I know this is a Cummins platform taterbuilt but I’m lml based and was suggested a taterbuilt vgt. There isn’t much info in the duramax world with tater built. What’s the opinion compared to a calibrated power/ duramax tuner or a stainless diesel?
Why would they do that? The point of a 2nd gen swap is to get rid of the vgt turbo for a fixed vane turbo and of course the better flowing manifold. Lower drive pressure/more power and reliability when going fixed vane
Why not get the unique sound of the second gen manifold but also get the cool exhaust brake sounds I know a fix vane with always be more reliable and make more power but the better flow of a second get should also help a vgt and make some cool sounds
@@micahjiganie5298 The VGT would likely cover up any sound that the manifold itself may net you if I were a betting man. That's the only reason I can think for someone not already doing it.
The power numbers aren't almost the same, the numbers are just made at a similar RPM. Most likely because of the aftermarket camshaft. A stock cam would make peak torque much lower, closer to 1,500 rpm.
Damn I wish I could afford this guy. Love what he does with these trucks.
We love you 👊
calibrated power on there 👌🏻
Merica
those were some great numbers. was that with stock fuel pump? or with a Fass or Airdog. love the content.
In tank lift pump!

Awesome
Can you show the actual dyno graphs? 700 with only 63 mm sounds a little fishy
What was done to the aisin to handle the extra power?
Stick with Tcm Tuning.
What kindve cam swap did it have?
Now get a stealth 64 on there
Go Team !
You can tune the aisin now
Yes
Any reason he left a stock exhaust manifold?
No need to upgrade with a vgt
@Coyote_Joe i get that but a billet valve cover and shelf looks terrible with a stock manifold
There isnt alot of 5th gen manifolds out there any better than stock.
@wccaddell very true I was just looking around and there isn't much at all
@@lilredsledwish I could of found one with better flow and no ports. Def doesn’t look great
Want this truck be awesome to have a daily and tow pig
Stock Aisin with an Aisin Tune in it?
Yes sir.
@POINTBLANKPERFORMANCE Does the Aisin tuning still allow the use of Tow/Haul mode? I've seen conflicting answers online.
Yes sir it still works.
I haven't been paying much attention, but isn't that turbo just a little bit small even as a tow truck .. feel like thats a 5.9 combo
Long as drive pressure stays happy send it.
14mm pump and a 480 on top
Way to much pump for 100% over's.
Anyone ever do a second gen manifold with a vgt turbo ?

Nice !!! I didn’t see a Asian in the dynasty I see a assin lol hahaha
👀Man 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
👊👊
Must be a rough neighborhood. Someone stole the wheels off it.
Can you do more GM and ford content
We will try our best!
Why peak hp and nm are almost same please? I only know european diesel sry

@TonyTheTruckGuy ok,thank you
