      You can never capture just how steep things are on Video
      Good little side track though

    Thanks for making yourself available at the end of my Kaweka Traverse (TH-cam - Spread too thin) pickup and shoutout. Pity I was captured by the Kaimanawa Wall aliens an extra day and didn't get to meet you but I'm so looking forward to our road trip to Upper Hutt in a few weeks, it will be fun so catch you soon!

    Great video. What front and rear bars are you running?

    • @JL2OFFRD
      @JL2OFFRD  22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks
      The front bar is MCC low loop winch bar and rear is a TJM
      The rear bar replaces the entire tow bar and number and gives you 50mm higher tow hitch
      I’d lover there front bar to but is approx $3500

    I have been to the wall a couple of times. Where is the start of this track you are on

    • @JL2OFFRD
      @JL2OFFRD  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s before the wall on the left
      There is a small clearing and the track disappears around the corner
      Your maps will show it as the quarry at the top

      Yup confirm track blocked as at 18/6/23. I did a tight 6 point turn as I wasn't gonna back down that

      Track still blocked as at 21/10/23, also did tight turn and headed down@@its_eme01

    Appears to be natural but should be excavated to put any doubt to rest. The jointing does not follow good practice construction methods for a start. Any excavation should go well beyond the immediate area of the “wall”.

    Can any vehicle get thru these roads? Are the roads tassel or gravel as I don't have a 4WD I just have a standard car. Any help would be appreciated

    • @JL2OFFRD
      @JL2OFFRD  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes any car Can access the main dirt road
      The Kaimanawa wall is literally on the side of the road so easy to get to as are all the camp sites that are just located of the side of the road
      The quarry track is definitely 4wd only

    How do you find your wheels ? Get low enough pressures with large rims ? OK on sand ?

    • @JL2OFFRD
      @JL2OFFRD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes no problem so far rims are 20” with a little less air the sidewalks still flex enough
      Often run them at 16 psi

    Hey mate . Where does the quarry 4x4 track start?

    • @JL2OFFRD
      @JL2OFFRD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      About a third of the way along Clements mill road in the left there is a clearing where the track starts
      If you get to Te Iringi camp site you have gone about 500m to far
      The track is on the left of the clearing you can’t really miss it
