Just wanted to say about the Luke/Leia thing…I know. Its weird. But remember, they didn’t know they were siblings. If it they knew, that would be sick. But ya gotta cut ‘em some slack there. What I would have done for the special edition re-release is cut out the scene where they rescue Luke at the end of Empire and she kisses him. When Leia says “I know. Somehow I’ve always known”…I think what she means is that she always felt a strong connection to him, but couldn’t put her finger on it. Its head canon, but it makes sense. If you re-watch it with that in mind it helps. Still a little weird, but at least it wasn’t intentional

The worst addition to the re-releases was making Vader say "no?...NOOOOOOO!" before he chucks the Emperor down the shaft. Prior to that, he'd look at Luke...then look at the Emperor, and then abruptly take charge, without a word. So much more badass.

It's so touching when Darth Vader's mask comes off, and you see that, beneath all that menace, there was just a sad, broken, wounded man 😢 The first movie makes him a fairly 2D villain, but after that the complexities start to come through a lot more.

You actually paid *_ATTENTION_* to the story and weren't yapping endlessly or asking 20 questions every other minute instead of watching the film and paying attention like many others who react to it, do.
Your excitement was infectious and you made me, a longtime, hardcore fan who has retired from the fandom since Di$ney took over and ruined the franchise, rekindle my excitement for the original and *_TRUE_* 6 STAR WARS films. I cannot wait to see your reaction to the Prequel Trilogy. Can't wait for you to react to the many iconic events that happen in that trilogy.

Leia did use the force a bit at the end of Empire when Luke called out for her and she knew where he was under Cloud City. That probably wouldn't have worked if he called out to Han (well frozen) or Chewy.

Well it could have ended with an Ewok song. Which 27 years later, I still miss.
RotJ is not just my favorite Star Wars movie. I think it is my favorite movie of all time. My Dad took me to see it when I was 6 years old. He was on strike, and I guess was also on babysitter duty. We got pitchers of Pepsi and popcorn. Then went to the bar afterwards. (This is Wisconsin after all) I think it was the last movie he saw in the theater. (We did go to drive in as a family frequently though. He could smoke there.) But 41 years later this is still one of my happiest memories.

One nice thought I like to believe is that when Luke asked Leia if she remembered her mother, and she said she did, remembering her to be very sad. Without knowing Leia was influenced by the force.
In Empire Strikes back, Yoda tells Luke that through the force, visions you will see from the past and future. This is how Leia was able to see her true mother.

  • @williamjones6031

    1. Best guess is that Han was Jabba's "trophy" for about a year and a half before the rescue.
    2. Vader discovered Leia as Luke's sister because he could feel it through Luke.
Luke didn't know that until just before then.
    3. Luke's light saber is green because he lost his old one along with his hand so they decided to make it green because it worked better in the desert background landscape.
    4. Everybody is freaking out because Luke and Leia kissed mostly because she was trying to piss off Han. They didn't know they are related.
    5. The "I love you. I know" was written into the script to get Leia the shot to say it to Han.
    6. This was Warrick Davis's/Lead Ewok first acting gig. He was only 13.
"Willow" is his lead with Val Kilmer and worth a first time/share.
    7. Awesome camera work with the race through the forest. Nobody in their right mind would go that fast.
    8. Carrie Fisher said in her biography that the most satisfying part in her Star Wars experience was choking out Jabba.
    9. Jedi is plural. With Luke and Leia leading the way they can reestablish the Jedi back into the galaxy.
    10. Ford wanted Han to die in the last episode.
    11. IMVHO this is the best of the original 6 George Lucas Star Wars. After the first six he sold it to Disney, and everything changed. Sadly

Looking forward to your reactions to the prequels. If you thought Vader's story was deep here, what little we got, his arc in the prequels will really hit you in the feels.
They didn't know that Luke's twin would be Leia until they were into writing this story and realized that there wasn't enough time available to find, introduce, and develop a completely new character, so they just pinned it on her. Good thing the most they did was a jealousy kiss. The others were just supportive. Remember how Yoda spoke of the "other" right after telling Luke that his friends might die and that would be okay for the cause? That doesn't fit with Leia being that other.
Although a potential romance was obvious in Episode IV, it wasn't developed and there were threads left hanging at the end, subject of much speculation in the last years of that decade. That was part of the anticipation for Empire, and why their romance was so well done.

Great, heartfelt reaction, Man. It's too bad, you didn't see this last May, when The 40th Anniversary of ROTJ was re-released in movie theaters. It's even better and BIGGER on THE BIG SCREEN. When I saw it, in 2023, it was a very special experience, esp. considering that, The Mandalorian takes place 5 years after the last scene in the film. Skeleton Crew, the upcoming Disney + series (releasing in December), is also part of The Mandoverse, and its narrative takes place 5 years after the victory of The Rebellion over The Galactic Empire; showing how 4 preteen children see the galaxy, during the age of The New Republic and The New Jedi Order being created. You could actually watch, The Mandoverse (The Mandalorian, The Book Of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew, along w/, The Bad Batch as an adjacent story to that pocket universe), since you've become versed in The Original Trilogy. However, I strongly recommend you watch The Prequel Trilogy and The Clone Wars (movie and Animated series), as well. May The Force Be With You, Jesse.

    A few things
    - this film gets some criticism mainly due to the Ewoks saving the day, but it gains things from rewatch: the fight scenes are crazy in that they all break up in different directions and you get fights all over the place (around Jabba’s barge, on Endor, in orbit around Endor)
    - the scene where the Emperor arrives at the Death Star - most of what you were looking at was a matte (high detail) painting with the section in the middle green screen. Same for Vader’s shuttle landing on and taking off from Endor.
    - Your analogy of Luke going up a level is quite correct, but more likely a few levels. The Luke in this film is much different to the Luke of the previous two: very serious, doesn’t talk as much, speaks with purpose, and most importantly - has come to terms with who Vader is, but it has fundamentally changed him. Meanwhile, Vader has fallen from grace and has been sidelined - he can likely sense that he is going to be replaced.
Notice a different dynamic between Luke and Yoda and Ben here - Yoda is much nicer to Luke, and Luke (correctly) calls Ben out on not being fully honest with him.
    - ALL the heroes go up in level too. Three special mentions:
    (1) Chewie comes into his own here - the way he drops his tough guy veneer when he is reunited with Han in the dungeon, the way he snipes that speeder, and how he wipes out all of the scout walkers. He isn’t an illiterate sidekick pet: he is a skilled pilot, a skilled medic, a skilled mechanic etc. He’s almost an R2 - yes he roughed both Luke and Lando up, but in subsequent films he was a total softie (remember the hug he gives Luke early in ESB?)
    (2) Leia, as befitting a rebel sympathiser and backer whilst being a junior senator, is able to convincing bluff Jabba, take Jabba out by herself and when you rewatch the films - she is the best shot of all the heroes. As you see here she can hit fast moving targets without aiming
    (3) You might remember Wedge (Rogue Leader) from the Death Star fight in the first film. He was also one of the snowspeeder pilots in the Hoth battle (the harpoon and tow-cable). Each time you see him he is a much better pilot and more self-assured. Here is is one of the best pilots in the alliance.
I saw you were touched by the passing of Darth Vader, but he has an extraordinary story, of which you have only seen half. Next stop - The Phantom Menace (and a few other familiar faces). Leia being Luke’s sister I think was a late edition to the story. The stories of Empire and Jedi were very different films in their original drafts (and much better how they ended up). A lot of questions are answered in the prequel trilogy, but remember that the saga is less about Luke and more about the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker (later known as Darth Vader), and the redemption comes from his own children.

I have a theory (or call it a retcon) about Leia's slave costume and the other slaves like Oola, the green Twi'lek who was fed to the rancor. Sure, the costumes are skimpy for eye candy reasons, but I think it serves another purpose too. Tatooine is a harsh desert environment with two suns in the sky. An impractical, flimsy outfit means you won't last long out in the desert if you manage to escape the palace. Yet another way to maintain control.

My parents took me to see this in the theater and I was like idk 3 or 4? I imprinted on ewoks hahahaha my little homies. Your absolute delight in the ewoks brought me a lot of joy, I was like... this guy gets it.
I loved how invested you were in all of it. No, Leia wasn't originally going to be Luke's sister, it was a much later idea as solid motivation for Luke to be at risk to the dark side when Vader threatens to turn her instead. Like they had already hinted another Skywalker, but it was going to be an unknown. But Lucas was struggling with making his loss of control believable. For a sister he doesn't really know... eh... but for Leia who he already cares about... yeah. Everyone buys that. So we retcon that the instant connection they had was bc of that he just didn't know why and we just sort of gloss over the problematic aspects... 😳 Even Vader being Anakin wasn't always the sure plan. Lucas has been really inconsistent when talking about it, but there are early drafts of the script for Empire where they were different people. I imagine, like with Leia, he realized that that twist made the conflict between them way more interesting, but he changed it much earlier in the telling. And it's good. I like it. But also why I roll my eyes at people who get their underoos all bunched up about canon or at least expanding and adjusting it. Bc they've literally been doing it since the second movie. Anyway, glad you enjoyed this!

Lucas probably had a loose idea of how these characters could go and how intricate and diverse his world could be.
But Lucas is a story teller first; and just like early Star Trek, canon was in the back seat with character/arcs; while plot is driving the car and spectacle riding shotgun. Though, to both IPs' credit, when it's good it's great, and no one gets pride of place in the car.
So, just using the smell test here, there is no way Lucas planned all this to its Binksiest detail. And just ask yourself, "who shot first?" Was George trying to stop Han, but he missed tackling him to the ground by mere seconds, allowing him to kill poor Greedo, or did he get obsessive, compulsive over the tiniest detail that he discovered through the help of years of therapy.
In the end, he was kind of committing an artistic offense. You shouldn't delete or edit the past

Yes. You picked up on the moments when Vader had snippets of doubt and hesitation. This only happens when folks pay attention to the movie -- not the camera. I've watched your previous two reactions and commend you on actually "watching" the movies. Reactions after my GenX heart. I look forward to watching your continuing Star Wars journey.
Do you know how you are going to proceed (release order?) with the other films?
Do you have an interest in animation? If so, I do recommend you watch The Clone Wars animated show, The Bad Batch as well as Rebels. TCW is a little rough at the beginning but gets better and better - there will be times when you wonder if it's still a children's show.

I decided to watch them in release order. I'm currently editing my reaction to the Phantom Menace. I'm excited to see how Anakin's story builds from here! :)
As far as animation, I think I'll start a Patreon at some point next year and will include TV shows and Animation there. I'll have more time then to release more content since I'm wrapping up my Masters in Computer Science this semester, plus I work a 9-5. SO TIRED lol! Thanks again for watching and commenting! 😀

Your reactions are great. Wish you had been able to watch the unaltered editions. There are a few changes that really mess up some key scenes. Also, you are correct. Leia was not intended to be Luke’s sister until scripting for the third film. Lucas says otherwise, but it’s not true.

    @IggyStardust1967 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

7:20 - Correct. However, the scene in which Jabba was added to in A New Hope was actually filmed in 1975, it's just Jabba wasn't actually designed at that point. Lucas didn't have the time or money to put into building a practical puppet (like Jabba is here) until Return of the Jedi. The "digital" Jabba, like some of the other digital effects added to the OT for the 1997 re-releases have been updated over the years more than once. So, even the Jabba you saw was from the 2014 version, and not even the 1997 version.
9:20 - Also, this song was originally different. You can find all of the "alterations" compiled into a video here on YT, that compares the original versions with the updated ones for all three movies. Also, even Episode I wasn't immune from being "altered". Mainly because the "practical puppet" used for Yoda, being honest about it, didn't really look all that good. So, he was replaced by a digital version that looked 1000 times better (and honestly, more realistic).
10:40 - Boba Fett. He's wearing Mandalorian armour that he inherited from his father, Jango. But you'll learn more about them, later.
10:50 - Don't let the size of the Thermal Detonator deceive you. Those things are POWERFUL. It would literally kill everyone in the room, so the threat was quite real.
12:05 - The reason that Han Solo was frozen in Carbonite is because, unlike Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford had not signed on for both of the sequels Lucas had planned. When Ford agreed to return for Episode VI, he had initially wanted Han to commit a self-sacrifice for the others, but Lucas wouldn't have it. So, this is how they revived him, and returned him to the Rebellion.
13:20 - That was Han's plan, to buy his way out from the bounty Jabba had put on his head, but he kept getting roped into distractions (missions for the Rebellion) that prevented him from getting back to Tatooine to settle the debt. Also, the Empire (Vader) was hunting for him, because of his connection to Luke, whom Vader had learned had destroyed the Death Star. In fact, it was Boba Fett that discovered Luke's name (and nothing else about him), and reported that information to Vader between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. The minute Vader had learned Luke's name.... he was on a mission to find him. He did NOT report the information to The Emperor, however.... hence the communication between the two after The Emperor had found out through his own means.
13:55 - Some subtle details to note here... Luke is wearing all black, and used "Force Choke", an ability not normally used by Jedi. This was done to present Luke as potentially falling to the Dark Side. Especially since learning that both Obi-Wan and Yoda had lied to him about his parentage (which was still being hotly talked about in schools across the country (if not the world)). This was partly due to something Yoda had said in Empire.... "Much anger in him..... like his father."
14:30 - Yeah.... Leia in that metal bikini went into every male teenager's "Spank Bank", if you know what I mean.
17:15 - He was the Rancor's keeper/caretaker. He actually had a very strong bond with the creature, which is why he cried over it's death.
19:30 - There is a deleted scene showing Luke finishing constructing his new lightsaber (the parts for which he found in Obi-Wan's old home). Real Life fun fact: The blade was made green because it would "show up" better against the blue sky. However, "in universe" there are different coloured lightsabers used by Jedi, and each colour has its own "meaning" about the Jedi who built it. You can Google that. But some colours are more rare than others.
20:07 - Mandalorians are historically known as "Jedi Killers". The armour they wear is made of a metal called "Beskar", and is lightsaber resistant. Over the millennia, they have created devices they wear to counter the abilities of the Jedi who use The Force.
24:23 - For context, when Yoda says, "Not yet." he's referring to "trials" that a potential Jedi must overcome. They are pretty much individual challenges that a Jedi must pass before reaching the next level of rank. Younglings have to gain a certain level of experience to become a Padawan, a Padawan has to deal with some kind of situation specific to them in order to become a Jedi Knight, a Knight must pass something specific to them in order to become a Jedi Master (and gain the ability to train a Padawan of their own), and even Masters must continue to pass "trials" in order to advance, potentially to becoming Grand Master (which Yoda was) of the Jedi Order.
25:50 - Okay, something to write down and remember, is THIS conversation here. "From a certain point of view" is key to many of the things you'll see throughout Star Wars. Quite possibly one of the most important things to remember while watching. Minor spoiler: but that theology is not only true in Star Wars, but in our own real-world experiences. Also, I recommend watching "Echoes: Live in Pompeii" from Pink Floyd. There is a very similar theme to that song (and it's not a short song, either.... it's in two parts, and took up the entire B side of the album it was on called "Meddle"). The video itself is important in that they played it "live" in an Ampitheater built in Pompeii, which was buried in 79 AD when the nearby volcano erupted burying the entire city for nearly 2000 years.
26:35 - Remember, neither of them knew they were siblings. "Back to the Future" kinda referenced this kind of "Something is 'off' when I kissed ". Personal note: I grew up not knowing about a sister that I myself had (LONG story there).... but upon meeting her in person, I did get this "familial connection feeling" that I couldn't explain, but could relate to Luke here.
27:35 - Did you notice the difference between the original Death Star and this one (aside from its size, I mean)? The "thermal vents" into space from the main reactor are no longer "straight". THAT was the weakness in the first one. You could literally drop the explosive into a hole on the surface, and haul ass away until it reached the reactor and exploded. This time, they actually have to navigate their way to the core/reactor and destroy it that way.
28:25 - Nice catch, there! Lucas was a big "car guy" in his youth, and the Millennium Falcon was indeed a nod to that love of muscle cars. If you haven't seen the movie American Graffiti, you should check it out sometime. It came out in '73, IIRC.
33:45 - These are called "Ewoks". Also, I just remembered, you should have subtitles turned on. As that would tell you some character names and/or species names.
35:40 - Oh, you have NO idea..... but you will..... eventually.
43:15 - Have you ever, in any movie or franchise, seen a character wearing a mask that does not change expression, and yet you KNOW exactly how they are feeling? Because you just did, if you haven't before.
44:35 - The channel "Enigma" is a Body Language expert. He did a video on this scene where Vader brings Luke to the Emperor... it's REALLY good in its analysis of the performances of these actors. I *highly* recommend you watch it at some point. It's some of the most subtle, yet meaningful acting in this movie.
47:55 - "He's a manipulative sonuvabitch." ... you have NO idea... But you'll understand eventually.
51:20 - "From a certain point of view".....
54:00 - Okay, rewatch this scene and look VERY closely at Vader's left hand. He is holding Luke's lightsaber in it. It's a very hard to spot detail, and I honestly didn't notice it until just a few years ago (after thousands of times watching this movie). But once Vader mentioned turning Luke's sister..... Luke "snaps", uses The Force to rip it from Vader's hand, and goes on the attack.
56:00 - Remember what Yoda said about "Do not underestimate the powers of The Emperor, or suffer your father's fate, you will." THIS is what he was referring to.
57:15 - Remember something Obi-Wan told Luke, "He's more machine, now, than man." He wasn't lying that time. Vader is wearing what amounts to a mobile life support suit. The Force Lightning that the Emperor was using on Luke, rained down on Vader the entire time he had lifted him up, to throw him down the shaft. The lightning damaged the suit beyond repair, which cut off its ability to keep him alive.

Another bad move was replacing the actor who played the elder Darth Vader in the final scene standing with Yoda and Ben. Once the prequels happened, that scene was. Hanged and the young Anakin from the prequel was used. Why? The elder Ben Kenobi remained. He was not replaced with a youthful version. So.e argue that it has to do with timing of when he was still good, but originally it had to do with his redemption. Fact is, it was to do with external factors. Lucas would not DARE remove Sir Alec Guinness from that final shot, but that Vader actor......nah, let's put the new guy in.

    The "Solo" movie sucked imo...
However... i highly recommend reading A. C. Cispin's Han Solo trilogy (the last scene in the 3rd book is LITERALLY right before he sits down with Chewbacca, Obiwan and Luke).
There were a TON of books continuing the saga after Return of the Jedi that have now been relagated to fan fiction with the sequel trilogy throwing all of it away...
However, i highly recommend reading some of them... starting with "Shadows of the Empire"... a standalone story that takes place between Empire and Return, as well as Michael Stackpole'a s "X-Wing" comic series AND book series. And absolutely Timothy Zahn's trilogy ("Heir to the Empire" is the 1st book) about the legitimized Rebellion turned New Republic's fight with Thrawn. Incidentally Thrawn is one of the few of these fan fiction characters to be re-canonized via the Rebels animated series which takes place between movie Episodes 3 and 4. A fan favorite Mara Jade (Another Timothy Zahn character from the same trilogy) i THINK got re-canonized but I'm not sure where? (Can someone please tell me?)

Yay! I've been so excited to watch your reaction. The original script of "Revenge of the Jedi", as the movie was initially called, was much darker and featured two Death Stars. The Ewok battle against the Empire was lifted from George Lucas's early drafts of what became "A New Hope", except in those it was Chewbacca's race, the Wookiees. The Ewoks were created primarily to sell toys! Luke's twin sister was a different character entirely who had been secretly training on the other side of the galaxy to become a Jedi. However, George Lucas had grown tired of his own creation and wanted to wrap things up. His solution was to make Leia Luke's sister instead.

    • @Johnadams20760

well actaully yes he intended to have wookies, however, he wanted a primitive race to help defeat the empire and said it was already established wookies were very avanced and highly intellignet. so he stated he cutthem in half and call them wookies. so it was more than just selling toys.

"I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You've failed, your highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me."
    "So be it... Jedi!"
Fun Fact: The growls and sounds of the Rancor in Jabba's Palace were actually made by a dachsund.
Stage Actor Fact: Ian McDiarmid, a prolific stage actor, based his character's unusual voice on the Japanese method of using your stomach to project yourself. The result was a strange, guttural croak that Lucas decided was perfect.
Hot Take Fact: During the shot in which Salacious Crumb (the small, annoying, rat-like thing that sits with Jabba in his palace) is chewing off C-3PO's eye, Anthony Daniels had a panic attack while in the C-3PO suit. While filming, he didn't actually say his lines (all of his lines were dubbed in post-production anyway), but repeated "Get me up! Get me up!" over and over. This is the take used in the final cut.
Pinocchio's Revenge Fact: It took six people to work the full-sized animatronic of Jabba the Hutt. The puppet fit three men inside -two to operate the arms, head and tongue and another to move the tail. A man lying below the puppet pulled strings to move Jabba's mouth and make his sides heave. And two radio operators controlled the slimy goon's eyes, including pupil dilation, direction and wideness of eyelids. A final crew member was responsible for rubbing gel on the puppet to give Jabba his slimy look.
Revenge Of The Ewok Fact: The Endor shots were filmed near Crescent City, California. Forest work was especially hard on the Ewok actors. Production assistant Ian Bryce arrived on the set one day to find a note from the Ewok actors saying that they had all had enough and they were on their way to the airport. Bryce tried to drive to the airport, but got a flat tire not far from the set. He found another car and was about to leave when the Ewoks' bus pulled up, then all the Ewok actors got off wearing "Revenge Of The Ewok" t-shirts.

If you want to relish how this trilogy made you feel---DON'T watch Force Awakens; it will depress you at how bland Hollywood turned that it can't even do right when the work is already done for them, Star Wars ended here, with Return of the Jedi.

From this point, you can go "Chronologically" through the movies and TV shows. While "The Acolyte" takes place about 80 years prior to Episode I, it's not really related to the "Skywalker saga", it's set in the same universe (although there are SOME connections). For now, you can skip that one if you choose to. However, The Clone Wars animated series is VERY connected, but for the first season of it, you'll need to look up the "chronological episode list", because some of them were released out of that order. You CAN choose to watch "Revenge of the Sith" (Episode III) prior to the Clone Wars series, but I can tell you that the final 4 episodes of Season 7 run concurrently to Episode III. So, technically, there will be spoilers if you haven't watched the movie first.
Also, do not skip the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, or either of the "Anthology" movies (Solo and Rogue One). "Andor" and "Rebels" both take place a few years prior to Episode IV (A New Hope), and run right up to it, culminating with Rogue One (an absolutely AMAZING movie). "The Bad Batch" starts at the end of Episode III, and introduces a few new characters you'll also see further down the timeline.
There are some in the fandom who dislike certain shows and movies, but I fully encourage you to watch them and decide for yourself if you like it or not. Deciding for yourself is, in my opinion, the best way to go. Also, I don't know if this has been mentioned, but the timeline is defined by the terms "BBY" (Before the Battle of Yavin (episode IV), and "ABY" (After the Battle of Yavin). This movie takes place in 4 ABY, so 4 years have passed since the destruction of the first Death Star, and 1 year since Empire Strikes Back. This timeline definition is referenced "in canon", even though it was technically a "fandom creation". It's how we kept track of things back then.
Here is the official "timeline" as it currently stands:
The Acolyte (134 BBY), Episode I (32 BBY), Episode II (22 BBY), The Clone Wars (22 BBY - 19 BBY), Episode III (19 BBY), The Bad Batch (19 BBY - 17 BBY), Obi-Wan Kenobi (9 BBY), Solo: A Star Wars Story (9 BBY), Andor (season 1 : 5 BBY, season 2 pending), Rebels (5 BBY - 0 BBY), Rogue One (0 BBY), Episode IV (0 BBY), Episode V (3 ABY), Episode VI (4 ABY), The Mandalorian (seasons 1 & 2 : 9 ABY), The Book of Boba Fett (9 ABY), The Mandalorian (season 3 - 10 ABY), Ahsoka (10 ABY), (pending release later this year): Skeleton Crew (10 or 11 ABY), Episode VII (35 ABY), Episode VIII (35 ABY), Episode IX (36 ABY).
The series' that take place in the same year, are listed by the order of the events taking place within them. So, the events of The Book of Boba Fett take place after The Mandalorian season 2, but prior to season 3. I hope this helps you out, as I was pulling it from memory.

Awesome! Yeah I definitely want to give the tv shows a chance :) I don't know if I'll be able to get to all of them but I'd like to discover more of this world that is beyond the "Luke/Vader/Obi-Won" universe. Thanks so much for breaking out the timeline as this will help when making decisions on what order events happened and what makes sense to watch first. You're the best Iggy!!! :)

@@jessebatres6895 I was 10 years old when the original movie came out in 1977. I've been a huge fan ever since then. I am physically disabled, but one of my biggest hobby's is to help new Star Wars fans enjoy the franchise to the best of my ability.
Even 40+ years after seeing the Original Trilogy, there are STILL small details that I am spotting, despite thousands of previous views of the movies. Some of those details were intentional, others were complete accidents that just happened to fit the narrative in ways even George Lucas couldn't predict.
As for the Clone Wars animated series, you can probably find a relatively "short" (heh) list of "Required Viewing" story arcs, that leave out the "filler" episodes. If nothing else, the "Clone Wars" animated movie (which introduces a very important character by the name of Ahsoka Tano), and maybe 7-10 or so specific story arcs are "critical" to the overall lore of Star Wars. If you'd like, I can probably put together a list that would take you maybe one day to go through (for viewing/recording, if you wish)... and you could always "go back" and watch the other episodes and story arcs later once you've gotten through the most important stuff. But just remember one important thing: Do NOT watch the "final 4 episodes" of the Clone Wars series until after seeing Revenge of the Sith. They run concurrently, and the animated episodes contain spoilers for the movie. Better to watch that prior to the animated story arc.
OH! And while I am thinking of it.... I have a very solid reputation of NOT giving out spoilers for major things before someone has had a chance to discover them for themselves. Technically, I've dropped a few minor ones just by posting the timeline, but that's pretty much the extent of what I'll reveal, and even those are very rare.
The Clone Wars is the longest of the animated shows.... The Bad Batch just wrapped up its final season a few weeks ago. Rebels, unlike Clone Wars, is pretty much a very long story arc that focuses on an ensemble cast of characters, a few whom were "introduced" in either Clone Wars or Bad Batch, but mostly around "new" characters. It's only 4 seasons long, and what I like to call "an easy watch".
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a rather short live action series, and I personally found it AMAZING! Some people complained about it, but those same people will complain about the weather, or some other dumb shit. Andor uses a "different" kind of episodic format, where you get a "set up" episode to get you interested in that story arc, then a "build up" episode, then a "payoff for that story arc" episode. I'm a big fan of "long term" storytelling..... so I found it both fascinating and amazing at the same time. There are a few story arcs, then a "transition" episode, then the two-part finale. It covers a single year for the first season. Season 2 will be a 12 episode (according to what Lucasfilm has stated) series, that covers the 4 remaining years between season 1 and the movie Rogue One. It's currently in production, and slated for a "Spring/Summer 2025" release.
Anyway... I literally can't get enough of talking Star Wars with new fans, as I'm sure you've guessed by now. But I'll end this here, because I have a few things to do around the house that I need to get into.
But I appreciate you reading what I'm taking the time to type out. Welcome to the fandom, and I look forward to aiding you in your journey. Have a wonderful day!

@@jessebatres6895 Well, I remember sitting in theaters watching the original Star Wars (before it was subtitled "A New Hope") at the age of 10, and it changed my life. I am now 57 years old and physically disabled, and one of my hobbies is to help new Star Wars fans with their journey into this rabbit hole.
Also, that "timeline" gets longer every year. =D
If you don't mind me making a "suggestion", look up the "top 10 Clone Wars Story Arcs", I'm saying "Story Arcs", because they usually take place over 2-4 episodes, and tend to be the most important as far as the Lore goes. The "Live Action" shows are reasonably short, and a real treat to watch. The Bad Batch Season 1 Episode 1 is a must watch right after The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 12 (the finale). But, like Rebels (a bit later in the timeline), the entire series is one long Story Arc. So, it's not exactly easy to "pick and choose" which episodes to watch. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a (IMHO) a good series, and, like Rogue One, will alter how you see Episode IV. Andor uses a strange format: "Story Arc Set Up", "Build Up", "Payoff". Then repeats the cycle for the next few Story Arcs. Then there will be a "Transition" episode, then the two-part finale. It takes place during one year. Season two will have more "time jumps", as it will cover from 4 BBY right up to Rogue One. Rebels takes place during that same timeframe, but from what I'm hearing, Andor Season 2 won't release until the middle of next year.
Something I like to do, is use timestamps from the TH-cam video, to fill in blanks, make connections, point out obscure details, but without spoilers for things you have not seen yet. Those can get to be quite long (and occasionally have to be split into multiple parts).
I still love this franchise, and likely will until I die.

Just in case you haven't seen my previous comment, there is a channel that put together the changes made throughout the years for the originals, so you get to see what we originally saw in theaters/VHS vs the changes made via DVD and CGI. I can link again if you need it Jesse.
