Really didn’t need to disconnect the light in the glovebox. I did the first time. This time I just reached up behind it, opened the little door and swapped the filter. 2015 Buick LaCrosse
I watched this video a few days ago. I thought too much work for air filter replacement. I watched it a second time this morning, and it didn't seem so bad. I was use to it being so much simpler on other vehicles. Anyway I did it this afternoon. I had to use a mirror to locate a couple of the screws before it was difficult getting my big body under the dash. But other than that it went smoothly. Thanks! 😊😊😊
That's a pretty drawn out affair to replace the cabin air filter. I can do it on my wife's Honda Accord in 5 minutes. An example of GM vs Honda design and engineering. On the other hand I love the appearance, ride and comfort of the Lacrosse.
Thank you! This saved me some headache. Fyi… the 2015 Lacrosse did a little better with 9/32 instead of a 7 mm - it’s almost identical but 9/32 was just a hair tighter.
Only Buick you gotta take apart half the dash to do a 2 second job, my Camry I would push on both sides of the glove box and it would drop down giving me access to the CAF 🤦🏽♂️
Thank you for the video. What's sad is that Buick makes this so damn exhausting, time consuming, and elaborate that it's just ridiculous. They absolutely just want people to bring their vehicles into the shop. All I thought I needed to do was squeeze some tabs on the side of the glove box and it would pop out...🙄🙄!! Didn't know I need a freaking tool box..😆😆!!!
My car is a 5 yrs old and 40K miles. I just changed it today cause the air smelled when I'd turn it on in the summer. Its probably recommended once a year but I'd say at least once every 24k miles. Ebay or Amazon will be much cheaper.
Well I guess it’s time to get to work,a lot of screws to remove for that little filter. Thanks for the video at least I know where to start now.Anybody have a video on how to remove the lower valance on the same vehicle.
Thank you for the video and a big F U to the engineers that created this "serviceable" air filter. Mother of Christ can you believe somebody designed it to be like this ‼️

Your LaCrosse vids are a big help. It's a comfortable car, but irritating to work on.
Yes indeed!
Couldn’t agree more
+Picabitwest Thanks for the feedback! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Not surprised the inside clips were broken, by the time the last dude got that far they probably were so annoyed they just ripped the thing out
Thank you for showing this. Very helpful, probably helped me from breaking a couple of clips and lots of frustration!
Thanks for the vid. Just replaced my '14 LaCrosse filter and now I feel like a master tech.

Seriously? Why didn't the Buick engineers design it so the the engine had to be removed to change the cabin filter?
I really love my lacrosse. And it’s been a wonderful car for years. But man some of this normal maintenance is abhorrent
What a great video I thought for sure would be much easier, but it is clearly not that easy. With this video, I feel confident to change that filter.

Thanks for the video! It took about 15 minutes!
Awesome video. You explained it both ways. And the quality of your video showing each step is excellent!
Damn you Buick..could not make it more harder than that
The video is great however the socket I needed was a 10mm socket torx not.7mm. On a 2014 La Crosse. Everything else very good.
Thank you this was very helpful
This was very helpful information thank you!

All my husband has to do for this dodge ram is open the glove compartment, open a door, and change the filter. This is insane

Thanks for the help. Great help.😅
Thanks for the help!
Thank you sir ❤❤❤
Things I have learned from this video: Buick didn't want me to "do it myself" 🤦🏾♀️ *skips off to make mechanic appointment*
How often do you have to check if the filter is still good? TIA
It’s good practice to change every 12000 miles

All that just to replace my cabin air filter?! Jeeez 😂🤦🏽♂️
Brutal. Arrow pointed down⬇⬇⬇
A bit excessive on the screws but thanks for the video
Why is litererally everything in a buick lacrosse so much more complicated to repair and replace than every other car? Lol
This was easy as hell.
@@VeryBadTim Japanese and Korean made cars you don’t need a single tool and it takes half the time.
Good video….. quick question,…. How do yall work with gloves that big 😂
Toyota, this is a 1 minute job, crap engineering by GM, thanks for the vid

+Charles T Thanks for watching. Buy the part in this video on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
To all the people saying this is difficult. I will do this all day over any nissan car truck or suv
Ain't that easy as it looks for me,but good vid.
Thank you for the video and a big
F U to the engineers that created this "serviceable" air filter.

Exelente %100
Do the engineers giggle when creating this nonsense? Anytime there is a consumable you make it easy to get to. Not this
That's crazy😮
Why couldn’t they make it as easy as the Lucerne.. Oh well, thanks for the video
This is ridiculous! Dumbest thing I have ever seen on a cabin filter
Simple
Id rather keep the cat piss smell that is in the car rather then go through all this. Wow Buick wtf were you thinking
