I believe in God. And I can't help but like this. I'm tired of people becoming self righteous and destroying other people. Which is exactly what he's singing about. He's fed up. He doesn't care. The people of "faith" in his life weren't worth it.
Yeah I can get behind this way of thinking too. I'm a Christian, but I feel like like religion as a whole is just a means for corruption and controversy these days.
Like all bands who tackle things like religion, they probably don't truly hate religion. They probably just hate the tasteless fanatics of religions. I've never been to a show of theirs so correct me if I'm wrong
+Spencer Cowan Yep. This whole song is about trying to mind your own business being an atheist while every devout Christian around you is spitting in your face and ignoring everything you say because you're an atheist. Eventually you're gonna get sick of minding your own business and speak up, and that's what this song does. The purpose of this song was never to hate on Christians, it's just saying "back off" to all of them that do this.
I FOUND IIIIIIT :D I heard this at the end of a video that had the song Feels like Forever and the few second I heard of it were always stuck in my head so I fiiiinally looked it up C:
Its because it doesn't sound like every other band on Rise and everybody says they want diversity but they really just want more Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens, and Hands Like Houses type bands.
Guys, fuck everybody else comparing you to other bands. I don't even know who the fuck 'Sworn In' is. All I hear is a bunch of dudes pushing out something raw as fuck. If I can feel the energy in it, I can appreciate it. I really liked it, keep it up.
can’t believe this is coming up on 4 years old. for anyone just now discovering this band, do yourself a favor and do not stop with this song or Time Bomb. they released a new album a few weeks ago and it’s fresh, different, and so brilliant. these guys are taking over the world 🤘🏻
Saw them live with Hollywood Undead. They're really good live, but their mics were turned way down compared to the bass and drums, so most of what you heard from these guys was the badassery coming from the bassist.
The first time I heard of these guys was at Slam Dunk Festival 2016, they were then introducing this song as I walked past and within seconds I was in the pit! They had so much energy, and like others have said I definitely feel there is a Slipknot vibe going on with the powerful pulse and movement their songs have. Keep releasing great music, guys!
Personally, I think this is great. I don't find it generic in the slightest. I can't pin-point this band's exact sound to another's exact sound. Maybe a few riffs sound like something another band might do. Maybe a few things they did, vocally, sound like something another band might do. But every band has their influences. I don't find them to be generic in the slightest. I don't find this to sound like Sworn In, or King 810, lol. Just my opinion, though. I find this song to be really dope, and bands don't normally put out their best song first, so I'm really stoked to see what they'll release next.
This is great guys. Despite what everyone else is saying, I tend to believe this is something unique and different. This is really cool. I will be supporting you guys. Come through North Carolina sometime K? K.
Sounds like no one will ever be pleased with any new music ever again so what's the point lmao. These are my boys from south Louisiana, pretty good job.
Agreed. The message, if I understand it correctly, is pretty cool. It's just the sound that I'm unsure of. On one side, the screaming is good. Yet, on the other hand, the main vocals are not very... attractive to my ears.
Not to take anything away from the band, I mean congrats for getting signed and all, but I know tons more underground bands who blow these guys' following out of the water and deserve to be signed more as well. Like all bands out there, this band has a lot of growing to do. Hopefully these guys can grow fast because I see potential, but if they don't use it, I can't say I'll be buying their album. I'll wait for the next single though
Oh my fuck! I just seen the at the Hollywood Undead Concert a few days ago. I met the lead singer and got photos with him. Hes so fucking legit. This band is gonna go somewhere. Keep it up guys!
The first part of the songs always reminds me of Duality by Slipknot. I Push my fingers into my eyes. ! Anyone? And Powerman 5000. Anyone ? The heavy parts are pretty awesome not to mention 1:54 is pretty dope.
Saw them live when I went to go see Hollywood Undead they're all right I liked a song that they played that I'm not sure they released yet called Gemini
Make up a sign. Tell me one more lie. Bow to me, There’s Nothing On The Other Side!!!! I AM NOT THE SAME AS YOU. I Am Not The Same And I Will NEVER Be!
i read the comments thinking that this was going to be horrible but it isn't as bad as the comments make it out to be, its different and i like it. IMO ofc.
everyones comparing this too other bands ..if you had to do that id say.....sounds like a mixture of sworn in, emmure.....beleive it or not...a bit of slipknot,...oh and some cane hill for good measure
i see a lot of hate on a lot of videos from rise records saying that its just another generic metalcore band or whatever, but i dont see it to be honest. theyre creating music, shouldnt that be the only thing that matters?
These guys are from my home state...and honestly dudes y'all are talented but I'm not thrilled on this song. We'll see what else you turn out and I'm hoping I maybe more stoked on that.
Awesome song! I wonder how were they able to film this video inside a church? Did they go to the priest and say: "Hey, can we film a song about not being able to find god in your church?"
Literally 2 seconds into the song and I already fucking adore it
same thing happened to me
Same
SocialPariah pretty much my same reaction
Cane Hill is too great
+A Life All My Own was this Page

Yeah I can get behind this way of thinking too. I'm a Christian, but I feel like like religion as a whole is just a means for corruption and controversy these days.

+Spencer Cowan That's how it seemed to me at their show. I actually didn't even know them until I saw them live. They were great.
+Spencer Cowan ive met the lead singer and saw them live. there pretty cool. they even said that the song was mostly about bigotry in general
Saw them last night. He yelled hail satan a lot
Lifeispeachy661 when i saw them he took a picture with me and said "are we gonna make out now". i was a 14 year old male

"Maybe I'm ashamed that we share last names, WHAT!?" I wish you would do that part live, its fucking sick!
how can people actually HATE this?
Because it's not good?
I love it. So much that I've hit replay about 10 times.
Its because it doesn't sound like every other band on Rise and everybody says they want diversity but they really just want more Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens, and Hands Like Houses type bands.
Because it is painful to listen to
Downright Sp00ky This is what we call an exaggeration kids
Fun drinking game, every time he says fuck, do a shot.

I don't want to die THAT much, thank you.

A slight King 810 vibe to it and I like it!
+MediaBoy13 Finally someone that knows them!
Mizter Meschie They're sick dude! Saw them at Soundwave 2015 and they killed it!
King 810 + MIW
How have only just come across this band?!?!? They’re blowing my mind rn

came here knowing Id find someone comparing this band to Sworn In
Found it.
not every band is sworn in guys
most bands that come out of chicago nowadays all try to be sworn in. Its kind of annoying
Purest_thane_ov_hate I really like this style of music though, sworn in isn't bad but definitely not the best
Yeah some bands i like too like barrier and villans. I feel like there are a lot of copy paste bands though too. But thats just me
maybe I’m ashamed that we share our last name. WHAT!?
love dat
can’t believe this is coming up on 4 years old. for anyone just now discovering this band, do yourself a favor and do not stop with this song or Time Bomb. they released a new album a few weeks ago and it’s fresh, different, and so brilliant. these guys are taking over the world 🤘🏻

Got to see these guys live as an opener for Hollywood Undead. . .Awesome song. . .Can't wait to hear what else they have in store for us
Hahahahahaha! Am I the only one that loves this?!?!?
Violence fixes everything in life! And I like the message. Hahahahahaha *****

Jesus fucking christ what a rush. Cane hill you are goddamn killing it.
I personally love it and want more of this band
Maybe I'm ashamed that we share a last name
Fuck yeah
I saw them as the opening act for Hollywood Undead, and they were amazing. I got their signatures and they were very nice and hilarious XD
Sounds like something that would be on the soundtrack of a 2001 vampire movie
HAHAHAHA XD
I hear alot of different bands or inspirations coming from just this one song, intended or not I still like it.
i saw them live at warped tour and fell in love with them right away.
YES I FINALLY FOUND THIS SONG. YESS
1st song I heard, now years later I like it even more and live was hella cool cane hill keep it up!!
1:27 mark is a sick as riff. broke my neck!
This is the best shit i have heard in my entire life, the antireligion is so strong i get goosebumps!
fuck yeah \m/
Found these guys 3 days after this video was released. It's been a long 9 months, but this album is going to be so worth it.
I've met all of the band members in person and they're so fucking cool! They're amazing live!
I didn't expect them to sound like this but this is way better than I expected
Personally, I think this is great. I don't find it generic in the slightest. I can't pin-point this band's exact sound to another's exact sound. I'm so in between about these guys. First song I've ever heard about them, and can't decide if I enjoy this or not.
same fml ugh
The only part I came for was 1:55
Son: Dad, why is my sister's name Rose?
Dad: Because you mother loves roses, son.
Son: Wow! Thanks dad!
Dad: No problem, Cane Hill!
Lol that's a pretty funny comment. And original too. 2 thumbs up dude.
this is phenomenal
This song is already great, but it is 10x better live!
Sounds like no one will ever be pleased with any new music ever again so what's the point lmao. These are my boys from south Louisiana, pretty good job.
I really loved this song, keep up the good work guys. \m/
Shit! the intro and verses fucking rocked! New fan.
Fuck that music video was sick. Can't get enough of the "Smile" record either.
I wish you guys were more popular, at Rockville the hype wasn't there, but you killed it out there
I'm sitting on a fence with the thought do I like it or not....
Looking at the comments it looks like everyone else has the same feeling. As do I.
Same here lmao xD
hope it's a comfy fence ^^
Agreed. The message, if I understand it correctly, is pretty cool. It's just the sound that I'm unsure of. On one side, the screaming is good. Yet, on the other hand, the main vocals are not very... attractive to my ears.
+xRECONCILEDX very comfy, I love them now. x
I do really, really like this!
Not to take anything away from the band, I mean congrats for getting signed and all, but I know tons more underground bands who blow these guys' following out of the water and deserve to be signed more as well. These guys live. Omfg
I've seen Cain Hill in person and it was an amazing experience. we were in a small building in Charleston, SC. we still got that most pit going tho.
Heavy! Keep it coming, this is amazing!
This is actually not that bad. Since its not your typical scene band Rise kids are going to hate it.
This Song should be in the Devil May Cry series!
Does anyone know where I can find their other song I heard it live and can't find it anywhere
You guys on TH-cam are never happy with anything are you?
This is sick
so I was listing to Of Mice & Men "Feels Like Forever" and heard a weird part at the end so I decided to Shazam it and now here I am
I don't understand why so many people hate this. I think it's awesome
Oh my fuck! I just seen the at the Hollywood Undead Concert a few days ago. I met the lead singer and got photos with him. Hes so fucking legit. This band is gonna go somewhere. Keep it up guys!
One of the best release of 2015
The first part of the songs always reminds me of Duality by Slipknot.
Been waiting to hear something like this! Good job rise. So bad ass! \m/😝\m/
first time hearing and they're awesome
Make up a sign. Tell me one more lie. Bow to me, There’s Nothing On The Other Side!!!! I AM NOT THE SAME AS YOU. I Am Not The Same And I Will NEVER Be!

Is it maybe? or baby?I'm ashamed we share a last name WHAT! XD
I love this
Noel McCormick i think its cool that you are defending the music like you are im with you on this
Needless to say, i feel like these guys, sworn in, and villains should tour together
i read the comments thinking that this was going to be horrible but it isn't as bad as the comments make it out to be, its different and i like it. IMO ofc.
Just discovered the small resurgence of numetal popping up the last couple years, fucking love this.
Rise has a lot of good bands, but this one will need to step it up a bit to win me over
+Shamus Gerrity not good enough for your crown the empire and of mice and men likes?
I like more bands than just those dude but ok
He got you with that of mice and men lol gayyyyuuui
Anthony Cardenas the fact that he even admitted to it lmao
Rest in piece shamu. Hahahaha
I just wanna know when or if they're ever gonna release any other songs or even an album
sworn in had a baby with king 810. and it's pretty good.
i dont use itunes any where i can find the rest of their music
I dig the track, it's a mix between bands like The Plot In You, Sworn In & Villians, it's pretty rad in my opinion!
the broken ones follow the leader, others make the path....
everyones comparing this too other bands
..if you had to do that id say.....sounds like a mixture of sworn in, emmure.....beleive it or not...a bit of slipknot,...oh and some cane hill for good measure
This band sounds like Korn and Motionless In White had a love child and I am really liking it.
never been so hype from a breakdown
I'm pretty sure people comparing all these bands to Sworn In might be listening to Sworn In a little too much.
So does this band have anymore music? I can't seem to find any more. If anyone knows of more please do share.
i see a lot of hate on a lot of videos from rise records saying that its just another generic metalcore band or whatever, but i dont see it to be honest. theyre creating music, shouldnt that be the only thing that matters?
they sound alot like the plot in you. love it
Not sure how I feel about this.
CANT wait to listen ur cd
You can tell this one's going to be really popular because he shittalks his parents, and that's a really popular thing to do now.
2:55 man so fucking bad ass
I actually kinda like it! Not your typical rise records shit
great song guys ill buy ur album
These guys are from my home state...and honestly dudes y'all are talented but I'm not thrilled on this song. We'll see what else you turn out and I'm hoping I maybe more stoked on that.
Awesome song! I wonder how were they able to film this video inside a church? Did they go to the priest and say: "Hey, can we film a song about not being able to find god in your church?"
Big fan of metal-heavy metal-rock,and nu metal. I think this song is nu-metal but only part that i like is 1:55 to 2:11.
sounds like the same production as the new Acacia album? im digging it though
Such a dope song!
