    I just ordered this laptop refurbished for $319. I think it's a steal for what you get! Want to use it for some light gaming and media consumption on the go.

    How is it with Adobe:
    Photoshop
    Illustrator
    Aftereffects
    InDesign?

    I appreciate this information. However, some of us might do more sophisticated edits with animated titles, etc. Also, I am not recording video game footage; I am importing actual 4K camera footage.
    I tend to use DaVinci Resolve and Fusion instead of Premiere and After Effects because it's free. How is the experience with that?

    if i wanted to add sound effects use key frames add text and make cuts it would run decently for gaming videos?

    • @EVOTech1
      @EVOTech1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah all that is fine. What really brings it down is the heavy effects like blur or stabilization. Sound effects and keyframing works perfectly.

    I got this laptop but the Ryzen but it slower and have been looking for an assistant on how to boost it performance
    My Illustrator keeps crashing, blur runs a little slow and worst case of all is my unity makes the fan run too hot

    • @EVOTech1
      @EVOTech1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you have the Ryzen 5 3450U? What temps are you reaching in games and in unity? I’m surprised it’s over heating but I’ve never used the ryzen version. If that’s the case, I’m not sure if there’s much you can do. The level out performance, you could always raise the TDP, but if it’s already overheating all that will do is make things worse.

    Is this good 4 video editing cus im trying 2 get a laptop under 1k that has alot of storage fast upload good battery screen recording in 1080 p or higher + being able 2 run video editing

    • @EVOTech1
      @EVOTech1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it does a decent job at it depending on what you want to do. for the kinds of videos I make, it does a decent job especially since it has quicksync support. the biggest benefits of this system for video editors is the easily upgeadale storage, 16gb of ram, the quick sync support, and the fact that premiere pro and resolve support hardware acceleration on the intel igpu. if you want to do 4k work, then it can be a pain.

    do you know if you can run 3 or 4 monitors with this laptop? I am sure some type of hub would be required. also, it is my understanding that you will get the best graphics performance if you max out the system RAM with the fastest RAM possible. is this correct?

    • @EVOTech1
      @EVOTech1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure about max displays. I don't have a usbc dock with more than one output. They don't sell this specific laptop with this chip without 16GB of ram. in general I would recommend this chip with 16GB of ram with at least 3200mhz speed in any laptop with an iGPU that you plan on gaming on. LPDDR4X can be good because of the faster speed, but is usually in much more expensive laptops.

      thanks for the comment. I just bought a dell latitude 3320 (i7 11th gen w/ intel iris xe graphics). it does have a USB-C w/ alt. displayport port. so I will run a USB hub thru that and see if I can get a quad monitor display. my big screwup was thinking I could upgrade it from 8 GB RAM (what it came with) to 16 GB. but found out after I bought it the RAM is soldered onto the motherboard so I am stuck at 8GB RAM. it does have an NVME SSD. so I am hoping that will (at least somewhat) make up for only having 8GB of RAM. it does have the faster RAM LPDDR4X. I only need 1080P display on each monitor.

      @@wasatchm I wish windows wasn't so ram heavy. 8GB DDR4X would be fine if windows didn't eat up half just to exist.
