Nice video, been crabbing there over 20 years now. Here's a couple tricks: in the Westport Marina there's a Tuna cannery. There's a discharge spout for the scraps, there's Huge dungees that hang around that area and eat Tuna scraps. Take Tuna cans poke holes in them and zip tie them inside your pot, for the flavor to get out in the water, that will attract them. Also, they are attracted to the sound of other crabs eating, they can't stand the thought that another has a Feast and they don't. When you pull up the pot and discard the small ones and females, leave a few in the pot to continue eating while you lower it back in the water. The sound of them eating will attract the big ones faster. Several companies have spent $Millions trying to develop a device that mimicks the sound of a crab eating because their research proves that's the ultimate attractant. And Finally, last tip, if you lay down on your belly and reach down deep along the framerail of the dock, you'll find some Very nice size mussels attached that are always overlooked so they're huge. They are up off the ground, and stay clean, and the meat is fantastic in Sweet Cream Butter! Enjoy,......👍😁👍
Thanks so much for the comment Tim! Those are some really awesome tips. Next time I go out there I’m definitely trying some tuna cans and leaving the small ones in there! That’s a great tip, had no idea about the sound thing! And I’ll definitely check for those mussels under there too! Nice to have some long time experts watching my videos, I have the best subscribers!
@@BrianMonticello One other tip, if it's a windy day, the water becomes murky, we take green glow sticks and zip tie them to the top side of the trap. It's like a Big Flashing sign that says "Eat Here", it has increased the numbers every time. Have a Great day!👍
Crab fishing and such are things I wish I could do on a daily basis, but since I live in Ohio obviously I can't. We do have farm ponds to fish which always have huge fish in them because no one really fishes them. An if you have seen lunker's t.v. latest video golf course ponds always have huge fish in them cause no one ever fishes them. Most of the time specially when you ask the golf course owners won't let you fish them for safety reasons. One of the bigger large mouth bass and catfish I have ever seen was caught out of a golf course pond. One of the local golf courses here was built around a bunch of old rock quarries were I fished as a kid and caught a lot of fish. Now if you get caught fishing there it's a 500 $ fine.
@@BrianMonticello Lol, they never ever get fished, and there are some people that stock there own ponds, they will some 3 or 4 pounders and in a few years they will grow cause they will get fed properly. Here is something bi dislike about fish and game in Ohio, for a fish to be considered a state record it has to be caught out of a public lake, when my buddy told me that I thought he was full of crap till I looked it up. The only good thing about that is you could tell a small fib about were it was caught.
North East Ohio that’s interesting! Sort of discourages people from fishing there since their fish won’t count toward the record haha but I guess it’s not about the trophy lmao
@@BrianMonticello Very true, but Ohio has a pin and trophy system that gets you free lures, fishing poles and such. It's kinda cool that they do stuff like that. It encourages all kinds of people to go out and do some fishing.
Cuber Isaac I think you guys have a bunch of crabs in the gulf of you have a way to get down there you should definitely try! It’s a lot of fun... and tasty haha
Get your crap together, and get another video uploaded. You are making me right, when I had said that most people who try to do this the way you are, dead channel quickly. No excuses just uploads, lets go man, I took the time to subscribe, and watch your videos, now you got almost 500 subscribers that did the same. Look this TH-cam grind thing is no joke, and I think you are starting to see that, but pull your big boy pants up, and get to work. You set a goal of 1K subs remember? You need to get at least one video a week uploaded or it will be almost impossible to get there. I'm in your corner bud, so please don't make me right, and show us what your made of. Most of your videos were good, and I think you have the potential, or I would not be wasting my time with you. I could just wait a little while, and be right, but I wouldn't feel good about it, so you get this pep talk instead. You have my support. Now good luck buddy!
SPOILER: Largemouth bass video incoming next week! Stay tuned ya'll... love all the support so far! Let's keep growing together :)
Brian Monticello when are we gonna get the bass video?
Cuber Isaac Gah, so sorry guys, work got super busy and I wasn’t able to go fishing for the past several days! But filming a video tomorrow!

Been like that his whole life haha

@@erinas1 naturally his sense of taste sucks too bc of that …. Inb4 covid
Why does your keeper look like a female at 7 mins 17s ?
It’s not, if you see when I have it flipped, the apron or flap is long and slender as males have
Ha the way you just dropped the pot with those little crabs in it. I wonder how many legs you broke.
