Extremely helpful, fitted to my gt86 trd. Very easy install and sounds great. Don’t forget the side bolt as I did and had to back track.

It'd be interesting to see the IAT's that you get with the intake on

JJB they sell the same Mishi kit on eBay. With a 3 day delevery time......not over 3 weeks like demon tweaks lol

Where are you getting the tune? BTW, the engine bay can be tidied up by using Allen-head M6 bolts and coloured washers to replace rusty machine screws.

It's a toss up between Fensport, Tuning Developments and Amber at the moment. Where did you get yours done?
I'll definitely look into the bolts, be nice to tidy it up

@@JXLPerformance I went down the Open Flash Tablet route for a generic Stage 2+ tune.

Sounds good. Not sure where the best place is to get them here in the UK. Not seen many around mostly EcuTek

How's the feel after changing the intake. I mean the power in low rpm, and the noise at driver and guest side. Did it work normally in hot weather, this is an important question. Ty~~

ZHU Jingzhe low rpm will affect the torque. The best choice should be beatbrush intake for 86.

@@haonansun7933 if beatrush is the best choice why is no one reviewing it?

Casey Juco because beatrush is a little bit pricy!

Do they ship to the US and do you know any other places to order an intake

I think they're based in the US buddy 👍 FT86 Speed Factory is another good source for intakes

This is the worst type of intake you can have on an FA20 motor. Your sucking in hot air, and it causes alot of issues with the MAF sensor. Tuners has issues with those short ram intakes.
Matter of fact it's best to use the Mishimoto silicone tube and a drop in air filter from K&N.
I'm not trying to be rude, just trying let you know. All your getting is more noise but your actually are going to lose power compared to your stock intake.

      @JXLPerformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

Appreciate the comment man. What makes you say it's the worst type & sucking in heat?

Haha. Genuinely curious though, I don't particularly agree with the comment, as the intake utilises the stock air feed. The only real difference is sound and surface area of the filter I feel. The car does have better throttle response mind

@@JXLPerformance Most intakes on this car mess up the MAF scaling. The Perrin intake on my car caused long term fuel trims to be off 10%. Took weeks of logging and re scaling to get it right.

The Mishimoto has a proven laminar flow, using an air straightener before the MAF. There are no tricks, the only thing that screws your MAF is turbulent air flow.
