Can/Am was awesome for what it was and when it lasted, add in F5000 and Formula Libre at the same time. That Penske 917/30 has gone down in myth and legend with the oft quoted 1200+ HP. Oh and let's not forget the Chaparral with the snowmobile engine to literally suck the car onto the ground that got banned by the series (though that may not have been strictly Can/Am hoowever). The McLarens were wild but nowhere near the crazieiest Can/Am series. It came back for a year or two but was never the same. Then Group C was Can/Am on roids, at least GTP was after a certain point. Porsche was, once again, involved in that too, and the Chevy Intrepid and Nissan with their cars that on at least three occasions, two in the same race, got airborne and went over. John Morton is the reason for the chicane at Lime Rock as well, for a while it was the Morton chicane

Do a race with no penalties. Where everyone basically corner cuts as much as possible to get the win. A fun idea for a race

The Whitsun Trophy is a race that goes on at Goodwood Revival in the autumn. It is full of early Can-Am cars racing with GT40's and all sorts of crazy cars. Worth checking out!

Seen Can Am cars at Silverstone Classic 😍 . Mclaren M8F with JCB sponsering and some others. Mclaren driver was really going for it. So good to see. Been standing next to it when they where working on it and the noise then is the best 😍🥰

Checkout the "Gatebil Extreme" series, it's ran at some motor festival events here in Sweden and Norway and is mainly a shorter circuit race but there is also a time attack race, the cars are basicly everything from stock-ish to classic race cars, home-made track cars to DTM cars on steroids and I'm not a 100% sure but I think there aren't any rules on horsepower or aero, It's so awesome 😊
You should do a review of some great racing tracks that no one has ever heard of. Places like Monza, Indianapolis, Silverstone…
2:10 they don’t care about having the McLaren badge on it because McLaren was a race team only. There wasn’t a McLaren production car until the f1 in 1992.

Everyone knows about it, dude. 😂 But if you think it was crazy, you should look up its off-road cousin. No, I’m not talking about Group B, because once again, everyone knows about it.
