So far this month i have finished the licanius trilogy, the stand, finished up the silo trilogy, now im gobbling up recursion. Then onto Lightbringer🎉 taking down sun eater some time this year. Great tbr 👏
Very excited for the DCC audiobook. I’m up in Edinburgh for a long weekend at the end of Feb, I think we both know what I’ll be listening to on my 5 hour train journey 😂 - need to rewatch episode one of bookshop hunters to figure out which shops I need to check out!
We're on the same wavelength when it comes to sci-fi! I started the year reading The Three Body Problem series and I'm hoping to continue the trend with some others that have been on my TBR for way to long!
The FOMO overcame me and i started Empire of Silence on 1/1. Alreadt finished it. Really liked it. And read the first novella The Lesser Devil that fits in between books 1 and 2 and liked it even more. I'll definitely be starting Howling Dark soon
1:23 I’ve had SO MUCH trouble reading this book. I amused used to flying through a Sanderson, but the prose is so sluggish and dragging it spoils the whole thing, at least for me
how did you even get past the first book, or the 3 books after that? I'm only ~20% through and from what I keep hearing on the internet I genuinely expected dialogue like this: "nah stormdaddy that's cap frfr, imma go rizz up odium, my shardblade is so skibbidi no cap frfr" from all the comments saying it's written like a gen z tiktok and turns out it's just written identically like everything else by Sanderson🤷♂ there's maybe a 10-15% increase in jokes, but that's about it.
Man I was reading so much and then marvel rivals dropped and now I spend my every free moment playing marvel rivals, and consuming marvel rivals content. IDK how this happened, I've not been this addicted to a MP game in years. But I have to get to grand master rank before I can stop .. that much I know.
I just got all available audiobooks for dungeon crawler Carl, so will be starting that soon, my goal this year was get into Sanderson books, Probably only reader on planet that hasn’t read any of his, they always intimidate me…. 😬 Currently reading belladonna trilogy then will probably start DCC book 1 & Sanderson mistborn era 1 bk 1… thx for vid & recs…🤓🕯️📖☕️🫶🏻
I love your vibe! Keep shining bright!
27 is not old, you young willow snapper
Can't wait to get my Sun Eaters books in May

The broken binding versions are so beautiful, man. I'm about 110 pages into Empire of Silence and Man. The writing is awesome.
BIG agree. Empire has been amazing. Closing in on halfway now and it just gets better
Where did you get Empire of Silence? I haven’t seen that cover. I like it.

I don’t plan my reading, but i hope to get to Grave Empire, Black Mantle, Hunger of the Gods, Bone Ships Wake, and Breath of a Dragon.
We love to see a stack of chunky books! And it’s so satisfying when you actually get through them all 😂
