    I really like how the narrator says stuff like "do a somersault and while in the air spin your body as you control the chain" like it was a thing anyone could do.

      Well why would you want to learn fake wushu techniques from an unpractical weapon.

      There’s a reason why it’s called “martial arts” and not “civil arts”

    in my opinion -- chain whip is one of the coolest kung fu weapon martial artistry. especially when it goes around the neck and shoulders combined with spinning jumps --- so cool

    that is one damn lethal weapon. If you get hit by the steel bullet once... you are ripped and done.

      FalconsViewpoint no you arent....its way to light...but if it were heavy it wouldnt be so fast

      as someone who has been hit numerous times, barely at full power, i can attest to the fact that you would be particularly inclined to collapse on the floor and await the loving embrace of death

    • @martinerhard8447
      @martinerhard8447 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vladimir Menshikov riducilous...it was already tested how much force per cm^2 you can generate with this and only a very clean hit to the head could kill someone. Humans are very sturdy. but I admit getting hit by these things hurts like hell

    • @vivam.2306
      @vivam.2306 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I didn't say it would kill, it just makes you wish like you were dead. It bloody hurts.

    for as cool as this seems, all you need to defeat this is a spear or staff(or any long weapon) to tangle it. That and this weapon would require quite a bit of space.

    • @cicaesp
      @cicaesp 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dunno man I’m pretty sure he’d still kill me if I attacked this guy with a spear 🤣

    • @TheChadPad
      @TheChadPad 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would require knowing exactly what angle he is going to attack from, and, essentially, being faster than the chain in reacting to it. With the control he has over this chain, I think he could easily dodge some spear thrusts trying to tangle it. Definitely not a close quarters weapon!

      Yes he did. But the tip is covered so it's safe. (probably hurt tho)
      (oh btw not even shaolin monks can survive hits from this weapon)

    3 reasons the average martial artist will have a panic attack at this video.
    The fact that this form starts with a sideways flip is red flag number one. The fact that the narrator calmly speaks and describes this as if it is something a normal martial artist could do is red flag number two. The comment that the chain is one of the hardest Shaolin weapons is red flag number three. 🤣

    I mean.. it IS very impressive, but would this weapon not be totally invalidated by a set of armor? Or a shield? or a long stick? or a space that is not optimal for spinning a 1,5 meter whip?

    I mean it’s cool but it’s almost useless against anyone with a bit of training and a medieval weapon. Plus, that fighting style, while it looks cool, is horribly energy efficient and leaves you very exposed.
