but not everyone wants to use it is all. I have released quite a few HDR videos on youtube and many complain about it being too bright.

Probably only happens in certain scenarios with auto brightness which I’m pretty sure is the same for max nits.

That’s incorrect information. They do not drain battery.

I think you can only adjust the styles after if you have photos set to save as HEIF, with jpeg not possible.

We can't (or I can't) set it to 80% AND set it to it Optimized. That's how "either way" is intended. "Either way" includes both options. Yes? no? Please clarify... thanks
Same question here too. For now I set it to 100% and optimized on, in the notes there if you turn on location tracking and system services and underneath that it learns where you are most often and perhaps can adjust battery charging based on that.

You can only set one or the other. I prefer for iPhone to manage it on its own.
